So thankful to see changes in society wrestling with painful and shameful past. The memorial is beautiful, detailed, and thought provoking. Its a must-see especially for Duluth residents, but also for anyone visiting the area.

Wow, they want people to rate this location. The instance that caused this memorial to be created is, I dont know, wrong. It is a great reminder of mans crimes against their fellow man, and how not to react to allegations. I hope people who visit realize the injustice and mob stupidity that occurred that day.

An important reality of history.Of a tragic event. People can learn from wrongful mistakes made by society. And try to never repeat the same mistakes. Hatred, racism, discrimination, against sex, color,or sexual orientation. Any type of discrimination or racism. Has no place in a healthy and prosperous society.

Beautiful experience and amazing that there is a memorial to show the injustices of that time. Another sad realization is that this memorial is located in a poor area that is predominately black whereas the Inn on Superior (our hotel) was right across the bridge and much nicer. There are many memorable quotes as well that are relatable to everyone and causes you to realize how minuscule a grudge you may have could be..
