Nice park with a lot of space if you want to do some running, bicycle riding to spend quiet time under the tree. Loop around the lake is asphalted and easy to walk. Surrounding large areas of grass with a lot of shade from the trees are clean and beautiful.I couldn’t find any water fountains, and regretted that I didn’t bring more than one bottle of water. If you want to enjoy some quiet time, bug repellent and a small blanket are a must.Park is dog friendly and is very enjoyable to walk with your puppy. My big boy sure enjoyed summer breeze.

Its a very nice, big and clean park with playground for kids and pond for fishing.We went on Sunday and it wasnt crowded at all.Also, there was a plenty of space for parking besides the decks and the seats everywhere :)Id recommend it to anyone who needs a safe place to have some fresh air and enjoy weather

This is a nice little county park that is very family-friendly. People come here to walk your dogs, take your children outside, enjoy nature, and walk along the lake. There is a marked paved path circling the lake, basic restroom facilities during daylight hours, basketball courts, a covered Pavilion where people dance, and of course the lake. No boats are allowed, and no swimming allowed. People are allowed to fish with a state license. There are supposedly Bass in lake although I have never seen one. There are trout but the trout are notoriously difficult to catch in this Lake oh, but it is fun trying. There are also catfish. The problem with using bait in this lake is it is overpopulated with thousands of very small sunfish who voraciously attack all types of natural bait before your target species can find them. Still its close by and a nice place to spend a couple hours. Also it is adjacent to an elementary school so there is a strong police presence and frequent patrols by Park Rangers.

Nice park. Clean and well maintained. Not too crowded. Good for walking and has a nice playground for kids.

This park has everything you can imagine! Tennis courts, basketball court, trails, workout stations, playgrounds in every corner, enough picnic tables and grills for everyone and a pond to go fishing. I have been to many parks in NJ but nothing beats Roosevelt so far, and I have brought friends and families over and they would say the same! Its an enormous park but my favorite spot is where the pond is. I love to lay down under the tree during summertime since its breezy around the pond. The park also hosts a play every year though I havent got the chance to see it and they unfortunately close during the pandemic. Anyway, Roosevelt Park suits the needs of everybody, and I would highly recommend this park to any outdoorsy people like myself.

I originally planned to go to Asbury Park Boardwalk (the beach is my happy place). Unfortunately, there was too much traffic going North so I decided to come here, to Roosevelt because of the lake. As long as I could be near the water, I would be good. And, sure thing...I found a bench, wrote in my diary and enjoyed the peace. Although, people were walking with their families it was calming. The path along the lake was just as peaceful.This park offers alot....the lake, basketball and tennis courts, bbq, and a small vendor who sells food.I have to say...I enjoyed being alone...and feeling safe at the park.

Beautiful small park with numerous benches and grills to have a picnic. The kids playground is a nice addition with a few bike paths and trails. There is also a nice water body near the street thats a great place to take a walk around, especially in the evenings.

This is a beautiful park with scenic lake and lots of open space for picnic, walking and jogging. Apparently the lake is well stocked with fish. We spotted a guy catch and release 50-inch catfish from the lake. It also has a number of nice sports facilities like tennis courts, softball fields and basketball courts. Overall a nice place to chill on weekends afternoon

Very beautiful park with lovely open spaces, plenty of green everywhere, tennis courts, basketball courts, an ice skating rink (they even have classes during winter), a beautiful lake, a walking trail, childrens play areas and BBQ areas. Always lively and colorful especially during the summer months. It does get busy and sometimes finding a parking spot can be a challenge, but its worth it because the park is beautiful and has a lot to offer. Great way to spend the weekend and quality time with the family.

Beautiful park with a lake, basketball court, tennis court, skating rink and path to walk around the lake. Usually I have found diverse group of people. Its suitable for active people as well as someone who just wants to sit and have a picnic.

Wonderful park with centrally placed Pond which has Ducks also. Kids love this place as they can take their boats and play. The park also has play areas for all ages. Ocassional visit of Deers adds to the Charm.

Big, beautiful, well maintained park with plenty of free parking. Theres a playground for the kids, next to bathroom building. On one side, they have picnic tables. On the other as side is lovely lake, with ducks. Most people walk around it, on the hiking path, while others go fishing. Theres plenty of benches ( and trash cans ), along the path too. Very peaceful and scenic.

Courts are in great condition. They are well lit at night. Only issue is that lights require a season pass and the wait can be long there are only 7 courts total at this park and they are spread out in 2 groups. Came here for a meet up and had a great time.

Gorgeous, huge park with ALL....I mean ALL things you can include in a park. I just stumbled on it, but which to know it’s history because it so big, including even a school with view to the water. The best is that as big that it is, you have short an sweet routes to get out or around. I love it!!!

So much space and so much fun can be done in Roosevelt Park! I always come here and my family enjoy being here! I recommend all families and friends to visit Roosevelt Park :)

Nice area for walking and events. I was only in one of their picnic areas, pre-booked, and unfortunately it looked like someone had an event there before us without paying for a pass.

It is a huge park with long and multiple walking trails and multiple picnic spots with multiple parking spots nearby. The lake is nice with great benches around to sit and relax. Enjoyable experience.

Love this park. This place has it all. There is a huge lake to walk around for excersize along with other paths throughout the park. There is ice skating, plays in the park, 3 areas for kids to play, basketball courts. There are bathrooms throughout the park as well. You can even cook out if you wanted. Love it!

