4.5 stars-I would have gave it a 5/5 stars but the food from the Pub was burnt and lacking. Not worth your money.My family of 20 ppl. stayed in the Locker Room and enjoyed the room greatly. Plenty of towels and nice hygiene products (Bath and Body bottles that are mounted on the wall). The beds were clean and comfortable. The air hockey and foosball tables are great for additional entertainment. The staff is AWESOME (very friendly and helpful). The resort was clean and staff were observed doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.I recommend getting the all access pass so your family can enjoy themselves in Action City. Theres enough activities for adults and children (the adults in my family enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor go-kart tracks). Im sure pre-pandemic, theres tons of people, but the weekend my family went, there was just the right amount of people to allow for social distancing even in the pools and trampoline park.Overall, I highly recommend Metropolis Resort! My family will be visiting again.

Size of the room was decent -- loved the electric fireplace, jacuzzi, and king sized bed. Bathroom fan and light switch by the mirror didnt work so the blow dryer was out as well. Towels werent too soft but doable. Appreciated the gentleman who checked us in, but the lady who checked us out didnt show much care about how our stay.

Had a great stay at Metropolis Resort in Eau Claire, WI. Bed was really comfortable. Staff was super helpful & friendly. Kids loved the jump park, arcade & water slides. We will be back for sure!

A guy named Gray at the front desk is PHENOMENAL! My husband and I reserved a weekend stay, and we added a full day ticket for Arcade games and the trampoline park, which cost extra money. Our total for the weekend was going to cost $364. However, when we arrived, Gray told us that the hotel was doing a discount so he made us a new reservation which included ALL the perks that the resort offered for only $216.00! Gray saved us so much money and gave us more activities to do during our stay. Other locations would have just charged us the $364.00 with only the trampoline park and the arcade, but Gray helped us out!The review would have been 5 stars, but, unfortunately, we found dry blood stains on our sheets :(

We had a wedding near by Metropolis so we decided to stay at the resort as we have 2 kids, ages 13 and 10. We stayed Friday night through Sunday. The Chaos water park was great for all of us. Enough for everyone to enjoy. The food and drinks were great and great prices. The Action City was fun for the kids and adults to either participate or watch. The had indoor and outdoor go carts, mini golf, Zipline, bumper cars, laser tag, VR games, etc. The staff was nice. Ill stay again the next time Im in the area

Would have been better if the water park and/or arcade area opened up sooner. Basically had to choose one or the other

Action City and the attractions are very overpriced, and the passes you purchase expire even if you dont use all the points. I saw a couple cleaning precautions in place, like the bumper cars being wiped down after each use. But for the 2 days I was there, I never saw anyone walking around to wipe down any of the arcade games. They also werent cleaning the VR equipment after each use, and others VR attendant let the same family use it over and over for at least two hours while no one else that kept trying to stand in line got to play.That being said, the attractions were fun, and we had a good time with friends. But places like Big Thrill Factory have all of the same attractions minus the water park and zipline, and are much cheaper and their points dont expire.

Staff in the hotel and bar are top notch. The evening hotel guy is amazing as was the bartender and waitstaff. Rooms could be quieter. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely come back!

This was an awsome and budget friendly place to celebrate our daughters birthday. Plenty for the kids to do and the lifeguards were very attentive to the children. Also love the warm air since we went in the winter, very cozy. We will be going again and again.

This place was a fantastic place to go for our 1st family vacation!! We have 2 autistic children and this place was perfect for our young children. Our room was on the 1st floor and it was very spacious!! Our room included 2 queen sizebeds, table and 2 chairs, a refrigerator, and microwave. Our bathroom had a decent size sink, shower/bathtub and right outside the bathroom was an extra sink/mirror combo. Our room wasnt too far either from the restaurant, lobby, and entrance to the hotel and just down the hallway was the entrance to the indoor water park!! The restaurant they have inside the hotel is called The Pub. They have EXCELLENT food!! We ordered breakfast and dinner there a few times the weekend we stayed and we were never disappointed! Cant wait to go back here again!!

This place was great the only 2 things that I would have liked was a place I couldve actually swam. And the life guards were kids that should tell you all you need to know. Other than that my kids had a great time and I got my moneys worth.

