Great experience. A wonderful historical monument, with its charms and incredibly beautiful architecture. The staff were very friendly and answered all questions, and the place itself has a unique atmosphere. At the same time, the tour here is mere short in time, but everything is fascinating and extremely useful for self-development. I recommend to everyone!
Ol Maggy kept up such a beautiful house, its truly a gem!The Molly Brown House is an essential part of any exploration of Denver landmarks! The history within these walls... The architecture alone is a treat. However, as its now become a functioning museum, people can learn so much more than they ever could have from their childhood Molly B Fantasys or those familiar local ghost stories!
Enjoyed the visit to Molly brown house. The folks over there have maintained everything really well. Despite social distancing we were able to do a self tour using an app. The store right outside the house was super cute and has lots of fun stuff to get.
What a cool place. I am a huge history buff and have been to a lot of places in CO while studying it in school. This one is one of the best places and in the heart of the city. It was so interesting to learn how incredible of a woman Molly Brown. This house is a great place for dad or mom to bring young girls and teach them about a powerful women that comes from their own area. An adventure and mogul, a women not interesting in fame but, living a life style of a renaissance woman. A great person for young women to look up to and hear the story of her life from all the disasters to her amazing accomplishments.
This was an amazing experience, even with social distancing measures we were able to see everything. The staff/volunteers/docent were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The house is beautiful and the gift shop has a great variety of items. I think I learned more about womens suffrage today than I ever did in school.
This place was magical. To be able to see and walk in a house as old as it is and to know the history and feel what it was like back in the early 1900’s. It was awesome. A must see. Takes about an hour if not less. Really cool
Interesting and unique place to visit. I grew up here in Denver but had never been before. I went for the first time last year. If you are a history buff or have a specific interest in the titanic you will probably love this place. As a local who isn’t the biggest history buff I thought it was a little underwhelming. To me it was more of just like a house tour. I do find Molly Brown’s story to be interesting, but the house was nothing extra special to me. It went to this museum during the Denver art week and so it was free. I’m glad I didn’t pay a lot of money for it not being my favorite spot. I know the do teas and other events there and those might be fun. But just my honest opinion.
Absolutely amazing. A, MUST-SEE, for anyone with a passion for history or historical architecture! Very informative tour guides and very well-done Plan B in place for COVID compliance.
We had an amazing tour and learned a lot about Molly Brown and her family. We experienced good customer service during and before the tour. Their gift shop is definitely a must see after the tour concludes. Recommended to all history lovers.
Just a great tour and really cool to see the reconstructed house and learn about Margaret Molly Brown. I really enjoyed the audio tour and there were guides in several rooms to answer questions. The gift shop was not a traditional bland gift shop but had great period specific pieces, books, jewelry, games for children... We bought several keepsakes. This was a smaller museum but absolutely worth the visit! We very much enjoyed it.
The audio guide (available for Android and Iphone) was a perfect complement to the amazing restoration and presentation of the house. There are also many helpful museum guides that can help answer any questions! I cant wait to take my parents here when they come to visit!!
What a fun little tour! The house is incredible and the story of Margaret Brown is neat. We had time to kill while in Denver so we started doing a little searching of things to do when touring the house of Margaret Brown came up. Did a little searching on who she was and was like I had no idea! Lets go! Id you dont know who Margret Brown is, she was one of the survivors of the Titanic. She is even portrayed in the Movie. (Not accurately, but you will have to go do the tour to know why I say that.)
Downloaded a self guided audio tour, which was great. There are people there to answer questions.I loved seeing Molly and JJs home and a glimpse at the real Molly Brown. Thanks to the staff!
It was cool. Nice history too. Its a quick tour and get on work your sight seeing within the neighborhood. The church around the corner is awesome
The museum is very nice and true to the time. It is a restoration, but you do get a good idea on what high class life was like 100 years ago.
The folks over there have maintained everything really well. Despite social distancing we were able to do a self tour using an app.
A very good museum about life in the Molly Brown era. We learned a lot that we hadnt known about Molly Brown. Excellent audio your. Steps are involved, so not handicap accessible. Theyre is a lift to get to the first floor, but not to the upper two floors.
This was an interesting tour of the Molly Brown House. I highly recommend that you visit her home, if you are ever in Denver! It is well worth the visit. Also, due to Covid-19, you to purchase tickets in advance online.
A wonderful historical monument, with its charms and incredibly beautiful architecture. The staff were very friendly and answered all questions, and the place itself has a unique atmosphere.
Amazing piece of history. The tour guides are very informative and the house is simply amazing. Definitely a must see if in the Denver area!