Nice refuge in a crowded area. We had a picnic on the lawn with takeout food from Jose Tejas. Nice lawn, pond beyond it, good food, easy parking, not crowded during the week.

Roosevelt Park is great. Lots of separate spaces to explore, water features and both paved and wooded paths. This park is huge and offer something for everyone. Definitely worth the trip!

Great park! Very big park, plenty of parking on all sides. The park has basketball courts, tennis courts, about three separate locations with playgrounds for kids, baseball fields. Very nice, clean and always seems to be filled with people doing different activities. From picnics, sports, BBQs.

It was nice driving through but people werent following social distancing regulations so I stayed in my car and left.

Beautiful place to hike/walk especially during fall season. You will find that even though this park is in the middle of very busy streets and highways, you will still experience the calmness and quiet in nature. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick 15-20 minute meditation away from the noise.

Very good place, clean too. The park has a small area for kids with some small rides and all. There is a badminton, basketball court. The walk area around the lake is also amazing. Overall what you expect from a park is available here.

Roosevelt park is by far one of the nicest parks in the Middlesex County area. It has a similar feel of a mini central park in NYC. This park has events all summer long and has many hiking trails and different playgrounds through out the park. You can actually drive to each playground and park your car near by. The lake and bridge is very pretty. The route around the lake is a good distance and enjoyable.

This is probably the biggest park around here. I havent been able to find a park this big. Theres a lot of spots where you can walk or chill. Its super nature-y here as well. And theres also a ice skate rink and a lake and other spots where families and friends can enjoy.

Park was nice & clean, everyone was staying 6 apart. It was nice taking a walk & enjoying the scenery & watching the ducks swimming. Would definitely go back, I felt very safe.

This place covers a few acres of land, it has beautiful trails, multiple playgrounds for kids, lots of parking and several locations for a picnic with grills. My family and I enjoyed our time here and cant wait to go back.

This park is a favorite since childhood. I took my children here all the time, we walked, played and had photo sessions. Its changed a lot over the years but has always been beautiful and clean. I great place to relax for all ages. My kids are grown now but I still come all the time because I love the pond and like to just sit and relax or walk with my friend and my dog to get our exercise in.

Huge park with a beautiful lake, tons on walking paths, tennis and basketball courts, lots of parking and picnic areas. It is in my rotation of parks.

It was nice to see that the bathrooms were open. Most people were social distancing and wearing masks. A lot of parking spaces were roped off which made no sense. This forces people to cram into a couple of small tiny parking lots defeating the whole distancing objective. If more lots were open, people would be able to spread out and park thereby staying farther apart!

It is a good place for recreation and fitness in Edison, New Jersey.

Small friendly family park, one day 2 police officers were riding a cart passing out donuts and Apple cider.....Really!!!!!....

Great place to take a leisurely stroll or exercise. During the warmer seasons you could picnic or grill. They also have a skating rink and have various live performances. All you have to do is bring a chair and blankets and enjoy the performance. Concession stands are open during the performance. Everything is family oriented.

Roosevelt Park is the hub for edison around guys. This has everything right from tennis court, ice skating.A very big lake is the gift for walking. Around a mile to cover one trip. This lake has plenty of bufflehead . Watching them entering and exiting is awesome experience. People just sit close to them and just watch them swimming.It has tracks for biking, I see few use electric skate boars, hoverboards as well. Saw some writter, musician are sits in the corner and getting some creativity.Parking is huge. Its available in the lake side as well.It has small kids play area. Barbecue area. And huge place round the lake to play volleyball and Badminton in a larger group.

Very nice park, it isnt that big, but is good as it has a playground, basketball court, and a nice path for walking.

When I got to this park the first time, I did not expect anything. But I was really impressed how big and diverse it is. We decided to visit the area where the pond is located, and this is just 1/4 of the whole park. The pond is nice too by the way. There is a good walkway around it, and nice views of the apartments building on the hill top.This park contains lots of picnic areas and it really deserves to visit it at least several times.

What a lovely place to relax and walk peacefully. The park is quiet, clean and full of friendly people, you almost forget youre in Central Jersey. The light at dusk and at dawn is nice, bring your camera because there are plenty of wild bird around to shoot.

A great place to relax, enjoy and take a walk. The kids can play while we can enjoy the breeze during the spring n summer.

Clean,barbered lawns,nice trees. Pic ic areas usually crowded but there are tables by the Plays in Park theater ticket box if you dont need a grill.

This is our go-to location for family picnics with families meeting from northern and central Jersey. Theres a playground for the kids, open space for playing football, basketball courts, and we can usually find a tree under which to picnic.

My first time there and I absolutely loved it. Nice and clean and quiet. Great for small picnics and family gathering.

Very good place, people & atmosphere.

A nice place to visit during summers, there are open grooves where you can host a small family picnic. For larger groups you can reserve a Groove. Good for exercise, they have fitness stations that challenge you for activities. It has free parking however some activities like ice skating rink, tennis court access are available by paying some fees.

Nice park you can enjoy the time bike riding, playing basketball or even BBQ.

Nice park for a walk or run around the lake. You can go fishing with a license from Edison. They fill it with trout once a year. There is a play ground, basketball and tennis courts, skating rink, playhouse, performing arts, barbecue grills and park benches. Edison does so a good job of keeping it clean and limiting the Canadian geese problem that you find in other parks.
