WAY OVERPRICED for this time of year. Starter has no clue how to send people/groups out. Promotes Slow play!!Course layout is good But not worth the money!!$60 this time of year is outrageous
I love Morgan Hill. The pro, the staff, the course and the location are all the best. Sure, it’s a challenging course. But it’s also fun, rewarding and beautiful. Played a round with my buddy from out of town and they stayed late in order to give us as much time as possible. Above and beyond, which made for a great day despite the fact that I played like I was pooping peach pits all afternoon. Great time, great course and great people. Highly recommend it. In fact, I’m a member. So I put my money where my mouth is.
Great course, its a challenging round of 18 but its a pleasant run. There sceneries are breathtaking.
Course was in fantastic shape for a Fall morning. Staff was pleasant. Enjoyed the conversation and courtesy from the starter. Our lunch after the round was good and reasonably-priced.
So holy cow this place is gorgeous. Great views and well kept. That being said I am a defeated man after playing here. The amount of blind tee shots and the sever elevation change made me questions my entire existence as a golfer. Not that its entirely long, but I had no idea what club to hit ever because one of the holes was farther down than the Mariana Trench. The bunkers are almost as deep, and were a great place to get some shade at 2 in the afternoon. Good shot shape is required everywhere, and if your draw doesnt draw well too bad there goes another pond ball claimed by the void. My blood pressure is still high just remembering it. Im bringing my therapist and 3 clubs I dont mind breaking next time. Cant wait to go back.TL;DR - Amazing course, worth the 2 hour drive. Not for the faint of heart.
Great course. Challenging with the hills. Almost never have a level lie. Youre either hitting off an uphill lie or a downhill lie. But scenic and beautiful. Could have had a bigger selection at the snack bar at the turn.
The people and course are just Great! Need a Ranger out there to speed things up a bit!
Always enjoy a round at Morgan Hill. It is quirky but fun, challenging but fair, and an all around enjoyable course. Pay attention to the yardage book for the best lines bc there are plenty of blind shots.
Beautiful but the night is cool right now
Well.. this is the second time I have play at Morgan Hill. What a difference from the last time.Conditions were terrible. Many burned out fairways or some kind of deasiese. Bunkers need a lot of work. Poor drainage. Weeds, abandoned tee boxes.#2 back tee... gone..Slow play.. that a bad thing. People who cannot play should pickup. The owner needs to look hard at who is running this place as you took a gem and buried it. At least the greens were in good shape except for the poor soles who do not fix ballmarks. Not sure I can spend hard earned money on this again.
One of the best golf experiences I’ve ever had! I was just up here for a business meeting, spending all meeting picking a golf course and I lucked out! Hard course. Carved out of the side of a huge hill gives awesome views and the craziest golf course architecture you’ve ever seen. Nothing like it anywhere. Lynx style with occasional thick treelines. Deep deep soysia grass rough is punishing! Undulations everywhere!!! No even lies. Deep insane bunkers, mix of large and small greens. Deceptive and intimidating off the tee. Hard! Hard! Hard! I love it! Then I got world class looking and tasting food and a seat at the corner of one of the two bars (one outdoors) live band entertainment on a Wednesday?!?! This place is awesome! The distance though....a must if you are near here.
The course was in great shape like always.
Not maintained, and no rangers to regulate pace of play - group of 8 idiots held up pace of play for at least 6-7 groups the whole round.
Beautiful and well maintained course, but there is little bit challenge. Staffs are very very kind. I lost my personal thing and they found it for me and shipped to my office immediately. I live pretty far from here but will go here again for sure!
First time here early September when it already began feeling like fall. First impressions of this course were the staff is friendly. Pulled up to drop clubs off and the starter walked over and brought the bags over for us. It seems to be an ideal place for company outings, we couldnt get a tee time until late morning and even then we did a decent amount of waiting to tee off in between holes. In terms of the course its well maintained, so meticulously and well in fact that there were at least two ground crews associates cutting and blowing leaves on the 10th and 11th holes (nearly got one with my ball). In addition the carts come with a GPS tracking system that shows the course and your distances. The price is a little bit steep but its value is parallel in this challenging but rewarding course.
Amazing little gem. The fairways are gorgeous. Nothing is flat here but thats to be expected. Its on the side of a hill. Greens are a challenge, thats nice to see
Horrible course, all burned up. Poor management, fairways and tees are the worse i’ve seen of any course. Head management needs to be fired
I love this course
First timers. Outdoor seating and view were the reason for our visit. Service was SLOW! At times there were no servers in sight outside but we could see servers standing inside as though they were congregating together. The food was pretty good but hot food came out cold. Cocktails were good but again we had to wait forever. We saw several different tables go inside and get their own drinks so my husband did the same. While we waited for our food, we observed tables being served food but not everyone at those tables (4 people per table, not large parties) were served simultaneously. The band was excellent. We were having a nice time enjoying the music when (what appeared to be a regular) asked if he and his wife could sit at our table and drink listening to the band while we ate. Weird. We had reservations at 7:15. the band started playing a little after 8:00 and we had just finally got severed our food. The entire experience was a mixed bag. We will try eating here again to see if perhaps our first visit was an off night for the kitchen and staff.