It was really good room could have been cleaner my sheets were stained and a towel was stained. Service was good staff was excellent. Thank you for the stay.

The parks, restaurant and bar are only open Friday thru Sunday. Myself and the others in my group all agreed that the beds suck! Other than that everything was fine.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Our only issue was keeping the temperature in the room comfortable. It would be really cold or really hot but we dealt with it. I think it had more to do with the season change then anything. Welcome to Midwest weather. Lol.

The hotel was fantastic, staff was good, I definitely won’t forget this place, the staff running the indoor go-cart was fantastic after a group of young guys decided to ram me into the wall. He made sure I was ok. (I ended up with a nasty knee contusion)

Visiting a place like this during a pandemic was risky, but we were happy to see all the precautions being taken in an attempt to keep the environment clean and safe. We ultimately had a good time.

My grandson had a wonderful birthday at the water park and had good food.liked it so much we decided to stay the night!

It was great, the life guards were very nice and pleasant to be around and they were just a pleasant atmosphere

So much activities to do for the family. Fair price for the amount of entertainment available. Pool area was smaller then expected but still had all the basic stuff a kid would want.

The loud obnoxious drunk in the bar was pretty annoying

Staff were great! It was a bummer that a lot was closed due to COVID but we still had a blast and they compensated well for the things being closed.. if you want fill water park, recommend a weekend stay as during the week things are limited..

I had a great experience from checking in to checking out. I was early to the hotel and I was treated like I was the only person there. The young man behind the counter gave me directions around the hotel and I went off to do laundry while he personally looked for a room that was cleaned earlier than usual. I loved the bed as soon as I sat down. Breakfast in bed, drink specials and great deals on the attractions for guests. When I checked out I discovered my car battery was dead and they jumped to my aid. 2 gentlemen ran out to help cause I parked with the nose of my car against a concrete barrier. I couldnt get my hood open because of it but they stood in knee high snow to reach the latch. Omg they even used their personal car to jump start me. I was stopped getting into my car because there was a lot of snow around my car; they shoveled it so I didnt have to step in it. I have never had strangers care so much for a customer. Thank you

My parents, my boys and I had an excellent time there. So much fun! Theyre COVID attentive. Fingers crossed in 2 weeks well all be healthy still. There were hand sanitizers all over the place. I saw people cleaning games and tables frequently.

Its our first time here. Ive been working at few hotels with water parks in the past. Lets start with the pools. They are in good shape. Stairs to the slide could use power wash but they are in decent shape. Most of the attractions are working. Lifeguards doing decent job. Seen worse and better. Only thing I can recommend is to use plastic bin or cart on the wheels while changing garbage in the parks. Food its in decent price. Ordered two chicken tender baskets with fries and definitely its enough for two smaller kids and two adults. Action city is lots of fun. Most of the games are working and they give you fair chance to win. Dairy Queen serve quality ice cream. Staff is wearing clean clothes and is very polite. In that area I could recommend someone to wipe the tables more often as people come and go. Hotel room is in good shape. Beds and matress are not that hard no need to make drama about it. Sheets and pillows are nice and clean. Overall room is in good repair. Shower is not draining water fast enough most likely need a maintenance touch to remove all the hair. Restrooms where clean and stocked. I really like the soap, lotion, shampoo dispenser. You can be picky on things but end to end you are here to have fun not to seat in the room and look for the crumbs under the bed. Both kids had fun. Ages 8 and 2. There is something to do for everyone. It seems like its fairly slow this weekend. Especially Friday was nice and quiet at the water park. Definitely we will be back for the price we payed its worth of every single penny. I went thru the comments before we arrive and I was a bit worried... No reason for that. Its not a Hilton in downtown or 800$ Disney. Its great place for family to come and have fun. Thank you.

Everything in one place was awesome! Food and fun you don’t even have to leave the hotel! Awesome time for my little kids! I’d say best for 6mo - 12yo. Teens would have fun with a friend for sure!

Wow! This place was great! I probably had as much fun as the kids. Theres a nice Mexican restaurant right next to this place. Only real con is the water side isnt powerful enough to push you. I had to keep pulling myself to the bottom.

The menu at the pub could have more variety. The bowling breaks down alot. We have been coming for eight years. It is a great place for the children.

