Very well kept beautiful safe part felt completely at home there great for the little ones and a great place to stroll around with your puppies and your loved ones please try it sometime

Great playground for parents of young children. Very shaded with giant cottonwood trees, big picnic pavilion.

Shade for kids to swing! Great climbing & sliding options. Helpful neighbor cleaned up all storm debris and brings in water for plants. :) No running water, though in the current pandemic, thats true of most local parks?

Very quiet place to relax with the family not a bunch of people and its safe

Great little park WITH SHADE! Almost always has other kids to play with. Couple downsides though. Theres a broken (fenced off,) slide that hasnt been fixed yet and sometimes theres loiterers.UPDATE: I havent seen any loiterers near the playground for quite some time. (Hooray!) Lately theres been lots of happy use from this park. The parents and kiddos who visit are generally very nice and polite

It was ok. Couldve been cleaner. Trash was full and spilt over but other than that kids enjoyed it

Pleasant park for younger kids. It has a porta potty, small pavilion with a picnic table, and a water fountain. I went there today in a sunny and hot day, theres lots of shade from old trees, so we didnt need to worry about sunscreen.

Its a nice small park with benches to sit and watch the kids play and trees for shade so it dont get to hot.

The park has a playground which my kids love. We rented barbeque grills and we set up a picnic table. This is a fun place to bond with your family.

We have attended here for over a year now. This park is a small jewel tucked away in the neighborhood. It has good swings (infant & bigger kids) and safe playground equipment with 3 different size slides. Its more or less designed for kids 10 and under. Its grounds are well maintained and the many mature trees offer excellent shade. It has one Pavilion and plenty of picnic tables. They offer only one portable bathroom, that is never well maintained, and located far away. Parking is limited to road. We bring our 3 year old great niece here 3 to 4 times a week in seasonable.weather. She loves playing here. We feel safe at all times when attending this park.

Chamberlain Park is a nice park just outside of downtown Des Moines.There is a playground, a swing set, and a shelter.The downsides are that there is not much parking besides on the street, and I didnt see a bathroom.But probably the biggest upside is that there is plenty of shade, which is good for hot days.

In response to the person who said this park has paddle boats: no, it doesnt. Theres no body of water at this park.This is a small neighborhood park, but it has a great playground. There are tall structures for the kids to climb. Its located across from Woodland Cemetery, and its generally quiet. Its also well shaded.

It is a nice playground and park... lots of shadow. I like the fact that there is tall tress and we were here around 4pm until 5pm, even thought it was 100 degrees, it still felt cooler with some breeze.

Nice little park with just the right amount of things to keep my grandkids occupied and burn off some excess energy!

There was trash there. Liquor bottles on the ground.

If you are looking for a playground to take your kids for a playdate I wouldnt recommend this park since its right next to a cemetery other than that its a beautiful park and great place to bring children when visiting loved ones that have passed
