Our club recently rented out this pavilion for a get together. We had several families with kids and they enjoyed the playground equipment right next to the pavilion. We also rented the volleyball net, but because of the uneven ground the players soon quit the field, fearing a twisted ankle. Next time, well just rent the horeshoes as they were next to the pavilion.As for facilities, there is a water faucet that seems to be dedicated for the pavilion, but was being used by the campers next to the pavilion. They had put a splitter on the faucet, but it wasnt very good and sprayed anyone who turned it on, and was useless for filling a bowl with water. The lights only come on when it senses darkness, but not when a storm comes through and blots out the sun. There seemed to be plenty of outlets around the pavilion.The grills were serviceable, if a bit rusty, although it was harder to keep a fire in the smaller grill going with just charcoal. We did not try out the fireplace, partly because of all the spiderwebs near it, but it also had a grill for cooking. I suspect that this grill would be better for indirect cooking with a pan, than direct cooking on the grill as the grill spaces were wider.Overall we enjoyed our visit to the Caddo Pavilion at Arcadia Lake and look forward to holding our next annual picnic there!
