Great experience. But you would think if someone was trying to get a room They would be willing to work with them on a hotel room for the night. I had no problem paying for the room but $500? And it’s not even a suite? Even the pit bosses were agreeing that they were charging to much for 1 night. Still had a blast everything was well but having to stay at another casinos hotel was a down fall. Never was offered an M life card at the high stakes table which is no big deal but that was the reason I couldn’t get a break on the room.

I love MGM theyre always cleaning and wiping down seats an slot machine to keep us safe. And I appreciate it so much.

Its a very nice casino and they have done a phenomenal job to bring it back safety from covid. I feel safer there then I do at home. The reason its not a 5 is because Im still getting hit up for money all night. Also as much as I love the distances between chairs Im still seeing friends or families pulling away the chairs from the active machines that i would like to play and pilling them up by there friend or family to watch them play. Other then that its great

Very clean knee and a great place for entertainment about the one complaint I had was parking. Getting into the parking garage and finding a place to park with no problem but walking to the correct level or taking the elevator to the correct level was a bit confusing. However after getting inside and gaming for a bit I was pleasantly happy.

This is one of the best (if not the best) casinos I have been to. When I am in Detroit on business I make it a point to come here at least once. Always leave with a decent hit. Food is good as well.

Easy access again to parking and entrance. Appreciated. Good play on slots. Proper distancing in practice. Consistent sanitizing applied in restrooms. Sanitizer stations placed periodically throughout casino. No smoking inside Thank you! Gaming tables.

The accomodatation at this place is appropriate for non-families as smoking is permitted inside the non lodging area. The training facility and spa are unique but not considerably fascinating. The swimming pool was dimly lit probably to set up for relaxing feel but seemed depressing instead. Overall, staff are very friendly and interested to assist. Parking valet is complimentary but I would recommend tipping as the valet guys do a great job!

Every time Im here i have a wonderful time the winnings are good and there cheese cake is the best and there a good variety of slots games and its nice and clean customer service are very helpful Ill keep coming back every chance i can

I can see where it could be enjoyable but almost all the restaurants and bars are closed up so dont go there hungry or thirsty

I like this casino the best of any of the Detroit Casinos. Alittle strange with all the new restrictions but I like the no smoking. I have stayed at the hotel before and it was nice but over priced.

For the most part it was good, but some machines were not working. They had issues as not accepting cash, not paying on small amounts and requiring hand pays, there for plan on waiting at least an hour for a slot attendant. Glad I didnt have to catch a plane.

2hrs, up and down, broke even. Watching everyone else bet way more and winning way more often. If you want to feel poor or become poor. Go here

High price line for blackjack. Not worth it compared to other casinos. It was beautiful inside and out. Valet was amazing! They took great care of our car.

Covid19 times reviewOnly entrance is via the parking garage. A line was there to go thru the screening but it moved quickly.While we saw a total of two waitresses walking around with drinks we had no luck sitting at a machine and attempting to order which resulted in having to go to the bar in the center.Security and staff walking around and enforcing the mask rule at all times.If you do not have a drink to your MOUTH they make you wear a mask.Most of the games are shut down for social distancing so its not as fun when playing as a couple because you are not going to be next to each other and playing the same game.

Table limits just way too high amazing how many people that dont have jobs have enough money to spend in that casino

I felt comfortable inside, people were not on top of each other. Someone was constantly wiping slots down or asking people to pull up their mask. A very noticeable difference between MGM and Motorcity.

Just a class act. Feel safe, appreciate th email fact that they have sanitizing wipes to clean your hands and especially the machines. The smoking area is amazing, and the entire staff is welcoming and professional.

Excellent job on the staffing team for keeping the business clean and easy to understand and find where you are going. Machines hit good.

Best nightLife scene in Detroit. Clean and spacious and it has an upscale modern vibe compared to the competition. Vegas perks are great too.

The sports betting area is really comfortable and entertaining. The staff that I interacted with was also really friendly.

I always go for the clam chowder and the pot roast but I end up getting so much more

Gave us the wrong reservation for a different location. Took a half hour to fix. Took people behind us in line. That made the wait longer. Wanted to eat at Taps for dinner. It was closed. Then the bed was so hard. Not comfortable. Pillows were not as soft as in the past. Been here many times. Not happy.

If youre planning on doing sport bets do them early in the week. Otherwise youll be faced with long lines and chaos. Audi make sure you have your players card handy to do the bets.

Parking was great and the casino was fun. This was my first time there. I really enjoyed myself.

They just reopened. Very different from the normal. Lots of hand sanitizer stations. Many machines not working to keep people safely distanced. Hopefully it will go back to normal. Treasure island in red wing still allows smoking and for smokers thats fair. Probably mentally ill rule from our lovely power struck governor. They are doing the best they can.

