My husband and I have been coming here, on and off, for years. I am updated this review after meeting the new owners who have been running O-Bar-O for 3 years now. They have done a wonderful job at keeping the place sparkling clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Thank you, Herb & Natalie, for your hospitality! This place is a gem.

If youre looking for a serene, well-appointed cabin in a beautiful spot, come to the O-Bar-O. The owners (Herb and Natalie) provide true hospitality and made us feel very welcome. The beds and linens are especially nice, and in these strange COVID times, the meticulously cleaned cabins are much appreciated. The kitchens are nicely stocked with the tools youll need for cooking, including somewhat esoteric items such as a garlic press. And the grounds are well maintained with comfortable chairs waiting for you on the banks of the Florida River.

Serene, relaxing, beautiful and so much more than what youd expect a cabin to be!

My husband and I stayed for a full week in early August. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had. The owners were so friendly as well as the other guest. We are going back soon. Next time we are going during the winter months. I cannot wait. We loved every minute of it.

This cabin getaway did not disappoint! The owners are incredible, the cabins are spacious and extremely clean. You can hear the sounds of river from any cabin. We have already referred family and friends to this amazing location. If youre looking for a laid back, comfortable, home away from home feel, this cabin is for you! Just had a great time at this amazing rental cabin property. Owners are really nice and it is very apparent they strive to meet the needs of excellence! Cabin was spotless- no dirt and not musty at all. High quality cabin and the goodies/supplies they give to their customers....top notch!! The grounds are very very clean. The owners definitely know how humans really love their dogs and have a wonderful dog run/park area. They even had clean bowls out for each dog ready for them in the cabin....didnt need to bring the bowls from home. The river is less than a minute from the back deck was very cool to listen to and watch. Ultimately- a Top Notch Cabin rental company, run by two very professional and expert owners.

My boyfriend, my dog and I spent three nights at the O-Bar-O in in early August, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Herb, Natalie and their staff make sure that every detail is spot-on. They are so kind and welcoming. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. I requested a few add-on’s (charcuterie tray, S’mores, and grill package) and they were beautifully prepped and presented. We really felt spoiled, and Louie had a great time in the river. The heart of this place really comes through...they love what they do. Returning in 2021 for a longer stay!

The people that own the cabins were so down to earth super nice. The cabin itself was amazing!! Everything about it was great! We only stayed 2 days there but next time I would love to stay a whole week. It would be worth every penny. Its not far from town to get anything you may have forgot from home. I would highly recommend this place. I was so sad to leave to come back to Illinois.

This is the most Beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Durango. The views and sounds from the patio are amazing! We didnt want to leave.

We love this place! 11 years in a row and will return in 2018. The cabin we stay in is beautiful, the river is gorgeous that we can hear from the cabin. Mike and Maria are the best hosts we have ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone...you will not be disappointed!

We had a super time at O-Bar-O! Family friendly, and so beautiful. The Florida River running right near the cabin, a hot tub, fire pit, and the hospitality from Herb, Natalie and Pearl were all unbeatable. This was our first time to visit, and it certainly won’t be our last.

Perfect! Just what we were looking for..an escape to solitude. Well appointed cabins with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Wonderful hosts who are accommodating and genuinely nice people. Close to town, fishing and the activities around Durango. The beds are comfortable with amazing sheets, the bathrooms are clean and modern, the kitchen has every item needed for cooking a great meal and the onsite amenities (from a hot tub to fire pit to beautiful flowing creek) were the perfect combination. Dog friendly means accommodating (they had a welcome kit for him! ) but not intrusive on others who are staying at the resort... the location suits animal lovers and those without, with a nice balance. We just cannot say enough about this wonderful getaway... thank you for a special escape!

Beautiful place to relax. Owners love the property and it shows. Fall asleep to the river sounds right out your back deck!

This is the greatest Cabin Resort Ive ever been to, right on the river, lots of places to sit around the property, the cabin is gorgeous and clean yet still rustic and woodsy. Perfect for my much-needed getaway. Seven days in heaven, its going to be hard to leave.

Great cabins on the Florida River! My wife and I loved everything about this place. Well-kept cabins, beautiful scenery, and everything you need for a perfect stay is provided for you. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating, and the delicious cookies at check-in were a nice touch. They even let us borrow a kennel for our pup while we took the ride out to Mesa Verde! They have a fire pit and hot tub for the guests to use, and cooking steaks on our private BBQ in the backyard next to the river felt like being at home. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again next time we are in the Durango area!

The staff is amazing. We stayed in the ponderosa cabin, and it was awesome. Right off the river. Were planning a family reunion here for next year. If you get the chance to visit Durango, you should absolutely stay here.
