Interesting place, plenty to see, reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great if you want a little variety, there are quite a few different buildings that house different types of collections. A really great little local history museum.

Nice little stop.We didnt go into the museum other than to use the restroom.Outside is pretty cool with a glimpse of life back in the old days.Spent 20 minutes checkin it out.

Fun place to visit on Route 66. Ticket 5dollars. The grandma in the old dentist bar house is the best guide I ever met. She’s so enthusiastic and friendly.

Wow. Very impressed. You can walk through an old western town and look through the windows of the buildings at the exhibits. Extremely well done and well kept. Also, the National Rt 66 and Transportation Museum is well worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Words cannot describe how much my wife and I enjoyed this experience. And with only $5 for admission, it was also a great value!

Great place great fun and very educational

We really enjoyed our visit to the museums and displays. We are road tripping with our motorcycle the hole Route 66. The sign is amazing “Worlds Largest Route 66 sign” so we had to get a shot with the bikes and of course the all important selfie. Thanks for a well laid out visit.

Great stop to see and get your legs some walking after driving! Museum admission is reasonable to bring the family. Its a place to bring knowledge and memories. The soda fountain has a real juke box and bottle soda. All around this was the PERFECT stop!!

Interesting museums in an authentic old house. Two museums in the building- upstairs is a small rodeo museum. We visited the museums as part of a museum complex in Elk City that made it easy to visit all the museums easily. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We stopped, expecting a short break from the road. An unexpected pleasure. So much to see. Very friendly staff. Well worth the price.

Wonderful exhibits. Lots of old time things, but not cluttered or overwhelming. Added bonus were chairs or areas to sit down while enjoying the exhibits. Mother cant walk or stand much anymore but this small gesture made the visit very enjoyable for all of us. Highly recommend if you enjoy looking into the past.

This is an awesome museum! It was cold when I visited, but it was still fun and interesting. There is so much history to look at, and I really enjoyed the interactive sections such as sitting in the cars. So glad I had the opportunity to visit and will bring my kids back!

This is a gem of a museum. It has some opportunities for interaction and is well stocked with all manner of interesting objects and structures. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Admission is only five dollars for seniors. Very reasonable. I highly recommend a visit.

Its completely worth spending a few hours here. Admission is inexpensive. Lots to see with a tremendous variety of historical items on display.

We were pretty impressive from our visit to this small representation of an old traditional American city, at the Elk Town. Beautiful place to walk around and take memorial photos. Friendly and helpful staff which was provide useful information. Nice for all ages, absolutely worth visiting.

I wish it would have been open. I would have loved to went inside the old church that was there. A lot of history to look at. Pretty interesting.

Stayed in elk city for a week my wife and I went threw the museum 2 times it is amazing! Put it on your bucket list!!!

This is a very nicely planned, well done and maintained museum, that included four different museum buildings as well as the antique village. We were impressed with all the memorabilia collected. From antique farm equipment to the recreated village with store fronts. The two story home filled with memories of the past, including a second floor Rodeo museum was interesting. Well worth the $5 and a must see for Rt66 history.

We enjoyed the museums and walking through the old town. The Women at the museums are very friendly and helpful. Well worth the stop! Should have stopped the first time we passed by.

Totally worth it! Very interesting exhibits, very well displayed and organised. Super cute buildings and antiques displayed. Every detail has been thought of, even the working restrooms for visitors are unique and inspired! Not only the route 66 musem is REALLY interesting, all the rest is equally worth the visit!

This was great. Loved all of the displays. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady running the transportation museum and the couple in the soda shop.

Lots of neat pieces here of a historic part of the US. Staff here were very welcoming and friendly. Check out the koi in the pond outside when you visit!

Stopped by on my way through Oklahoma. Really excellent museum about the history of route 66 and Elk City. Very extensive, took about 2 hours to enjoy everything, but was worth it. All the employees were super friendly. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I both enjoyed walking around and touring the various museums. We felt like we had stepped back in time. There’s something for everyone.

A great collection of historical items located in period buildings with a focus on local history related to the rise and fall of Route 66. Walking the grounds you can peek inside windows to see complete historical scenes in the businesses that once populated Route 66 in the area. There is a working blacksmith shop where customers are encouraged to interact, ask questions and participate. A great stop for all ages on our cross country trip.

Worth stopping with all the history it had to offer. Small fee to enter. A cold day so did not spend much time at outside history buildings.

We loved looking at the historical objects and learning about the history of the building. Its also a tourist information center. Its free but after your tour you will want to make a donation. Rumor has its haunted.

For just a few bucks a person, this kitschy, kitchen-sink local museum might just have something interesting for everyone in the car. It claims to be the Route 66 Museum, but once you get past the first couple buildings (dedicated to the good ol days to an eye-rolling degree for a millennial like me) youre looking at local history exhibits. An interesting glimpse at small-town Americana.

My beautifully sweet daughter works here. People can learn alot from visiting a museum. Very nice place.

Quaint little museum complex in the heart of Elk City, Oklahoma of all places. Great trip back to yesteryear, had a good time looking at the highway 66 exhibits, and my son loved that many of them are interactive

Great place to stop and a take a step back in time. They replicated the town from pioneer days. Theres a lot to look at, and a lot of photo opportunities. There is even a gold fish pond.