The pool is not for kids, nobody under the age of 18 allowed. I did not read that anywhere on this website but digging farther into the MGM website it did state that nobody under the age of 18. So i had to find other things to do with my 3 year old. Also, you HAVE to use valet in order to get your luggage from your car. There is no way to get luggage from self parking without carrying it a block. No coolers larger then a 6 pack allowed, i did not read that anywhere! Way too many dang rules and strips you of all money. NOT a kid friendly place. I know its a casino but still there is nothing for kids to do there or close by. The room was nice and the view was beautiful but for the price of it it wasnt worth it.

Although the entire casino experience is completely different now, mgm has done a great job trying to make the best out of a bad situation. What sucks is that I played slots for an hour, and never saw a beverage server, and couldnt get on a blackjack table due to social distancing. Again, not really the fault of mgm, I get they are doing their best, just sad.

Social distance with mask is in place. Clean and friendly. Went early not crowded. I like that there is a washing you hands station.

About $230 for a “standard room” that felt small w/two queen beds. Had to pay $35/per night to get a refrigerator. There was no microwave in the room either. The lighted make-up mirror didn’t work and the bose speaker in the bathroom ceiling was useless. They also wanted to charge $30 extra for a 1 o’clock check out. The nice looking infinite pool was a bit chilly and I’m a person who likes the cold. The staff were the saving grace though. Very kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. My standard is Hilton hotels and this MGM Hotel did not measure up in value or comfort.

Theres nothing we didnt like except the heavy smoke in the casino. Were not terribly into gambling (maybe thats why?) so we didnt/couldnt spend much time there being non smokers and allergic to it. Very nice place overall and convenient for all we wanted to do in and around the city. Great bathroom too!

One of my favorite places to stay while in Detroit. The rooms are always clean and staff is always friendly. Hotel rooms are not to far from the casino main floor. Pool is inside and upscale. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are just perfect. You will enjoy your time here. Hotel has a separate entrance from the casino with Valet and the bellman get your bags quick and into your room with courteous service. Every time I stay at MGM, I get a room with a view and have haven’t been disappointed. This hotel is A1 can’t say one thing wrong. The entire staff is outstanding. Definitely will be back. A1 Hotel!

Its aged. But I might be anchoring my expectations on MGM National Harbor. The safety measures they put in place for covid are great and make me feel comfortable.

Mgm is taking covid precautions seriously. I felt very safe while there. The only downfall is many of the slots are closed and I did find several of my favorites not open but I found new ones to play and had a great time. Workers were very present on the floor, wiping down machines and making sure people were keeping their masks on. Overall, I wont hesitate to go back and donate my money lol.

Love it. Sad that theyre closed again but its for the best.

If you have any sensitivity to cigarette smoke, this is not the hotel for you. While the rooms are non-smoking, the hotel lobby is directly connected to the casino. As soon as you walk into the lobby, you’re hit with cigarette smoke smell. The service was amazing, the rooms were spacious and not smoky. The pool was awesome. But we spent one evening at the 32 degrees bar and Tap restaurant and I woke up feeling like I myself smoked a pack of cigarettes. We did room service the rest of the trip because I couldn’t go back down to the restaurant or coffee shop (which is located in the casino). If you don’t have smoke sensitivity, the location was great! We walked to John King Rare and Used books as well as to Buddy’s Pizza and the LCA!

Wow! This hotel is really awesome! .... The shower alone can fit 3 people in it at once! Lol.... The casino is nice also.... They do allow smoking in the casino ... The room had a wonderful view.... There is a bar fridge in the room for convenience (you will be charged if you remove anything)... The bed was big and comfortable with lots of pillows.... The room temp was comfortable and clean. Hotel valet is available and there is also a self parking garage.... Im told that you cannot roll luggage through the casino area (non verified info). There is also someone that checks to make sure you have a room key to enter into the area to go up to the floor(added safety plus) Definitely would recommend checking out this Hotel and Casino.... Easy access to freeway and other attractions in the Downtown area! By the way you really dont have to leave the hotel plenty of good food, drinks and gambling!

MGM used to have the best food have all the three Detroit casinos. It seems the new Coney Island its the worse cheese they use for the chili cheese fries and loaded fries horrible. Wish they went back to their old way

THE number one Casino in Michigan, on my list at least. Excellent large space that is circular to aid traffic flow, it works, even when its crowded it doesnt feel cramped like Motor City and Greektown can. Lots and lots of slots and always adding new ones. Also the best bonuses promotions and comps in Michigan. As I said, definitely my number one.

It could be a little bit cleaner. Pillows were nice.

Even though its not at full capacity because of the covid19. There is no more buffet, no live entertainment, or nonsmoking you have to smoke in the parking garage. The casino is very clean and they still have club axis where you can buy drinks watch the game and listen to music.

Even with current mask requirement it was enjoyable. Staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable. Worth it.

Love to play and eat at MGM. With the Pallette being closed and after putting hundreds in the machines it is hard to win there.

It was good. I love the social distancing, even before it became the new norm. There is only one Guest Express that gives coins back.

Delivery was quick. Overnight parking with pre-approval. Getting backed into dock can be a challenge tho...

