Nice place but make sure you get tickets closer up for the show, the balcony is to far away to see clear and the sound could of been better. I will go again but make a better choice on seating.

The silent movies with the organist are so interesting and entertaining! Getting a glimpse at cinema from a century ago, great music with an amazing instrument and really cool black and white film. It lends itself to a light hearted, fun escape from the modern day-to-day while experiencing something from long before our time.

Took a group of senior citizens to yet another concert at the Lerner. The volunteers always treat my residents like royalty. The fact that they routinely go above and beyond to make sure the elderly have as good of experience as possible says a lot about how things are run. Cant wait to go back!!

I love the renovations they have made to the Lerner. I remember seeing much potential in the space when it just the Elco. Im glad someone else agreed. My only complaint is that the seating, particularly in the balcony, is quite limited. If youre a person of larger stature, your best bet is to get an aisle seat. As part of this, the price for the seating can be a bit steep; maybe I wouldnt mind so much if I got more leg room. Otherwise, a genuinely nice venue.

The silent movies with organist Clark Wilson bring to life the movies from the past.He brings pure joy to any movie he performs with and without even realizing it, you forget that one person is creating this music magic. With a brief history lesson about the organ/the workings and a short intro to the movie, you sit back, and enjoy. Before you know it, youll stand up and applaud the MISTRO of the organ for taking you into real movie magic.I have been going to Lerner for their silent movies since the beginning and will continue to do so.I also have season tickets for their stage productions which are also first class. If you want a special night/day out, try the silent movies at the Lerner.Next show, Buster Keaton as Sherlock, Jr. Sunday, Nov. 24 at 3pm.

This is a really nice & beautiful old theater. I have been to a few concerts here. My only complaint is the bands lighting sometimes blinds you when they have a larger light show & a couple of bands struggled with balancing the instruments sound over the singers voices. If you havent ever tried box seats the next time youre going to take in a show, let me urge you to try it. Im probably cutting off my own opportunities but if you do, I can wager youll find yourself like us not wanting to sit in the general audience ever again.

I was at the Lerner to watch the free, pre-Thanksgiving showing of Elf; and, as usual it was a wonderful experience. The staff and volunteers were very helpful, kind, and patient with all the people. The venue itself, inside the theater was gorgeous, and the seats, the floors, and the bathrooms were very neat and clean. I always enjoy going to this theater. This is especially true because I remember, when I was younger and it was the Elco, how dingy, dusty, and grimy it used to be, but it always showed echoes of the beauty that once was. So, seeing all the renovations and the beauty that has been restored, it is always special walking into Lerner, staring up at the ceiling that used to have a gray tinge and peeling paint and see rich golds and ornate, intricate designs fitting of a theater.

Have seen local plays, 5 stars, & tonight saw the illusionist Jay Lowenhouse. He was entertaining & genuine. His staff is mostly his family & he engages the audience & gives a heartfelt performance. Courageous when we can tune into AGT & be blown away. This family works together to entertain & engage the audience in a truly organic show.

Its a very nice place, with lots of seating. Their plays are good, even thought I wish they did more plays instead of musicals. We can get in with a school group, which is nice that they allow that. They get kids from schools all over involved in performances, and give question and answer time at the end of the plays. Good place