This place is great, the price for a hotel room and all day passes to the water was a good deal. We paid extra for all day unlimited passes to Action City and it was completely worth it! Between the go-karts, water park, arcade, trampoline, lazer tag, virtual reality, there was so much for us to do we never went outside for the entire weekend. I would highly recommend this place as it is cost friendly and has so much to offer. The hotel rooms were typical, and the beds were actually comfortable. We couldnt hear the people around us in the surrounding rooms, and staff was very friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant was good, typically food offerings. My husband says he could hear noises but I heard nothing. I would recommend staying here.

This was a great get away for the kids. Sadly the one thing they wanted to do most was closed due to covid (the foam warrior course) but there was plenty of other stuff to keep them entertained. Spend 2 nights here and the room was large enough for 2 adults and 3 children. Water park had something fun for all the kids. We usually bring our own meals and snacks. Had pizza one night as we had a coupon which was meh but we didnt go here for the food. Staff was helpful and friendly. It is nice that the water park is on separate sides then the amusement park. Younger kids would never realize there were two sides lol. Amusement park had packages that were spendy but way cheaper then if you paid for each game. It was great the bumper cars, mini golf, and go carts were included in the package. Would bring them back again.

We took my daughter and her friends to celebrate her birthday and it was the worst trip ever. We got the girls the locker room with games inside so the can play when the place is closed,one of the features was the air hockey table that didnt work on top of it they says they knew it didnt work and are working on it but the tech will stop by in the morning(they have more tables switch them out if its not working) my girls love air hockey and it was a perfect set up we thought. They gave us a foot long screwdriver to help with the pucks that didnt help at all and so the gentleman that gave it to me said to my wife I didnt think it would help after she went to ask for help as well .... I was recovering from a concussion I got a seperate room that looked ok in day light but once lights came on you can see so much dust and one of the remotes had food still on it thank good the other two were compatible even the hairdryers had thick dust on them as I had a couple of beers i wasnt going to go anywhere else or tell my princes fun time is over so i asked for late check out and set an alarm for 10 am i was disappointed to be woken up with their food delivery guy pulled in to their huge parking lot and started rolling back and forth back and forth with the beeping waking people up at 5:25am (are u serious its huge empty lot where he can pull up and leave without backing up an inch) so when I asked for a manager there was not one and the lady said she would have to do....so much for late sleep in. After the tech left game still didnt work. I took pictures of all mentioned things but do not know how to post them here I will maybe try to edit and do so after asking someone more tech savvy. We will never be back because even getting the second room they didnt want to give the price they said they would honor I didnt get to go enjoy that room and its peace until after 11pm because the air hockey table kept malfunctioning and I had to run up and down between 1st and 3rd floors until they were asleep. So if you like a place that is clean like they say they are so covid safe or a place where u can ask for a manager and actually get helped by one this is not the place for you.

Best place ever. Fun for the whole family!!! You can not get bored. Rides, games, trampolines, swimming, food, go carts and more. We will for sure be back. Hotel rooms are pretty cool too.

When you wanna go away but stay home at the same time this is an awesome spot. For all ages.

Comfortable bed. Every thing was showing wear. You can hear everything in the room next door. I order room service, I had to go get the food I ordered. I was told they were very busy. When I walked down, the place was empty. Most of the employees were standing in a group having fun. Highly disappointed.

Great weekend getaway for families. Plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. On weekends there too many kids roaming the halls goofing off and making noise.

My new hubby and I just spent our honeymoon here and the service was great! The room was beautiful and clean, their new online check in/out system made the process fast and easy. Always polite and ready to help with any questions we had, the staff was amazing. Room service was delivered quickly and the food was great. Definitely will be going back again sometime in the future.

The wedding reception facility was beautiful and reception was lots of fun. Food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating especially at the front desk. However, breakfast took almost an hour to be served. Front desk was happy to extend our check out time.

I have twin 5 year old boys. We stayed here one night last week on our way to Minnesota. Me and my family had so much fun, we decided to stay again on our way home. The swimming was great, the food is amazing, we got to do the trampoline park and arcade. My favorite thing about this place is the price. Its very very affordable and I would recommend this to anyone of any age!