Awesome tour! I was happy to have my misconceptions about The Unsinkable Molly Brown cleared up. Very organized and efficient crowd management. I highly recommend taking this tour while in Denver. If you have a teacher or military ID you can get a discount.
Had a wonderful time walking through the Brown house and seeing real life history actually there and seeing them in my mine what they would of been like. Just beautiful and thank you for keeping them alive for all to enjoy.
Love the staff there, one was so friendly and helpful, she introduced us some stories about Molly. If you want to know each section of the house, dont forget to download the PDF !!!
The Molly Brown house tour was amazing and especially at Halloween time with all of the cool decorations! Our tour guide was lovely and informative. We got to learn so much about Molly Brown and all the great things she did in her life as well as some great tidbits about Denver history. I recommend this to locals and visitors alike!
This house has been restored so well and the history is all through it. Definitely make a stop when you are in Denver!
Great tour, amazing to see still has some original items to the house, Gwen was a fantastic enthusiastic tour guide. Those that find issue should learn to research the tour such as when to get there, how to go about parking (cause parking downtown in any big city sucks), times and locations to be at, do your research cause its not the fault of the house and staff if you get it wrong, pay attention and read the website it tells you everything, this is definitly something I think a visitor should do.THANK YOU GWEN.
Im so in love with Margaret Brown, she was a remarkable woman and this little gem is a worthwhile stop with in Denver. Beautiful house and they did a nice job recreating her world here. They deck the halls for Christmas too ♡ quite lovely!
A fantastic museum that is an amazing preservation of a house built in the 1880s. It not only has immaculate restorations of furniture, it also contains recreations of what Victorian Denver life was like. Originally built with electricity, it’s quite unique with small hallways and multiple floors in a closed layout with few open air of multi story foyers.Went during Denver arts week which happens during the first Saturday of November where multiple art museums graciously open up their doors for free between 5-10pm. This day happened to be extremely popular with a line along the street and a 20 minute wait but it’s well worth it for an amazing tour of the entire house. No pictures within the house which is a bit of a bummer but the museum that is located underneath the main house is quite cool. Well worth a visit with friendly staff and reasonable admission prices on most other days.
Being a fan of Margaret - not Molly- Brown this tour was a highlight during our recent trip to Denver.. Our tour guide was well-informed, entertaining, and was happy to share all the information about Margaret Brown that has been amassed. Truly impressive was the philanthropist that Margaret Brown was. She rallied for all funds for her fellow survivors of the Titanic as well as being a fundraiser throughout her entire life. The basilica in downtown Denver is certainly one of the recipients of funds raised. A True American rags to riches, then back to rags story this 45 minute tour through the Margaret Brown house is definitely a good use of your time. Don’t overlook the fine detailing in the house- amazing workmanship to be sure!
So much wonderful history here. A must see when visiting Denver. Margaret Brown was an amazing strong intelligent woman. The tour guides are wonderful. She did so much for others, and is not just known for being the unsinkable molly brown, but her activism.
This is the worst experience for a tour. Do not waste your money. They do not bother with guide. Covid is not an excuse to not offer proper tours.
While I was thrilled to see the inside of the house, I was disappointed with the actual tour. I felt the information was kind of generic and I wished it was a bit more specific/educational. I enjoyed my visit, I just wish it was a better tour. We also couldn’t see the 3rd floor because they were doing training. Why have training in a place where you’re preventing visitors from going there?
Amazing experience! Loved the self guided tour and helpful attendants manning each floor. Clearly very knowledgable and very willing answer all our questions. Get there early or try to book a morning tour.
What a gem! We came upon this museum by chance and it became one of our favorite stops. The docent was incredible and the home has been lovingly preserved. You can reserve your tour times online. We were fortunate enough to get a spot as a walk in, but I would make a reservation to be safe.
Great walk through time! Our tour guide was apropos and knowledgeable, but cannot remember her name for anything. Reddish-hued hair. Just trying to give her props!
Wonderful tour opportunity if your in Denver. We have previously toured the Titanic museum in Branson so we really enjoyed learning about Molly (Margret), her personal life, husbands success and a few details about her two children. The furnishings are time dated accurately and some of the furniture is original. Great story and our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgable.
This place was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our tour guide, but she was absolutely lovely. She had white hair and a beautiful upturned nose, and I really just want her to narrate every tour I ever go on. She taught me so much about the wonderful Margaret Brown. This is honestly the number one thing I would recommend to people visiting Denver.
On road 2013 trip, Seattle to Denver this was nice place to end our trip, coming from Belfast and watching the films of Titanic, she was a gutsy lady.
This museum was awesome! There is so much more to Molly (Margaret) Brown! Please take the tour! She was and still is a great inspiration to women! Certainly lived before her time!
