WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN! SERVICE ITS REALLY BAD! 5 TABLES/GROUPS OF PEOPLE CAME IN AFTER US AND WERE ATTENDED RIGHT AWAY. WE WERE WAITING FOR 30 MINUTES TO GET SERVE, NOT EVEN WATER WE WERE OFFERED.. I HAD TO STOP THE MANAGER AND EXPLAIN TO HIM THE WHOLE SITUATION.. AS A MANAGER I WAS EXPECTING AT LEAST AN APOLOGY BUT, HE WASNT EVEN PROFESSIONAL HIMSELF! TO TOP IT OFF AFTER WE GOT OUR WAITRESS SHE WAS EVEN RUDE! SPECIALLY ON THAT DATE FEBRUARY 14TH YOU EXPECT FOR EVERY RESTAURANT TO TREAT YOU THE BEST OF THE BEST SPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A RESERVATION BUT, APPARENTLY THIS PLACE WASNT ONE OF THEM! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AT ALL UNLESS YOU LIKE REALLY BAD SERVICE AND LIKE TO BE WAITING FOR HOURS TO BE ATTENDED.. I GIVE IT A NEGATIVE 10! DONT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!

Visiting to this restaurant saved me tons of money. I love that they offer affordable menu. I also enjoy the drinks alongside with your order. I will seriously come back for more!

The place is not so big but is nice. I liked the latin music they play there and the food is delicious..! I would totally back there..!!!

Recently remolded or sold to an inexperienced new owners (that reined what was a successful club) . What a loss! this was one of my favorite places but I went there last week, I was GREATLY disappointed. What the heck is this fence that cover the dancing floor??!! Really bad, it hides the entertainment area. Extremely high pitch bad speakers, Bad music selection, Bad DJ, No more life band, No more Salsa music, No more couples dancing only few girls. Bad new Both seats ugly colors. I left in 10 minutes and had to cancel my dinner order. I wonder why would they do that!? Bad taste no experience, it became an ugly club...so sad.

We came for the grand opening, New Years and this weekend. We have not only enjoyed the music and the appetizers and food is delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant/dance club. We have gone to so many clubs and they are filthy. This renovated place is clean and will thrive big as the word goes out.We will definitely come and support a place that is clean and the food is delicious of course do not forget to come and dance the night away. Cumbias, salsa, regatón and much more.

This place is a party on Saturday nights! The food and drinks are all solid and the prices are not too bad at all, but the real star of the show here is the live band. A dedicated stage with a large dance floor means you should plan on dancing all night long!

I could not place a reservation since the info for the phone number was not updated, but the host lady kindly gave us a table that was actually reserved for somebody else and accommodated the tables.Service was nice and friendly, food was served fast and fresh and hot, the menu is small but still they have three food choices: Mexican, Cuban and Peruvian. We tried the Cuban ropa vieja and Peruvian lomo saltado they were good. Late at night theres a DJ that plays all kind of music: reggae, reggaeton, cumbia, salsa, rock en español, and supposedly some bachata, which we did not get to dance since apparently they dont start playing until 1:40 am I have no idea why, but I guess its because the crowd either dont like it much or its too slow(?) any how, it is ok, to go and eat and if you feel like dancing some variety of music afterwards.The dancing room is a little small since it is close to the bar area but good enough to dance kind of freely.The only thing is the space between tables is so small! I think they added tables in the center and dont know why since they have plenty of a huge space at the end of the restaurant that they dont even use...? Nobody was seated there and lighting was not on in that space; that would make it feel less crowded and would give more freedom to move around tables to the waitresses; every time one would pass by I had to move my elbow to avoid them from hitting me and dropping my food from my fork! And to go back and forth from the bathroom was another hustle, I had to wait for a group of ladies finishing taking their never ending session of pictures to go back to my seat since there was no way around.Bathrooms were clean and stocked tho.I recommend this restaurant if you like a place where you can eat and dance and if youre ok with a variety of music to dance to. I was told this was a salsa dance restaurant, so I didnt really find it that great, but most people there seemed to be having a great time. So, recommended if you like ambience like that.

Had a awesome experience in this place with my wife. The food was served rapidly and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are affordable.

This visit was a surprise dinner/experience for my boyfriends birthday; we both had a great time. I made reservations via phone call and fax of a signed authorization for use of my credit card. I had previously only seen and heard about this type of thing on tv. We got there and the first thing they did was give us a ticket to our seats, we walked in and there were welcome shots,COOL! AND DELICIOUS! They have a different welcome shot of the night every night, actually only on Fridays and Saturdays is when they are open. After the welcome shot we go into the first room where there is a sort of pre-show, comedy and acrobatics;where we have more cocktails and they pass out hors doeuvres. Everyone waits here until they open the curtains to the main room where everyone is seated at the same time.

