One of the best places to have a good time. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. The Red Bar in the back is one of the best places for live music in Detroit. The Chris Canas Band definitely approves.

What a gem,old world charm with great food good service and a great view of Detroit,though you must be a member or have a friend who is to enjoy this place,wait till there is a special event or an open house to visit.Belle isle is also very beautiful now and safe,its a must see in what is now an up-and-coming Detroit.

We have been members for 3 years. It is a great family friendly resort in the city. 3 bars, 2 restaurants, 2 pools and a hot tub. Transient slips available first come. We love it here.

Had a great time at the Detroit Yacht Club during the Detroit City Football League’s after party hosted by the Villages team. Great pool and outdoor bar and a really nice place to hang out during the summer time. The Club is on Belle Isle and is members-only. However, this event was open to soccer players in the DCFL for this night only.

A truly historic club with all the beauty one could ask for. Great view of the Detroit skyline from the grand balcony. Such history. ..everyone was so nice! Would love to go again.

It is a members only yacht club.Ive been here on and off for work for the past few months and let me tell you: their food is excellent. Every day is a new specials menu and the core menu has great items to appeal to many people.The facility is clean, the bars are well stocked and the staff are very friendly and accommodating! The building is definitely old, and the style of it definitely reflects that, but dont let that deter you!There is sailing classes for all ages and a swim team. During the day there are many kids, but there are plenty of things for them to do. They recently had a new wireless put in that has great speeds!

No better private club indoor pool, racquetball swim and sailing lessons and views of downtown off the water. Truly the best value in the city

Bell Island has really been beautifully done over now that its a State Park.

Great place to get away ... Social club, boat marina with a social experience of being boat residents, ... Swimming pool, lots of biking/ hiking/ swimming coves and beaches around the island outside dyc. An experience of a weekend getaway that can be a getaway even for the week, a club/ resort 30 min drive from home.Good place to entertain business guests in a not so stuffy way. Good views over the river, calm, food and service are good.Good safe resort for kids (and their friends) too.

Nice facility, but no air conditioning or fans in a room of hundreds of people. They need to modernize a little bit to accommodate. It was oppressive without air.

Such a great place for families. We love the DYC, the membership team is unparalleled and they really think about what offerings their members like. The food is pretty good but the service and environment is what keeps us members.

I attended our Annual BSA picnic on the grounds. It was pretty and the view was beautiful.

I first visited the Detroit Yacht Club in the late fifties, and it is still a wonderful club. I was a guest today and loved it.

Food should be better, atmosphere is fine. Feels more like a sign of status than an actual destination.

I attended a wedding and reception there yesterday and everything there was absolutely fantastic! The set up was beautiful. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was superb. The attention to detail was extraordinary. From start to finish it was an amazing experience!

Food was awesome, staff was excellent. Two weddings going on, and you couldnt tell to were going on it was excellent!

First time ever going to a yacht club. The establishment was beautiful and clean. You can literally spend an entire day there. From swimming in the Olympic size pool to eating a very delicious meal in the restaurant to taking the children in a kiddie room to play, you can have the pick of the day. Have a drink with friends or by yourself. But most of all sitting on the dock to sitting on the docked boats is so relaxing and tranquil or even taking the boat out onto the main waters just puts you into a different element. The people I encountered were pleasant. The live band entertainment was also amazing and adds to the wonder of the day.

Its a beautiful place with a lot of things to do. They also have wonderful polite staff.

Really enjoyed the food and scenery

Attended a small dinner party. I enjoyed the food but many of guest complained that there was a lack of seasoning. So, to each its own. The staff was very friendly, loved that! The atmosphere was nice, beautiful decor. My only issue was the timing of the food. Half of our party was packing up their food in to go boxes, while the other half was still waiting for their orders.

They have good things for fishing and at a nice price

Nice and secure, but the water is very high this year and it seems this place isnt really set up for such a high water line

Absolutely love this yacht club! It is such a beautiful structure. The staff is warm and inviting. The management is highly professional and they host events to perfection. Members are down to earth and extremely friendly. I have held and attended many events there and it will always be one of my favorite locations in Detroit.

Beautiful setting and great city views. We were there for a wedding so its hard to judge, but the food was less than amazing. The Club is being restored and improved - I would go back and visit again.

This is the best yacht club around! Steeped in a rich history of yachting but down to earth with Detroit grit, youll never find a greater group of people.

We went to a beautiful wedding there Friday night. It was a memorable night. Valencia was a great bar tender!!

It was wonderful and so beautiful. The staff was great especially the valets. They were so sweet and easy to talk too. They took prom photos with my best friend and I because we didnt have dates.

A lovely venue. Everyone there was exceedingly polite.

Lived there as a teen on parents boat. Wonderful place to grow up.

I went to the bathroom and it was one of the worst experience I have ever had. They were so nasty, I almost threw up. Please make sure that someone come and constantly check them. Other than that I enjoyed my stst in Detroit Michigan.

I mean. It was an open bar. So Im... A little biased. Your drive way doesnt look like a driveway. It looks like a walking bridge. Its troublesome. You need more signs. A nice police officer helped us find our way to you, I didnt know the yacht club was in Narnia.

Really cool place to see. Long standing history. If have the opportunity to go in with a member, take it! Im lucky to get a chance when I work in Detroit.

Thought they are closed supposed to fix the place up and reopen it Detroits coming back to life we went to Belle Isle it was real nice just drove around and we went and sat by the water it was awesome

There were some glaring defects with the interior. This was my first time at this venue and I was disappointed in its appearance. The servers were nice but the event was a bit understaffed. The servers were forced to work multiple tables.

DYC is a nice location to spend a Saturday relaxing and enjoying its nice view of the Detroit skyline. I attended a wedding here. The only thing missing was air conditioning but it wasnt a major issue