I’ve stay there several times over the years and they’re Starting to be too corporate. Prices are getting high and you get the feeling It’s all bout the money. Cant even find comfortable seating while kids play. Well unless you want to pay for it. Rooms are nice little extra cleaning wouldn’t hurt and the beds are stiff as concrete. If you go. Three hours is the limit. So better live close. Think I’ll save the extra money and try wis dells. Again.

Too many problems where to begin. Expensive rooms that were not sanitized properly. I went through rooms wiping high touch areas and you could look at wipe and tell that no wiping was done. After 8 pm everything is shut down. Lots of strange charges on my credit card that I was not told about untill I asked. There was some strange activity in parking lot all night long. Ill continue with my list of grievances later cause I dont have time at the moment to list them all.

Beds were hard so were the pillows. Whirlpool had skrews in between the tiles. Broken lights and the water park was too hot and the water was like bath water. The staff were really great nut thats about all that was recommending.

The bed was comfy. The water park was a huge disappointment for the 2 hour drive to get here. The Action Center and Trampoline Park were our kids favorite. But none of that was included or discounted with being a hotel guest.

Great rates and plenty of activities for the family. Love that waterpark passes are included for the entire day you arrive through the entire day you check out.

We just had a night before my graduation to stay here. Got this on a deal price (blind deal), turned out to be a great decision! It was a seriously awesome place! Got free water park access for both days - kid had a blast, before and after checkout! Room was super clean, king studio was very spacious! Perfect for families, very close to university too!

I liked the Dairy Queen that was built right in the resort. Also the bartenders were very friendly and nice.

Love this place! Stayed one night and had a fantastic time! Waterpark was fun. Lazy river is super good and long. Arcade was amazing, if you get the right package you get unlimited blue swipe games, which is a lot of fun older games but still super cool. Trampoline park is fun for kids, but tiring if youre an adult! GO KARTS super cool. Would definitely recommend coming here if youre in the area! Also a HUGE mall with tons of stores and a big food court nearby!!

Very fun couple of days with the family!! We only played in the waterpark this time but I highly suggest visiting on a weekday if possible. Very small crowd and easy to keep track of the kids.

Fantastic indoor waterpark for families with younger children. Although the rooms do have breakfast included in the price, the onsite cafe has very nice, inexpensive options. The rooms were adequate, although there was a lingering dampness in the room. We visited friends in other rooms and it was there as well. I suppose to be expected in a water park themed hotel?

The locker room suite is very cool. The resort stay was super easy, especially with everything being connected indoors.

We stayed there this past weekend for 1 night (7 hours to be exact). Ridiculously expensive considering we did not do anything but sleep in the bed. We were in town for a wedding and very glad we stayed elsewhere for the remainder of the weekend. Bathroom could use some attention. Cracked floor tiles, needs a good grout cleaning and some caulking and sealing around the tub area. I dont mean to sound nit picky, however; for the amount that is charged, one would think they are staying somewhere really nice. The worst part was the people above our room were super inconsiderate. From 6:30am until we left at 9:30, was nothing but stomping and running back and forth the entire room. We wanted to stay a little longer (to get more of our monies worth) but couldnt take the noise any longer.

Action city and jump park was good for the young kids except a good amount of games did not work. Could update the jump park more got boring after an hour. Water park was a let down. Only 2 water slides and they were underwhelming. Overall just need more updates and things to do.

We stayed in a flat with two queen beds. The room looked like it had recently been remodeled. The carpet was in good shape. The walls were nicely decorated. The wallpaper was peeling on one of the walls but wasnt a big deal. The microwave and fridge were great to have since we generally dont eat out much when we vacation.There was no mold present in the bathroom and everything was clean. The only thing we noticed that other reviews have mentioned is that the bedding, although clean, has some stains on it and should probably just be replaced.We didnt have a lot of interaction with the staff but they seemed nice enough and were able to provide us with what we needed.The water park is in poor shape. There is paint peeling or missing from almost all of the structures. Many of the water jets are either missing, broken, or just dont work. The hot tub is luke warm. The three water slides were all working but the green water slide that is just a steep drop requires about five minutes between each person because it has to fill back up at the bottom which means either there is inadequate water supply or just poor engineering. Those comments aside, the kids loved the water park. The stuff I noticed, they didnt care about.

