First of all, HORRIBLE STAGE!!!!! It was the smallest stage to even consider putting on a large production. The director doesnt understand the quality the small stage is capable of producing. THIS STAGE ISNT BROADWAY!! I understand that this is community college and not to expect high quality experience, but the staff needs to put on productions that would require less extravagant stage plays. I had the luxury of seeing the Little Mermaid and when I received my playbill I was amazed by how damaged it was given to me. The staff clearly has no etiquette with packaging and with seating because they allowed guest to come in during the acts. I watched as these people got on stage to get to their seats. It was both distracting and offensive to the actors on stage. I even saw a couple of prepaid ticket holders get their seats taken by staffs inappropriate seating arrangements. If the director continues to expect that by performing these iconic plays they would get great reviews they are WRONG! The only people who would even give this place good ratings are those who have family or are themselves the actors and staff. If they want to succeed in the community level of theater productions, the staff and directors must learn to understand the basics of running a proper theater. This includes choosing appropriate stage plays.

Love the intimacy of the theatre. Your upclose and personal with the actors. Theres no bad seat. You can order seats on line and parking is free. Most productions Ive attended I enjoyed. Great price for a fun night of entertainment. Im so impressed with the actors/students. GREAT JOB!!

First year we purchased season tickets. Students are talented. Staging is clever. Choice of productions leave me flat.

Grossmont College Theatre Arts produces excellent work. Always striving for professional quality, this community college theatre department is a gem for east county, San Diego.
