Valley Springs is very large, and very well maintained park. The picnic shelter is right next to the playground. The shelter is wheelchair accessible, but its a long ramp.
Nice shaded walk in the woods. Tight courses with lots of trees to knock the disc back on course when you mis-throw and no water to lose them in and hills so the poor throws go further as it rolls down.
Short, well-maintained, tightly-organized course. Holes seem to get slightly yet progressively longer as you play. Most are dead straight or very slight doglegs. Very well marked and good mix of terrain. Entire course is 100% woodland.
Disc golf course was fun, missing a couple holes on the course though
Great park with nice fields. Quaint older disc golf course is really fun.
This park has a great disc golf course and my rating is based mainly on that feature. Its a nice scenic course with hills and trees, but thankfully not set up to be over-the-top challenging like some where youre afraid youll lose your disc on every hole. Different starting tees make it good for different level players to play. I love that the course was clearly marked and easy to follow be too.
Nice conversational course, relatively short holes but a little challenging.
Great disc golf course
Its a great athletic park. Ive been playing disc golf there for about a decade, which is the only reason I go to Valley Springs.
20-hole frisbee golf course is challenging because it is almost entirely forested. Under brush is relatively clear, making it not too likely to lose a disc. Lots of up and down hill hiking to get from basket to basket!
Such a fun place, great disc golf course
Played disc golf. Two holes are closed (12 & 13) and it takes a good walk to get around them. Lots of construction traffic and noise. Normally an outstanding course, though.
Valley Springs park has a little bit of everything. Theres a 22 hole disc golf course with rotating pin locations. Its lovingly maintained and one of the best in the area. There are also multiple baseball fields and a soccer field too. Right as you enter the park is a playground for the kiddos.
Its a great park with ball fields, disc golf, and playgrounds. I only go there to play disc golf. The course is extremely well marked with tee signs, and directions. It has a great mix of long and short holes. Each hole has at least two tee pads. Some holes have 3 tee pads and some have multiple baskets. Overall a great, fun course that is open for all skill levels and complexity.
Well maintained course.
Love the sprawling disc golf course but be aware that it is long (22) holes and hilly so come prepared for a workout. Fix the last hole (no clear path) and youll win 5 stars from me.
Good quality grass soccer field, baseball fields, and disc golf corse with small playground and pavilion with grill
Nice place! Played disc golf, and the course is pretty much entirely shaded from the woods.
Great place to bring your dog and walk down the Frisbee Golf trail.
Cute little playground in pretty good repair. Mostly lots of playing fields though.
I go here for the disc golf course. Great woods course with three tees on every hole. Original white tees set the standard for a classic woods course. The Blues are a very challenging pro setup, and the Reds make for a fun little two-or-die round. Original 18 plus 4 additional holes (only white and blue pads).
Really well taken care of soccer field.
Best disc golf course in the area!!
Great disc golf course!!
Huge field with a childrens playground near and picnic area nearby. There are new developments going up around it as well! Quiet area and believe they have another field on the other side of the parking lot!
My favorite park to visit. Has well maintained playground, soccer fields, and multiple baseball diamonds. Personally, my very favorite attraction is the disc golf course- its challenging but a lot of fun.
Nice disc golf course with 3 tee pads on first 18, and extra holes. Great exercise due to lots of elevation changes. Durham Parks does a great job! Fun!
More of a softball field park the fields look awesome!!! Shelter has nice metal picnic tables. Not much for kids to do or walking trails.
Great disc golf course
Fun disc golf course!
Quiet, clean, and great place for kids to make new friends!
This park has the perfect soccer field. Glad that DPR uses it for the Saturday games. Its a little farther out, but you feel safe and know that if people are there, they are there for the soccer games.
Great park to stretch your legs and get some exercise.
Nothing special, a bit worn, dangerous at times due to the tightness of the course. Be very aware of the people around you... Everyone may not be playing as safe as youd hope.
Great for walking and playing baseball/soccer!
Great
Concrete pads are small. Needs better direction on path to next Tees. Baskets blend in and hard to see from a distance. The 22 holes and options of red, white, and blue tees makes it a course with options for all levels of experience.
Very nice park, soccer fields, baseball, playground, frisbee course in woods, nice walking sidewalk and are. Parking is good too.
Well maintained and challenging course
Well kept up park. Fun and challenging disc golf course.
Decent DG course. If you like trees, this is the course for you.
Great disc golf course
Great disc golf course!
Its a great part 4 Trails frisbee golf hiking baseball soccer and Jungle Jims
Good park
Great residential park!!
Great park, several fields. Disc Golf course is great! Especially the four more
Tee pads are narrow and too short by several feet, short enough to be unusable, but as they are the only cleared space they are simply in the way. Pins are most often not visible from the tees, though I have to admit I can only say this is true for the first seven holes because thats all I tried to play.At other disc golf courses I have played terrain is a course feature which has been designed into the hole play. At this course the terrain is the course. This course was simply hacked through the trees. I I do not wish to be harsh but I see no evidence of course design. The pictures of the hole layout at each tee are essentially meaningless. I never found pin number 7.I cannot imagine how anyone would rate this course highly having played other courses. I would hate for newcomers to play this course and think this is what disc golf is.
The disc golf course sells it for me, personally. The extra four holes were an incredible surprise for me when I played there a while ago.
Nice park.
Beautiful, pristine disc golf course. Layouts for novices as well as pros.
Really fun, challenging course in the woods with great markings/maps to guide you.
Excellent Frisbee Golf course. Perfect for a fun afternoon with friends!
Fantastic park and my little one loves to go there