It was pretty good!! The guy came and fixed our remote so that was very helpful. Also food was very good. I recommend the chocolate chip pancakes from the Pub. However the bed was very hard to sleep on. But the pull-out couch nice. Could have used more blankets though.

Awesome place for an 8 year old and twin 4 year old. Good splash pad. Fast lazy river. We spent a long time on the lily pads. And the two slides were just right for us. Not an intense money pit like the big parks in the Dells. Felt safe and was fun, not necessarily worth the drive from Madison, but still a good time.

Very clean, very nice up to date rooms, great decor, nice size too! Very friendly staff. My 5 and 7 year old loved the water park! Very family friendly. Awesome food as well and reasonably priced. So much to do, highly recommend!!

Missing a Continental breakfast for the money this should be included or at least a mean ticket to pub that is on the lower level

This was a nice comfortable hotel with larger rooms and a little extra classic style artwork themes.This is connected to a water park great for younger kids... 1-14 year olds. Older kids may be looking for more.The other side of the hotel has a trampoline park, arcade, mini golf & go-karts.Lots of great fun and just to the south and east was some amazing trails for walking, hiking, biking, or in the winter x-country skiing, or fat tire biking. We will be back.

A lot of fun activities for kids, a surprisingly attentive young activities team, modern rooms, beds were a little worn out, but overall a good experience for a well used hotel.Ive been asked why 3 stars, beds were worn, sharp edge sticking out of the corner of bed frame, a propane gas smell in the hallway around our room, small cramped entrance, but overall a good hotel for kids to burn off energy, probably would not recommend to a couple looking to relax.

Things need to be updated in the rooms and things need to be fixed. I think the price of the room was over priced for what we got

Surprised our daughters with a trip to Metropolis Resort for one of their birthdays. Stayed two nights, played in the water park (included in price of room) and paid extra for the trampoline park and arcade. Was surprised to see a sneaky resort fee (another $30) during check in that wasnt clearly disclosed when we booked the room online. We even thought that we had paid the cost entirely in order to get a discount online only to be surprised of the fee when we were checking in. Apparently this fee is used for WiFi, towels, daily newspaper, and parking. However, the use of this resort fee is just a sneaky way of charging more for a room. Looks like this fee is illegal in most countries and the Federal Trade Commission is attempting to get legislation in place to make this tricky practice illegal. I would stay at a place that doesnt charge these surprise fees!

The gentleman at the front desk, Gray, have a stellar experience! Helpful with all our questions and quick to help us with our broken tv remote. He did it all with enthusiasm and a smile, which is unlike our normal front desk experience elsewhere!

The place is lots of fun for adults and kids. But the staff are not the most friendly at all the desks.

Upon walking in our room we saw a used tissue and a soda can top. The shower rod was coming out of the wall. Disappointing that when we arrive early for the water park we can’t even get a free locker. Everything was nickel and dimed.

Hotel is a bit dated and doesnt offer free breakfast. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Hotel is pet friendly which is a plus. There are several food options on site. The water park is more geared toward smaller kids. There are 2 slides that are fun. The pool is only a max of 49 deep so there isnt really anywhere to actually swim. The teenagers played on the basketball hoops in the pool for awhile but otherwise got bored at the water park quickly. There was plenty to do at Action City though to keep them entertained for 2 days so much so that they still didnt want to go home after spending most of 2 days there.

The room was way overpriced. Paid in advance months ago, then starting getting more charges on my card days before we checked in. Continued getting more charges until we checked out,( over$70) front desk has no idea why I am getting additional charges. Room was not the cleanest, the waterpark bathroom was absolutely disgusting.

The hotel is super cheap. Fixtures are bargain basement. Construction quality is low, but the place was designed to be destroyed by children and rebuilt. The water park is on the small side, but adequate. The arcade was mostly ticket games and prizes were pretty good, if expensive. Breakfast in the restaurant was not very good. My 8 year old had a ball, and thats what matters. Not sure why theyd put a zip line over the parking lot.Better quality resorts can be found a short distance away.

We had a blast and they were very accommodating. Kids had a blast and will hopefully go back again!