Love this place. Whenever I have relatives in town, I now treat them to lunch or dinner at the View. We celebrated my wifes birthday here, perfect! A beautiful place for a sunset dinner on a warm night.
The course was technical and unless you have played here before and know the layout you will be making a lot of blind shots. The staff was ok, not overly friendly. As you play the course there are multiple warnings that you will be prosecuted for trying to get a ball which is on someones property. Almost to the point that you feel threatened. Also warnings that the carts have GPS and if you hit any property they will know and you are responsible for damages. Nothing like a round of golf where you are being berated by warnings the whole time.Maybe they shouldnt have built houses and property so close to the greens and fairways.
Tough course, doesnt give U anything. Better know course management and be above average golfer. Beautiful course, nice scenery, great staff.
What a shame, I have been playing this course for years, it was one of the most challenging best manicured courses in the Lehigh Valley,However my opinion has changed, hole 12 which is a par 3 has 2 sand traps on the green, there r places that the rough is over your ankle, which has made it 10x more difficult for the average golfer, slows the pace of play down when looking for a ball a few feet off the fairway, hole 13 the tee boxes are in the fairway with and up hill tee shot, I am a 10 handicap and have loved the challenge of this course, also play the sister courses Bella Vista, and Mainland, wondering if they are worth the trip this year!
Good views and I good shape but the course doesnt have a flat area on most fairways. Pretty stupid design.
This golf course is fantastic! It is difficult and challenging and is not a casual walk around the park. Today Im a 15.6 handicap and if you dont know what that means, then do yourself a favor and play the forward tees. The layout, with elevation change, guarded greens, fairway bunkers and tree line fairways, requires the ability to shot shape and be accurate. If those arent your things, just play it forward or bring some extra balls. I only managed a 17.3 index on the round and thats because I putted beautifully. The greens are probably the best I have played in PA. Soft, receptive, amazingly accurate to roll the ball on and most important, consistent from hole to hole. The greens alone would make this a 5 star golf course.I love that there is a paved cart path on every hole. The navigation of the course can be tricky with a lot of road crossing and U-turns but the cart paths are painted and the scorecard has a map.Overall there were no drawbacks what so ever. The scenery is amazing with deer crossing my path at holes 2, 3 and 4 just after sunrise so even if you arent the avid golfer and are just picking up your ball sometimes, its a gorgeous course to spend the day at. Just be ready to not post your best round ever and to be challenged by the design and awed by its implementation.
Beautiful landscape
I recently went to The View and ate outside on the deck. The server and host were very friendly, and both knowledgeable on the menu. I had a cocktail, delicious, and the Stuffed Salmon which was amazing! My son had the wings and a burger. He loved it.I took a tour of their new addition downstairs, and its absolutely gorgeous. I love the glass doors all around the room so you can see the view at all times. Id highly recommend The View for any upcoming events!
Gorgeous facility. Employees truly go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect.
I work there!
Golfed here once. Course was well maintained and a fair price.I booked a reservation but had to wait almost an hour after my tee time to be able to play. Since they couldnt meet my reservation time due to poor organization I cant give them 5 stars.
Wonderful place to golfing. Beautiful view golf course~^^~
Beautiful course. Can be very tough. Challenges almost all the clubs in your bag. Had lunch at the restaurant there after. Good food. The greens were inconsistent. Some slow. Some fast. Theres a par 3 with an elevated tee box way above the green. We couldnt decide how the hole truly plays. Maybe a sign next time to help us out. We’re not pros. Other than that i enjoyed the course. May play it another time if im ever in the area again.
Great view from clubhouse. Nice patio with bar.. food nothing special and service slow during my visit. Benefit of the doubt
The course was very hilly. Rarely had a flat surface to hit from. Good shots turned into nightmares. There were few holes where you could not see your ball landing. Between 2 we lost 7 balls. The maintenance of the course was 5 stars. The greens were in great shape. I dont see myself returning.
Gorgeous golf course! Conditions are always exceptional. Only downfall is the amount of blind shots. But probably one of the best in the valley and great facility. The golf carts also have gps that help with the blind shots!
I played it yesterday for the first time and the course was in very good condition. Mountain terrain makes for many blind shots, uneven lies and difficult-to-read greens, but that is the appeal. Strong winds compounded the difficulty in selecting the right club. Spectacular vistas from many holes enhance the experience. Golf and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Food was very good. Strongly recommend a round here.
