Best place in detroit for the kids to go to enjoy themselves in the pool or just relax and the showers are nice and hot but warm for the kids or you can just picnic outside!!

I had a great experience, its a place where you can get your rec on, and if youre 60 or older, its absolutely free. They have all the equipment you will need. So go online fill out the application. Joseph Walker rec center.

My kids love thus place. I like supervision in shower room. Could use some clean up in parking lot.

Best recreation center in the City of Detroit. Located on 12th where the Detroit riots where its a hardcore neighborhood and the locals go there to stay in shape and to have fun. They wont bother you as long as you the facility and treat it like your own. Huge gym huge pool, arts n craft dance room, etc.

I love the Detroit Department of parks and recreations. The staff here are friendly and kind to the children. I’ve been visiting the center at one and all for 16 years is a good place for the children to have somewhere to go after school and your round especially the summer camps, swimming Coaches are great

Great little community center just north of Midtown. Cant believe it took me so long to find this place. Staff/members are very welcoming and helpful. Clean place. Lockers are in awful state of disrepair.

Pool is cleaned locker room cleaning updated.Membership is very very affordable.

A really nice place, really cool start and the clientele are down to earth people. I love the water aerobics and the programs that are offered to the youth.

Great place to get your body and health back in true form!!! Lost close to 200 pounds @ these Recreation Centers over the past seven years!!!!!! Soon starting a training program there and east @ the Coleman Young Center showing people how to get there youth back!!!!! Look out for my program notice soon!! Ali Shaakirs 405 plan!!!! My weight when I started getting my life back!!!!!

Water aerobics here is awesome!!! Mondays, and Wednesdays from 9:30am - 10:30am hard and intense workout on focus pointed areas

This place is dirty. The only reason I wanted to go there was because of the pool but the door to the pool was closed all the time and you would have to knock for 5 minutes for someone to come open it.
