Butler Community College

Butler has endless life enhancing programs! Coming here to this school has been life-changing for me! No place has perfect staff, but almost every instructor and administrator I have encountered has been passionate about their job and helping students. I have been here for a year and a half and am sad that my Butler clock is ticking. I will forever hold onto my memories here. They are always looking for ways to grow and be better for the students. Additionally, it is extremely affordable and there is financial assistance everywhere you look. I suggest Butler for all types of majors and activities, from athletics, to video/sound production, to the fine arts department (which is THE BEST vocal program I can even imagine), Butler is gonna set you up for success and give you many connections for your field of work.

Decent enough place I guess. It’s a cheaper college that’s credited around the US which is nice. The staff are friendly and nice most of the time. Pretty flexible on making your own schedule as long as the class is available at that time or not full. The early college program is a really nice feature. I took it during high school and I’m almost done with my associates degree in I3D Tech at the age of 19. Definitely recommend for anyone in El Dorado or surrounding areas in need of a good and cheaper college education.

I had some trouble with a few aspects of getting my course started (mostly operator error) and every time I called or emailed, the service I received was prompt and outstanding. I am ridiculously impressed with the staff at all campus locations. They went above and beyond anything I expected. They were courteous, prompt, helpful, accurate, friendly, and more. I am just really impressed and grateful.

I have had the pleasure of a close association with this Community College for nine years from a different prospective. I provide housing exclusively to male students attending here and have been blessed with having students from all areas of study live at my home. Over the years, if there has ever been a problem that a student brings to me regarding the school, I would suggest to the student to address the problem to the appropriate professor or adviser/counselor and have always observed the outcome to be handled professionally and to the students satisfaction.Additionally, this college strives to provide academic excellence as well as providing extensive financial assistance to deserving students. I would strongly recommend any student looking for a wonderful college experience to contact this college and walk around the campus. Talk to other students and visit with an adviser. You wont be disappointed!

The WiFi in dorms is Deplorable. The sad part is you paying your money to live in the dorms and it’s always disconnecting or buffering. What makes it really frustrating is when you trying to do homework or a research paper in your room and you can’t. Because the library isn’t 24/7and you don’t want to be bothered by others or be distracted so you go in your room. Furthermore, when it comes to taking a break from school work you can’t even watch a proper movie without it buffering. I have even try to buy Ethernet LAN Network Cable to help with my internet connection because there is a jack on the walls in each dorm room but the jacks don’t work. It’s so bad they have two routers one for the students and one for the staff. However, the staff WiFi has a password but the student WiFi is public. Keep in mind that staff WiFi has full bars. This is ridiculous!

I would give this place no stars if I could. They do not help you and are constantly unwilling to work with students, or past students in helping them with their future endeavors. I reccomend trying to find your degree at another School. Hutch CC is awesome and are all great people and will help you even if you are no longer with them.

I had nothing but the best experience with the school while I was there for two years before I moved forward to Wichita State University. Definitely five stars.

I havent even started yet and Im less than pleased with this school. I paid to go to an orientation class back in April and here I am in July just now learning that theres a student email which I found emails saying that I could have gotten scholarships if I had updated my application - nice to know! Also had to find out from another student how to find the books I will need. I dont know when I need to move in to Cummins Hall nor who my roommate will be. Not a single email, phone call or letter in the mail so Im at a loss for what I need to do to be prepared for the upcoming school year that starts in LESS THAN A MONTH. Really people?! Im appalled.

The school itself is great. The financial aide is the absolute worst though. They audited me every time I applied for fasfa. They wanted all my W2s, my tax transcripts, my 1040ez, and other documents too. They created forms just for me to fill out. Every day it was something new. I felt like I was being punished for working full time while going to school full time. I almost decided to go to a more expensive school just so I wouldnt have to deal with these jokers that dont have a clue.

The English 102 Professor on this campus (Victor Chavez) really sucks! I hate to say this but it is the truth. He waited until the last day to grade our assignments, and he did not have enough time to grade our works. I can tell he just randomly pick up some paragraphs to correct our errors because after I read his comments and re-read my paper, I noticed some errors that I made and he did not point out. It IS very obvious errors such as putting the i next to each other, which does not even make sense. I would not recommend taking his class AT ALL! VERY SLOW on grading so you do not know your grades until (if youre lucky) the day before the end of the class.I dont know what kind of professor they still have to offer. Out of 10 online classes Ive taken, 8 graded slow. Awfully slow.

Butler is a great college! I have had no troubles with them and most of the instructors have been great!!

WORST PLACE TO DEAL WITH, DROP A CLASS IN TIME AND THEY WILL STILL WANT PAYMENT OR SEND TO COLLECTORS.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND THERE CRAPPY TACTICS

Wow horrible school. OUT OF STATE STUDENTS BEWARE! i wanted to take a nursing course. It was my belief Id have to pay for the class to be registered. I couldnt drop the classes even though I tried. A month later they send an email to my personal account saying im responsible for paying for the classes I didnt even take! They stated they sent an email on the changed policy which requires students to manually drop classes otherwise you still have to pay. Well they sent that email to the butler email. So why not send it to my personal email like they did when asking for payment! Sent an appeal and still didnt get approved! No where on their website did they talk about this changed policy. MONEY HUNGRY SCHOOL! I had to pay but im freaking disgusted and annoyed!

Great college the teachers and staff their are wonderful and very helpful.

The website is so helpful, cant wait to start

I want to go there... but a day I go there!!!

If it was possible to give negative stars I would. I played for football for butler and blew out my knee on their practice facilities. After surgery they refused to pay for anything even tho I was on their insurance. I was 19 with a bum knee and no job and a $15000 debt that wasnt mine.

Good fast personal

Great Community and a Great quality

Never have I experienced such unprofessionalism at an academic institution until I attended Butler.

Great college

Good times good times

My mom goes here

Financial aid is a nightmare to deal with!
