Always a pleasure to experience the artistry + brilliance of Josh Gladstone in his choice of mind-bending programming at GH. John Drew Theater is a world class venue for forward-thinking performances that always surprise. If Kate Mueth is in the house, run straight to the box office and grab a front seat foe her brilliance! Beautiful grounds, professional facilitates, a treat in the country!

While we New Yorkers are fortunate to call Broadway ours, Hamptonites are graced to have several fine theatre venues east of the canal. Guild Hall, located in East Hampton, offers an intimate setting for great theatre, art shows, lectures and more. It is very much a part of the community fabric. One performance we attended left here and headed right to Broadway. And because the theatre is intimate, we were thrilled to note the many directors, producers and actors sitting in the audience who also came to enjoy a night out and see their friends and favorites perform. I had to sit on my hands to keep myself from autograph begging as they too deserve a night out with family unencumbered by fans. Look ahead at the calendar for your favorite show, music artist or performer. Make a reservation, or you may miss it. Enjoy the night and look to your audience as you too could be seated next to Alec Baldwin, Blythe Danner or Marlo Thomas just to name a few I saw. Just so fun!

Extra tickets were at the box office, but the director asked that they not be sold to about ten people waiting. However, she generously invited us to sit in an overflow room and watch the proceedings on a screen. The room was comfortable and the air was mold free. Perhaps the decision to keep the unclaimed tickets stemmed from the people sparring to get these tickets, or maybe to hold the unclaimed tickets for late comers. It all worked out. Smart guests on stage, both well versed in constitutional law. The topic was Trump and the constitution, moderated by the intelligent host, Alec Baldwin. I like discussions about our constitution, especially legal scholars. Staff were pleasant. Definitely want to return.

Interesting performances are offered thought the year however their Air-Conditioning System, if you can call it that is marginal at best. The ushers who are at the doors prior to the events act more like BOUNCERS for a rowdy bar. Definitely NOT befitting the Hamptons Life Style

Very nice town theatre. A very friendly environment. We saw a hilarious show here. Disappointing attendance; the venue and show deserved much better.

Who would believe a loyal New Yorker is in love with Guild Hall in East Hampton. The programs, the performances by renowned actors, the art exhibits by local known and unknown artists are outstanding. Inaddition, the lecture series, plays, movies, garden events, famous chef interviews, kids programs and annual political expert discussions are first class. There are outstanding programs throughout the year in this family oriented culture haven.Being a member of the museum adds to the fun, then, everybody knows your name.Diane Sabesin TepperMontauk and Manhattan
