We recently purchased a picture frame and the hook was defective; it loosened and the frame crashed to the ground. I called the store & the manager was very kind & understanding. Not only did she replace the frame, she attached some new heavy duty hooks to the back so I wouldn’t have the same problem happen again. Excellent customer service.- Sarah P.

Awesome sales right now, always coupons to find also.

This a great place for all craft makers.

Nice, clean, good deals. Very nice employees

Great selection and great prices. Check for the yearly sales!

The store is ok, but we just had a big storm here and I was wondering if the store was open. I called and pressed 3 to be connected with a team member. When I got connected, a lady answered the phone and immediately said bye in a creepy voice. Quite strange if you ask me.

Fair prices, good selection, friendly staff

It was really nice, clean, easy to find things.

Beautiful floral choices. Also has 2 birthday parties here. Kids love it and so do I. No cleanup or mess at home.

Great place to go for craft items

Still open during a global pandemic! SHAME ON YOU, MICHAELS. Close your store and let your employees stay home. You really want to be known as the company who has someone die working for you, or a customer, because you couldnt handle not selling yarn and paint for a few months. Shame, shame, shame. I hope people take notice. This is a disgrace.

Helpful staff and good prices

This Michaels is good. The staff is polite and helpful and you always get what you are looking for. However, I never shop at Michaels without coupons. Why not save when u can.:)

Ridiculously expensive. One single mask for a child was $8! Probably why the price wasnt on the display.

Michaels? Really?!? HOW is this place still in business?? Wherever there’s a Michaels, there’s usually a Joann nearby. Joann offers everything offered at Michaels plus SO much more, like FABRIC!

I Love Michaels store. Its a great store to decorate the house and host parties at your home. Great crafts to do for adults and children! Go check it out

I escape there alot to get ideas or just shop organizing tools

Great store just hard to find an employee when you need help.

Robin was very helpful with my picture frames.

Easy to spend a lot. The staff is very helpful. And they have everything a crafter needs or wants.

Great craft store, always clean and organized, can hit some great sales and clearance stuff if you time it right. Has pretty much everything except fabric/sewing stuff. (For that try Joanns)

Love this store, always find a deal. They offer a 40% off one item, everytime you go. The staff is always polite and ready to help. Go as often as I can.

Good breakfast, service was great . They serve real maple syrup which is always a good thing .

They have EVERYTHING!! Watch for their sales they are good! They are not great with coupons tho they dont even honor their own never mind competitors as they say they will. I just watch for sales or buy online.

The guy before me was buying 3 feet tall leprechaun statues and if you cant find it theyll help you find it. 2 thumbs up!

My kids love to come and spent time looking for new ideas. But I think I love it more

Michaels have lots of the seasonal items on display before each season starts every year their hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 10am-7pm. The Michaels is formerly Ames in East Hartford.

Always satisfied with my purchases.

Whatever Im looking for, from earring backs to art supplies to T-shirts, I always seem to find it here... at a great price!

Always love to go to Michaels to shop!

So many options & ideas! Great coupons!

Too expensive

Its a chain... so I imagine most Michaels are similar. Great craft store with weekend craft activities for the kids.

Went this morning after the stay in started on phase one! It felt so good to get out!!!!!!

Great store for hobby arts and crafts with a good framing department for the cost

Live the variety... And they are good with coupons!!!

Michaels is a very good craft store. Prices are right and sales are very good bargains!

I just wanted christmas lights, of which they had a good variety, but it looks like they have every crafting supply one could possibly dream of.

Nice, but didnt have anything I needed. Must be the holidays

My experience with Michaels framing at the East Hartford store has been one of severe frustration. If you actually have a painting that needs care, this is not the place to have it framed. I took two of my pastel paintings to get framed. The store manager had to help me since there was little help available. She was constantly interrupted by messages and had to leave me to help others. My painting was actually a 9x12 standard and it still was messed up. They even covered my signature and I had to buy chalk at the store to re-sign.The mat looked like masking tape. I realize now I could have just bought a standard frame. Awful. Michaels said they would reframe it and get it right. A month has passed. Ive tried to call and all I get is muzac and the phone hangs up. Finally, I got the manager and he switched me to framing. The woman stated she had sent out for the right measurements and that they had to resend it. How complicated can this be? Further, when I realized they dont it themselves, I was disheartened. She then offered to just give me back the painting. I told her to please finish the job! She wanted to spray it with fixative and I told her I dont do this. Can you put in a spacer so pastel dust doesnt leak? Isnt this why I took it to the pros? She acted like this was too complicated for her. Huh? How many times have I gone to Jerrys Artarama where this is no problem? She told me she would call me the next day. Two weeks later, I have heard nothing! Geez, Michaels if you are going to offer framing, do it right! This has been a very frustrating experience and all I want is my framed standard size painting back!

You can find anything you might possibly need to do artwork from painting supplies they have everything you could possibly need
