Id normally give this place five stars, but there was too many skaters with poor skate park etiquette today.

Durham Skate Park is a regularly visited location for my 13 year old son. He can spend hours at a time there, learning new tricks, meeting new skaters, and just hanging out. Its a nice, family friendly atmosphere. The older teens and adults are always kind to younger kids, like my son. I typically read while he skates, but the farmers market and food truck rodeos are sometimes going on close by, so its a great location that offers something for everyone. Also, its located directly across from the police depot, so Ive never seen any signs of shady activity, which brings me great comfort as a parent.

We were just out for a stroll and became sightseers at the park. During this unprecedented time of division, it was neat seeing the park being enjoyed by mixes of ages and races.

This park has terrible flow and a bowl that Ive yet to hear anyone day anything good about. If Youre in town and looking fora place to ride for the day them itll suit you. Other than that Its easily burned out on and lacks flow. Although.. Its better than nothing, given the area, they couldve done a lot more.

The flow could be better, but its got plenty for beginner and advanced skaters. The people here are always very friendly and polite. When its nice out this place gets PACKED.

My hometown local, plenty of ledges banks and stair sets...could use a upgrade to add more straight grind ledges and fill in non needed areas of grass in between areas of the skatepark..most out of town patrons enjoy more than the locals...has good potential.

Really an amazing park. Im glad its here in Durham. It is quite aggressive and difficult. It doesnt have much to offer for a beginner skater. Start off on your block at home. Then try dukes campus. And then hit this park.

A fun park that gets lots of activity on nice days. It has lots of good ramps and places to do tricks on a skateboard or bike. It is really close to the farmers market.

Itd be great if people stop bringing their lil kids here like there isnt one directly down the hill in plain sight.Our park is a bit rough but she gets the job done :) come out and skate us locals are nice

Its smaller than I thought itd be but I has a lot of nice ramps to skate off of. Its very clean and its not that crowded.

Good for about 30 minutes, but after that it gets very dull. This place has no flow. You will be off your board more than on it. not good for lines.

Good skatepark, it is not perfect but it is pretty good. Met some new people, but their is always a bunch of jerks who get angry and mad at people because they fail on something. Pretty good overall.

I did a boardslide on long rail by the park entrance on my birthday, Probably about the last two feet. Thats hard! Its pretty high, Id like to see you do that. Later I rolled my ankle doing a rock to fakie.

The park is nice but some people can be a little shady. But they are nice the obstacles are cool and to top it of board paradise is so close recommend going there be careful with the people they dont care about hitting you

Great park for more experienced riders and skaters but not too beginner friendly but still not so bad for beginners and gets crowded early on the weekends

The Durham skatepark is not a place for beginner/inexperienced skateboarders, YOUNG CHILDREN,or bmx riders.....overall everyone there is welcoming, friendly and accepting!