Reviewing the night club only. We did not consume any food so we cant review food. Drinks were good but pricey. The life band was excellent. The people are mostly over 40. Everyone is polite. Over all a great place if you like salsa dancing.

First time been here and really really coming back. From the staff at the entrance thru the staff at the restaurant. Everyone so nice and courteous. Offering you what to eat and what to drink. Also giving you some options. Definitely this a place you must come and experience something different something beyond the extra mile.

First time here....heard live music, a little dancing and a drink for a night out with friends. This place is a must go! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I do recommend plus youll have a blast with the live salsa music and the DJ playing there!

Great Food, Great Music... Great time !

Went for the first time for dinner on a Saturday night. Never going back. We got there, no one to greet us. Walked in, had no clue where to go, saw servers/bartenders, no one said anything. Waited in the lobby for the rest of my party. A couple came into the lobby, went inside and looked around, and then just left. Good call guys. Wish wed done the same. After ordering our food, waitress let us know the food was gonna take 45 min. Oh yay. We tried passing the time by dancing to the fairly decent music, only to have our waitress keep bumping into us as she delivered drinks and plates across the dance floor. Food arrived after 1.5 hours. The food wasnt bad, but it wasnt worth the hefty price tag. Go to Tropicana around the corner before going there if youre hungry. Or better yet, just steer clear of this place altogether.

Horrible!!!! I dont think they really know what theyre doing. We made reservations to celebrate my moms birthday September 21and service was terrible, the poor waitress couldnt handle it, one waitress for 3 big birthday parties, the waiting for food was for 1 and the half hour. TerribleI dont think they know how to run a restaurant. Terrible service terrible food. Muy pero muy mal servicio.

Its a nice place to eat good and delicious food and excellent music to dance or just listening with a romantic person. It was my first time las Sunday and I was excited the about the music alive music and dj also. Cumbias, merengues, bachatas, mambo, chacha, tropical, salsa, etc. Variety of music. I am recomend this place to enjoy a wonderful night.

Really good service, the food was really good and the wait was minimal. Came with the wife on Saturday and we both were very please with our waitress, she was very helpful and very nice. On Saturday they have a live band and DJ at night, it was really fun.

The atmosphere is great the food not so much. If you want to go there to eat you might re consider, but if youre there to listen to the music n dance its a good place to enjoy that.

We Had a wonderful experience. We went there when we were on vacation. We had 7 adults and 2 kids and they made us feel at home. Very welcoming. Our server was awesome. everything came out exactly the way we ordered. And with so many orders it was all served in a timely manner and hot! Nice very nice. We all had so many different things and all loved them. and they have an amazing lemon drop ice tea. When we visit the area again we are definitely be going back. Everyone has their own tastes and this is a place you have to try

The Palms is under new management and its amazing! New owners are very attentive and receptive to the clientele. Love the music, food is delicious and the mojitos are a must!

Good Cuban food at a reasonable price. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great happy hour deals, two-for-one margaritas. They have live bands that play salsa and merengue on the weekend.

Waited for 20 minutes and never got a menu.I get that there was a big group there but come on the hole staff didnt need to serve them there were other people there too.

Nice Restaurant, FOOD Is A Little Expensive, Seems To Attract An Older crowd. Was not too full around 7pm when we went there. The michelada was pretty good, the Cadillac Margarita was average. Parking lot was pretty full despite not having alot of people.

The place is too small to have a dancing area, the cover fee is ridiculous, I cannot believe they charge to go to the restaurant..

I love that place, is close to where I live, and my Rabo encendido, (oxtail) is the best that i ever try, Not even In La Carreta Rest. In Miami Florida..the music is great the people there are very nice and efficient, The best Service in town Honestly...go and check f your self..I highly recommended...

Had a lot of fun dancing all night

Flew in and had lunch. Had the Turkey sandwich with pepper jack . It was delicious, so were their fries . The view is amazing and the play area for kids is so much fun.

The place is nice... food is ok... service is horrible... all about the money. On weekend the music is good... Mon-friday it is one of the worst places in downey.

What a nice surprise!!! One of my friends invited me a month ago to have dinner at The Palms, and since then, I can not stop going almost daily to have lunch, and a few times to enjoy their beautiful music. Its been almost 25 years that Southern California did not have a classy place where you can enjoy great gourmet Latino food, combined with the best Latino band in town, La charanga Cubana, and Pedrito Duarte, a famous Colombian Vallenato and tropical singer. Their music is just sensational. You might want to call in advance and make reservations, because the place is getting very bussy, and sometimes is difficult to get a table. Be ready to be surprised by all these great people; by the way, the management and all employees and owners are very nice people, and you WILL be treated like a king. What a nice experience!!! Congratulations to the owners, managers, and employees in general; this is the way to do business, and to offer a pleasant experience to Latinos in Southern California!!!!!!!!