A very beautiful, challenging course. Staff are wonderful, accommodating and friendly.Evan in pro shop, Dave as starter, and Joyce as our waitress just added to a great golf and dining experience.
Decent course. Its very difficult first time out, as there are a lot of blind shots and difficult hills to deal with. Fortunately the golf carts include GPS which helps immensely. Just be sure to take it slow over the speed bumps on 12!Update: played the courses again and found it to be a middling to poor experience. Quite a few fairways were in poor shape. The starter seemed clueless, just sending people out at random, so we ended up teeing off late. There is ZERO pace of play enforcement. The group in front of us put us 40 minutes behind pace, so we were forced to skip a hole to have any chance at finishing the round. Did not see a course Marshall once. I would not recommend to any golfer to visit this course. Between the pace of play, the absurd difficulty of some holes, and poor conditions, it does not make sense to play. My 3 star review is generous.
I officiated a wedding there, really nice venue. Staff is top notch, food delectable!
Fantastic course! Definitely will play again!
Golf courses complain they have no business but when you charge full price for arated greens you get what you deserve. They could have told us and it would not have been an issue . Very poor customer service.
I get its still the offseason, but is it normal for there to be feces literally all over the course? And please tell BBQ Becky with the Golden Retriever to chill out and leave the golfers alone.
Not sure why my original showed 4 stars. Morgan Hill is a 5 star course. Tough, fun and affordable.
Played last week. I have played at the course since it was opened. Course was not in its usual shape. Many fairways had brown spots like a fungus had hit them. Some temporary tee boxes set up, not too much of an issue but it would have been nice to know before starting the round. Hopefully these issues will be addressed and corrected for the future since I do like the course.
Great local course. Challenging as it is laid out alongside a mountain. Will return!
The golfing was awesome. Some of the neatest views and a bit of pretty challenging tee shots. Very entertaining course. 4 stars because the greens and Fairways arent nearly as well maintained as Mainland golf course. Some pretty junky greens and Fairways here and there. Hopefully that part is better next time.
Course is fun but conditions are not great. Greens have always been poor every time Ive played here. Ive played nicer greens for half the price. It seems that all the money goes into everything but the course
Service was horrible and the so called BAR Manager was just as bad. With easton having so many choices do your self and your guests a favor and go spend your time and money somewhere else. It will be your best choice of the night.
Ok scenery, great design. Large greens with lots of slope. Huge elevation changes requires accurate tee shots. I would not recommend this course if never played before or on a vacation. Not for the average golfer, the elevation changes are crazy.
The course is in excellent condition, but too difficult for an average golfer. I think this course was designed for a younger more savvy golfer. I would describe this course as mountain golf at its best, more like the ski slopes that I would ski when I was younger.
Played this course for $26, It was the ultimate bargain. Beautiful course excellent fairways so I guess the greens being not perfect condition can be overlooked. Lunch at the clubhouse after was delicious.
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Course leaves alot to be desired. Temporary tees and poorly manicured bunkers, very disappointing for a course of this caliber. However, great views and nice hole layouts, challenging for sure.
Beautiful course that is not too bad on the wallet. Very difficult so make sure you play the right tees. Really challenging, but fun layout and the course offers some spectacular views. Really fun to play!!
Very challenging course and very well kept course. Was a blast to play.
Beautiful views. Was there for Sunday brunch and the selection was average. Mostly lunch type offerings, there was bacon, sausage, hash browns, then the ribs, chicken, prime rib. I asked about egg options and she told me I could have any type of omelette or scrambled eggs. So I ordered a mushroom and cheddar omlett. It was oaky. Average food, great views.
I love this course. Ive played it about 10 times. There are holes where the elevation change is a lot more than 100 feet. There is nary a level spot in the fairways. Some players may consider a layup short of trouble. Most shots are blind. Sand traps are like caves. The new GPS on the carts are the best, and a very nice addition. You can see 10 miles or more from many places. Delaware Water Gap is viewable about 20+ miles away. The ball tends to break towards the river, even on seemingly uphill puts. This course competes very well with Architects, NJ, Neshamic Valley, NJ and Lederach, PA. For $50 it is a steal. It is worth the 1 hour drive to get there. The people who work there know golf. All including the stunning cart girl. Great place!
This past Saturday I had a birthday party for my husband at Morgan Hill. Unfortunately, because of the two event planners, Liz and Joey, I will never hold another party there. They were unorganized and forgot a lot of simple details, like......appetizers, the kids meals, the candle decorations. A few days prior to the party I stopped in to review the menu and the set up. Joey actually told me not to worry because he would take care of everything and actually be there the day of the event. Right. All I have to say is thank goodness for Nick, who was terrific and basically saved the day. He worked hard, was professional, and fixed everything his two coworkers messed up. Id book a party through him any day.It also says a lot when after the party you send an email and leave a phone message saying that you want to talk about your experience and you dont get an email or a call back. Good work Liz.Thank you Nick, the Chef, and the hard working waiters and waitresses.
