Incredible outdoor venue for plays!! A former womens school that is a well preserved ruins. The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company holds their summer play series here. I saw Loves Labors lost tonight. Much fun and large audience.

Fantastic ruins of an old girls school that gave been preserved as a site for plays and other productions. The Chesapeake Shakespeare Players perform here throughout the summer. Great spot to visit, picnic,and walk around. Howard County Parks and Recreation oversee the property.

I attended an eventful night of Shakespeare play with about 25 of my closest friends. Very funny and enjoyed the entire evening. If you give them your mailing address you will definitely be bombarded with way too many flyers and advertisements.

As a Wedding photographer I can tell that this place is just unique. I had a honor to photograph wedding there last year. Totally involve with this place. I can call it peace of art. I suggest everybody to visit this place just to look at it and if youre planing wedding you definitely should look at it as a wedding venue!

We saw the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company perform here. It was an awesome venue for Shakespeare. We lucked out with cool weather and enough breeze to keep the bugs away. The theater company also provides complementary bug spray and sign block if you forget to bring your own.

Really neat unless you stumble upon the many weddings happening there. Then youre just kinda in the way.

Beautiful venue for a wedding

Loved the atmosphere...attended a beautiful wedding here! Just could be a little better parking wise esp for people w disabilities.

A fabulous location for outdoor theater! All the plays I have seen were excellent and were enhanced by the exotic atmosphere of the ruins, the woods and the crowd. We enjoy picnicking before the show and the quiet walk back to the parking lot. (You could also ride the shuttle to your car.)

We stumbled upon this historic place by accident. Had no idea it was here. The guide/ docent was a very friendly and knowledgeable teen who shared her knowledge about the place. Very interesting history. Cool architecture. We walked there. A fairly steep hill from Main street was a work out on a hot day. Nice walk if you are up to a big hill.

Movable Macbeth by the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company was wonderful.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company presented A Midsummer Nights Dream An excellent production with proceeds benefiting Ellicott City Flood Relief. Highly recommend the show and the venue.

We went for a performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream. The ruins are just perfect for out door Shakespeare.

Scenic and historic location overlooking historic Ellicott City. The building is in ruin but has been stabilized and offers tours and events. It can also be rented for parties and other occasions.