First time back after Covid. Casino was very clean, cleaner than Vegas (I went there a few weeks ago). But due to restrictions you can only drink in certain areas and not at slot machines which takes a lot of fun out of the experience. Staff was happy to be back and made us feel welcome. But staff was inconsistent about enforcing mask wearing. One manager told us we had to move our masks a certain way to take a drink, but other employees said nothing. I will gladly follow the rules to keep everyone safe, but please enforce them consistently.

Beautiful accommodations and very friendly staff. Loved the complimentary valet parking. Only issue is since it is attached to a casino I could smell the cigarette smoke everywhere except the room.

Sports lounge is limited capacity might be a wait to sit. However, betting was fun and the ambiance was great even showed the ufc fight when greektown didnt.

Years ago my Dad picked me up at Greyhound. We had some time to spare so he thought I might like to visit the nearby casino across the bridge. Lots of nickle slots and lever type ones. May visit again upon reopening to see card, dice and roulette games. Want to meet up with me there?

They are well prepared for Covid, cleaners everywhere, masks are required, lots of space between operating slots. Friendly, professional staff. As good as it gets given the pandemic.

I realize with covid19 going on things are going to be different but the food my husband and I received at the Breeze last night was horrible. We have been coming to your casino for many years and spent, to us, lots of money. We come from Toledo. Were had to throw away 2 double cheeseburgers as they tasted like something other than meat, chili cheese fries as they tasted like they had been sitting for days and a chicken club that was dry and tasteless. Needless to say we will never order food at your casino again.

Though the line to get in was long the machines were paying out way better than other casinos. So glad I got to take my sister out and her eyes lite up when she walked out with more than she went in with.

Machines were extremely tight. And way too many people for a pandemic. Only stayed an hour and left. People were still smoking while the entire joint is non smoking.

Today I learned smoking is still allowed in Michigan casinos. Gross. Theres no easy indoor way to get to the hotel from the self parking garage except through the casino, which is smoke-filled, and they complain if your ID has just recently expired.The buffet is good but not nearly worth $50, and again, youre eating while surrounded by smoke. The buffet closes at an odd time, and nobody gives the usual last call warning that the buffet is about to close.On the plus side, parking is free, both self and valet parking.

They dont clean the seats or the machines after people play at the machines all day its not my job to clean they have employees they are paying that they could pay to sit and clean but they dont also at the tables i noticed they dont clean the chips every time they pass them out you could catch covid 19 that you dont what that person next you might have or not

Just go to have a great time!!!....and dont expect to win... great atmosphere and friendly staff... just give yourself a budget and be prepared to lose it... other than that...its all about having a good time!!

Interesting 360° floorplan. Good location relative to freeway. Tap is an excellent all-ages restaurant accessible without entering actual casino floor. Poker room has good promotions. Non-smoking slot area (very small) located next to main slot area with no doors, so doesnt keep smoke out that well.

Cleaner than most casinos. Stop serving alcohol at 1:30 on the DOT. Cigarettes are so expensive i suggest you bring a back up pack instead of buying them here. But this is still my favorite casino to visit in the Detroit area. Friendly atmosphere.

We love staying at the MGM Detroit. Staff makes you feel welcome. Love the spa area.They gave us access to the 17th floor Concierge level. Great sandwiches and goodies prepared by Haifa Matti who is a wonderful host and very pleasant.

Our room was pretty fabulous, special thank you to Henry for the upgrades, and all the staff for making it as very pleasant stay. It was hard to get food after 11 on a Tuesday. Also sleep was tough, the covers got very warm and the pillows were a little too soft.

Its cool... Definitely an MGM, however no winnings to take home this time.

This is my least favorite of all the casinos in Detroit. The vibe is uninviting, the dealers were not nice and the table minimums $25. They do not serve free drinks. The comps they give you despite high level play are a joke. I would suggest greektown casino instead.

I was to just wait for my lift Ride to come with no Hassel. Spoke with security which was very professional like and allowed me to wait for my ride ... Very comfortable like.

Overall it’s decent, but feels fairly dated. Staff were generally very nice and accommodating. Room service not being 24 hours a day was a real detraction of the experience. They do have a nice pet relief area in the front. They need to add a small market type shop in the lobby like the ALoft hotels do and a microwave in the room would be nice.We absolutely loved our full tub corner suite though. Fantastic jacuzzi style tub.

Its just the best casino the employees are always helpful and the games are so fun to play cant find them games at other casinos in ohio, indiana IAM so very happy they are back up

Completely upsetting very unprofessional the kiosk machines were down 1 was working by the sports betting bar I waited 1 hour to put my bets in know one was working on the machines all the time everyone was waiting I come down to the casino 3 to 4 times a week mgm is the only casino I gamble at I love the casino

The room was nice. The gym was not kept up well. Tricep handle busted, bench press seat no longer locks down, balls are not at adequate air fill to use and extremely dirty to the point I did not want to touch them, and the wipes were dry having them at that point no longer able to disinfect anything. What I did not like was that an upgrade was a room just like the room I had booked only thing is 10 flight higher. Not impressed with that at all. A view from the 5th and the view from the 16th was not an upgrade.

It’s a lot better now that it is smoke free.