The view really is an appropriate monicre for this place. Eating outside provides an absolutely sublime view of the surrounding area, and really sets up a great ambiance for diner. The food was very good, and the service was also exceptional. All in all, I would give 6 stars if I could, definitely highly recommended!!
Food is very good, management doesnt treat their servers well
Fantastic shape. Be prepared to ride a rollercoaster on some of these greens but the well-placed shot is very much rewarded. Gold tees for seniors are very fair in length. Restaurant food very good but disappointed that they stopped serving beer in pitchers.
Great course, really hilly so hopefully you hit the ball straighter than I do.
Difficult course always on good shape
Really challenging course. Good luck finding your ball of you cant hit the tight fairways.
Slowest greens Ive ever played and pace of play is not much better than worst ever.Clearly they dont have the budget to maintain the course as it was intended. All the roughs are 3-4 inches high and the contours are all burnt to a crisp. The 13th hole tee boxes are gone and you have to play from the fairway?!?!?!
A great golf course I truly enjoyed my round of golf I will definitely return
Course is excellent. Some greens have a bit of a spot mold. Clubhouse/ restaurant are exceptional.
Course is in amazing condition. First time playing it on a golf now special and for the rate the course charges, they are cheaper than other courses in the area. This course gives you the most bang for your buck. The staff is extremely pleasant, the course is very challenging, and long depending how you attack it. Our GPS was broken in our cart, but the course has areas to aim at, that will give you a better second shot with the ball level with your stance. Many players that are power hitters want to just grip it and rip it. I dont have length with my driver but I do have excellent control with my 3 wood and hybrids / irons. I was able to land in spots that reduced having approach shots with the ball above or below my feet. It happened, but not as much as my playing partners. The greens are extremely fast in the morning and they play mind games with you as the day goes on. I ended up putting too short or through the break. But my poor putting contributes to that as well. The pin placements are great too. Some courses put them at the minimum distance from the fringe to make a course more challenging, but not here, at least during my round. They are in tough positions but still give you a chance to knock it close.Three things I would like to see improved on at the course.1) The sand traps are barren and should be filled in. Otherwise treat your shot like a short pitch, but with rocks to ding your clubs.2) Pace of play was agonizingly slow. A 7:30am tee time should not lead to a 1pm finish. People in front played very very slow. Sometimes just cut your losses when you lose a ball and move on. A Marshall should be out on the course keeping up the pace of play.3) Oh make a some nice directional signs instead of spray painting hole #10 this way, etc. on the cart paths. Minor, but yet would add that final touch to this course.I cannot wait to get out on that course again. The restaurant is outstanding, but I will leave that as another review as this one was strictly limited to the golf course itself.
Golf Course and restaurant staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The course was in pretty good shape considering its early season and winter was pretty rough.
Beautiful venue with a breath taking view of the Lehigh Valley. Facilities and staff at a recent wedding reception were excellent.
Food is outstanding. Atmosphere is wonderful. Outdoor seating is a must!
Great golf course, food in the View was excellent. The staff was friendly and accomodating
Spectacular view and nice atmosphere. I wish the menu had more variety.
Beautiful course but very challenging.
Its quite wonderful at the restaurant on top of the mountain. I absolutely love eating at this restaurant!
Beautiful view! Food not bad either.
Well maintained, great views, reasonable greens fees, open to the public, senior rates.
Nice layout and course in great condition. Green was a little slower than expected.
The restaurant there I think it was called Vintage good, a bit pricey but over all a very nice experience....the course looks very nice
Worked here at this place for a while was fired in september of 2012 for a broken item that was done on a shift before mine but because i didnt report it due to a brunch ruch i was fired from the job . The manager there were mean and very disrespectful . I would jump at the chance to work extra shifts and still nothing the owner owns another place 3rd and ferry and i have to pass it on my way to class . I hate how they fired me the jerk of a manager even walked me out and watched me leave to make sure i didnt cause any trouble he never did it to no one eles dont work here
Golf course with best entertainment
Great public course!!
Great meal, good time
Fabulous hard course.
After playing at Morgan Hill on aerated greens Even the pro contacted me and apologized for no one telling me greens were aerated and I would day this is excellent customer service and cannot wait to go back and play this course again
Good course. Some holes a little tricked out.
Need to mow grass to hard for amateur golfers the roughs were longer than US open
Really beautiful restaurant and deck overlooking course
Many of the greens were in poor shape. Not an even lie on the entire course. Other than the views, I dont like this place
Great view and great food.
Tough course with great views!
Decent golf course for the money.
Good food
Good food
Thanks
Challenging.
