This rec center has been a landmark for our town for a very long time. Mr. DOUG TEW himself was known as a really good man who was kind and gave a lot to our community in service. The building is old but they have maintained it well. This is the office portion for the recreation department for the Southside of Dothan. The brand new Oates Park is where all of the activities are held now. There are ballfields, two playgrounds, bathrooms, a concession stand during ball season and a very nice paved and well light walking trail at the new facility.

Camp Choctaw is a great summer program for the kids. This is our childrens 3rd summer going and they love it.

Took my son for swimming lessons he loved it! The instructors are great with kids!

Wont be back. Lifeguards dont enforce the same rules as each other. Even if your kid has a lifejacket on they cant leave the shallow end WITH you. Husband wasnt allowed to swim because they didnt approve of his swim clothing, had already paid for him and didnt even get the money back since he sat in the car the whole time. Run by a bunch of gossiping children. Go anywhere else, dont go here.

Take my eight year old to play basketball and some guy was teaching my son how to play the nice

Dothan Wiregrass Dance Club enjoys their live band & dancing every Saturday night at Doug Tew. We had a blast tonight.

On Sat 10/10/18 I cooked pancakes during the 6AM to 9AM Kiwanis Club of Dothan Pancake Breakfast event to raise money for childrens causes here in the greater Dothan area.

Gets worse every year. Run by a bunch or kids. Make sure theyre going to let you swim before you pay. They charged us and let us in before they told us we couldnt swim and then wouldnt give us our money back
