We live within walking distance of this park, and visit it frequently. The playground is pretty large with three separate play units, swings, diggers, and a few other things. The walking paths are nice, and circle the lake. Very shaded so you dont get to hot in the summer. There are also a few areas to go fishing.

Cool Place! Could use more paved trails and fishing is hard. But it is remote and good for large gatherings.

The trails here are fantastic in the fall and the fishing piers could use more summer attention from fishermen

Great for kids to play, walk, bike, or run around. The lake is calm and secluded. Its a fun morning or afternoon activity in Eagan.

Beautiful Park. Nice bridge over the water. Very nice pavilion and Eagan maintenance does a beautiful job of maintaining it. Theres also a place to go fishing also with a canoe ramp if you have your own canoe. There is also ample parking and its free. It is also a nice place to do a short cross country ski run in the winter time and is level enough for us beginners with only slight slope. We are very blessed in Eagan with our numerous, beautiful parks!

Beautiful park, very nice pavilion, the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because even though you pay to rent the pavilion($200) the bathroom thats attached to the pavilion is for your party & the general public to share, so its a little weird to be in the middle of your party while strangers come into your party space to use the restrooms.

It was clean and a beautiful wedding was being held. I got a picture of the bride with her permission, just gorgeous but I didnt ask if I could post it publicly, sorry but believe me she was gorgeous!

I love coming here for small walks with my puppy. This is a great park!

Just found this playground while out and about. Huge playground. A bit of a walk from the parking lot, but that means it is less risky for kids in parking lots.

This is a beautiful and well maintained regional Park. The mix of mud and tar road trail is very scenic and serene to walk, jog or bike around.You can also go fishing here. You need to find how you get the fishing license.The entry to this park is free. There is plenty of parking available and free. You can also rent out the Black hawk pavilion for parties. The pavilion is big and can accommodate more than 100 people ..there is also a fire pit attached to this pavilion and a barbq grill ..There is a volleyball court over here and also children play area.

Actually was there to go fishing, but the lake had a lot of alge so I didnt stay long, the walking path was good, and the scenery was great

Large open field. No actual picnic grill unless youre renting the shelter. Otherwise very beauty park with walking trails and bike paths! Fishing is fair during the summer time - lots of vegetation.

Decent park. It has small rocks instead of sand which means less mess to bring home. My five year old liked it. We are doing a park adventure this year. A different park each weekend. This one ranks near the top, but is not the best.

Graduation Reception!We recently hosted a graduation reception here and will do it again for our next graduate. The pavilion is large, well kept and has a functioning kitchen with oven and refrigerator. The bathrooms are well kept and stocked for your rental. Park staff handle the garbage also during your rental time and supply firewood if you choose to have a bonfire. Beautiful park and area including a sand volleyball court and playground.We have used this park for recreation for years. Great playground, walking paths around the lake and an area to launch canoes and kayaks. Beautiful views.

Lovely setting with a mix of trees, lake, paved trails, coverd picnic area and play equipment. This was an early spring visit so building wasnt open and trail was flooded but will return!

Blackhawk Lake Park is a beautiful outdoor place. You can rent the large pavilion which features its own kitchen, restrooms, and outdoor sheltered eating area for your guests. There is a childrens playground and a sand volleyball court. The best feature is the lake, which provides some of the best photography.

Great park! City truck was there twice during our visit maintaining or servicing. Large play area with walk up ramp for adults. Volleyball area, paved walkways, large pavilion, nice modern bathrooms, drinking fountain, fishing piers and water access for smaller boats or kayaks. A Very scenic, clean park.

One of the best parks in Eagan. Ample parking. Very large covered shelter. Nice walking path around the lake. Cool jungle gym for kids. Large, open play area and volleyball court. The only negative is the lack of shade outside of the shelter.

A wonderful local park with a decent walking path. It has some highway noise from 35E that borders it on the eastern edge of the trail. It is a relatively peaceful ~2 mile walk that is especially nice in the fall.

They really need to clean the lake. Is so full of algae. In places it looks like huge oil deposits bubbling out of the lake.

This is one of our favorite parks. We have 2 young kids and there is tons of stuff to do. Great playground. Blackhawk lake has a nice trail around it.

Nice place to to walk and ride bike but the lake near by isnt good to hangout but there is a wooden bridge to cross the lake where we have much good place inside woods

If youre looking for a park that is suitable for kids, stop looking and head here. Their playground is very kid friendly. Also lots of wide open spaces to play football, Frisbee or something. Head down the path to the dock and see if you can spot some turtles and fish.

Nice park with a good playground and nice facilities. Feels more remote than it is, so its a bit of a sanctuary.

Its really close to my house. & my dogs love walking around the pond. & recently remodeled the playground and now its up to ADA complace. And its now easier for wheelchairs. And so its wheelchair friendy.

Very beautiful park. You can reserve the canopy for an event. Has a playground. A volleball net and a bon fire pit. You can walk around the lake, a nice walk, makes you feel away from home. Beautiful fall colors.

Good playground equipment, skating rinks, tennis courts, and lots of open space to run around and play in. Only thing its missing is a good hill for sledding.

We had a lovely evening and facilities are nice, but had 2 of our cars broken into shattering the glass of the Windows. We had a purse stolen and other boxed equipment stolen from the other car. Leave NOTHING visiblein your locked vehicle, it wasnt even dark when this happened.