I had a wonderful tour of the molly brown house during my stay in Denver. I was fortunate to go during a time that there wasn’t too much people taking tours and was the only person taking a tour at the time. It was a more comfortable atmosphere that way and Sind I didn’t have to share my guide I feel like I got a lot more out of the tour. My guide was a wonderful lady who definitely knew her stuff, and made sure i enjoyed my tour. The house itself is full of history and held a lot of meaningful material to learn from, not to mention beautiful. I definitely came away with a new found respect for “molly” Brown. The tour Was inexpensive but they also offer student discount as long as you bring your student ID. Overall it was very educational and enjoyable.
Nice, friendly waitstaff, great atmosphere. Food was great!
We had such a great time that we are already planning to go back. We were about 30 minutes early which worked out perfect because the gift shop was really cool. Our Docent was amazing! She was a great story teller and very lively in her words. If you enjoy history, antiques, decor or just curious how the rich lived back then, I highly recommend checking out the Molly Brown House Museum. If youre more interested in the Titanic, then I recommend the gift shop which is behind the house, no ticket needed to enter.
This place is amazing!! We all learned so much.
Have wanted to go here for a long time! So glad I finally got to go. And was able to take my husband (his first time too!) with me as well!
The tour guide was really informative and very knowledgeable about Margaret Brown. I loved learning about her story and the large roles she played during her life. The tour guide was also very friendly and able to answer questions. I enjoyed learning about the home and significance of certain pieces. The home is very beautiful. I definitely recommend a visit!
Wonderful place to visit!! And learn the Margaret Brown really was a woman like no other!!! And definitely unsinkable!!
We came to see Molly brown house while on vacation in CO. We were very excited to learn more as we have always been a fan of her story. We were there on a Friday with our 2 kids. Upon coming to the door we were notified that we would not have a guide, but had to download an online reading tour. With only 2 of us that had a phone our children could not be involved. They were so bored and started wondering around. So as my husband and I were trying to walk ourselves through the tour we were constantly having to search for the kids that they were not touching anything or causing problems. Long story short, we spent over $50 and we learned very little. Furthermore, the basement area that contained a lot of their early history was blocked off. Was not a good experience overall for the money we had spent.
It wasnt open when it said it would be, but we enjoyed farting on their porch swing. 5-star! Would toot again!
I do not like reading history in a book. In person it is a whole new story. All I really knew about Molly Brown is that she survived the Titanic. Wow was I impressed by her life story. Did you know she never even went by Molly? Did you know that she had 2 kids and after her own death they did not inherit her house? Did you know that the house was going to be torn down in 1970? Did you know that she saved and improved the lives of so many people? When in town this is a must see.
What an homage to an amazing womans life! Thank you
Interesting tour that gives the true story of the unsinkable Molly Brown. She had been a woman way before her time. The home is well preserved and has plans for more renovation.
Our tour guide, Erin, was one of the best tour guides weve ever had anywhere. The house is just fantastic! We loved hearing the real story of Margaret (Maggie) Brown and how it differed from the Molly legend that was mostly invented after her passing. History Colorado does such a great job with each of their sites, and this one is no exception. We had the unexpected after-tour bonus of a meet-and-greet with Ms. Brown herself and she was just as lovely and gracious as could be. We thoroughly loved this adventure and cant wait to come again soon!
It was so neat to see how they lived back then! Our guide was so wonderful; she had answers for everything, and pointed out every difference from modern living. Very good for us!
Great piece of History
I bought our tickets ahead of time online to ensure our spots. This restored historical gem is within walking distance of the Capitol and downtown. The tour guide was full of details, and I think I would have been happy with a two hour tour because Mrs. Browns life was so interesting! It was fun to hear about her real life compared to the movie The Unsinkable Molly Brown. I would have liked to seen more placards with details about each room.
If youre a fan of the story of Titanic, youll enjoy this place. Theres a gift shop behind the house (where tour tickets are purchase) filled with interesting Titanic souvenirs. A ticket costs less than $15 and a tour lasts for about 1 hour. A very knowledgeable tour guide named Bennett was with us. Highly recommended if youre in the downtown Denver area and need to kill a few hours.
Im a huge fan of history and especially the history of the Titanic. This is a beautiful home and theyre constantly doing maintenance on it and fixing it up. I was bummed that only a very small percentage of the furniture and accessories of the house is original but our guide did point out each piece that was actually Mrs.Browns. Awesome architecture and overall beautiful house. Street parking, gift shop is small but super cute, beautiful bathroom inside the gift shop.
We were so impressed with the house and the tour.
This house is gorgeous and Margaret Molly Brown was a fascinating person. We enjoyed looking at the lovely house and listening to the guide tell the story of Mrs. Browns life.
A great place to celebrate the spirit of service above self
The Victorian/Edwardian Home is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable!
My daughter and I visited many years ago and it was amazing !
We did the Molly Brown House Tour and really enjoyed it. I recommend getting there early getting your tickets and then spend your time waiting for your tour to start in the basement watching the documentary film and reading the material.
We enjoyed visiting the museum; several pieces inside the house were original. The attention to detail as to how the house may have looked back in the early 1900s was well done. Our tour guide, however, could have been more knowledgeable and lacked experience, but she did a passable job.
We loved our visit to the Molly Brown House during our visit to Denver. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was like a blast to the past. A beautiful home with lots of history. Worth a visit.
Really enjoyed seeing such a unique bit of history. The house is well preserved and getting the guided tour absolutely made for a great experience. Not great for small kids. However my teenagers really enjoyed the short tour.
Beautifully restored home, period furnishings, fabulous history, and knowledgeable tour guide.
Fabulous home of the Unsinkable Molly Brown.
Beautiful home of Margaret Brown (aka The unsinkable Molly Brown).
Awesome! Loved the house and the staff! Thanks so much!
Awesome!! Very educational and interesting. Loved it!! Not just Titanic stuff, but about her life. Definitely recommend going.
Pretty cool place. Beautiful land and property defiantly recommend a visit if you have time to kill in Denver. If you have a strict schedule you wouldnt be missing a hell of a lot if you have to skip.
Our guide was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and cod answer every question we threw at him. Were from CO and I had never been here. Its a must see, even for the locals.
A beautiful museum that tells the story of an amazing and inspirational woman. A must see for everyone, especially those who live in Colorado. I had a great time learning about this historic location, and will surely return to share this experience with others!
Very cool. Lived in Colorado for years and never visited until today.
Great tour. Just the right level of info - not boring or too in depth, but covers the points of interest and answered all questions. Nice gift shop as well. Got job on rehab and maintenance!
So cool to learn about this amazing lady!! Getting a chance to see her home was a bucket list item.
Fascinating! There was so much more to Margaret Brown than I realized. Our tour guide did a great job, and they have a nice gift shop too.
I had a great experience visiting Molly Brown Museum. Im glad they keep the house after it has been sold and rent out several time.
We absolutely loved the Molly Brown house. It was by far my favorite attraction we visited. This was my second time in Denver and we went twice during the week we were there. I am a bit of a history nerd and Margaret Brown is a hero of mine; visiting her home was an amazing experience. The staff are all very knowledgeable and passionate and The home is beautifully and lovingly restored .I truly could not have asked for a better more positive experience.
She has a cool story and there are some aspects of the house that are cool but this was an okay experience
Was so interesting. Beautifilly restored to 1910
Lovely tour and interesting family history. The tour sparked my curiosity about the history of Denver.
This place was SO interesting. I really only knew Molly Brown from the Titanic, but that is really only a small part of her history. At first, I was a little put out that we had to do a guided tour, but I actually really enjoyed it. The information the tour guide shared is what really makes the tour. Im now really interested in reading and learning more about Mrs. Brown!
Well done tour. Very informative. The kids loved it.
Amazing & I enjoyed the sights, smells, the tour guide was so helpful and just a kind soul .I would recommend everyone go visit the Molly Brown house.
Great historic place to visit. Good insight on her life and her achievements .
100 years ago Women fought and won the right to vote. Thank you to all crusaders
It was closed for annual 3 day deep clean. However, the house is beautiful from the sidewalk. I will go back, Unsinkable Molly Brown is 1 of my fave musicals!
Fascinating, enjoyable experience. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Not to mention, Capitol Hill is a really cool, historic neighborhood, so find yourself a restaurant to pair with the tour and just enjoy the afternoon.
Very interesting tour! Our tour guides were very informative and provided tons of insight. The gift shop is so cute, everyone can find something here. Definitely worth visiting!
We stopped in on a rainy day in Denver and had the most amazing tour. If there is a woman thats lived a more interesting/fulfilled life than Margaret Brown, I havent heard of her. Our tour guide was so knowledgable & interesting, and you could tell he was passionate about what he was saying, not just memorizing a tour speech. Plan to go!
We had a fun time on this tour. Lots a little facts and there is a cute gift shop. It’s worth noting that you can only see the house on a guided tour there is no way to see it on your own. There is also a second museum in the basement. It was dinosaur themed when we were there
A AbSOULtly fun day very cool History But difently not Handicap accessible
Much better than the Molly Ringwald house museum.
