The McNichols Building is a large beautiful space that is centrally located and takes its duty as a public space seriously. They are fabulous partners for nonprofits, making the event as smooth as possible from concept to walk through to execution. My organization, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado, has put on our Statewide Forum here for two years now and we get rave reviews from attendees (as well as staff). I highly recommend checking them out for your next public event.
I love the lighting that they have every year and I have to go see it myself.
Its the park downtown. Its been the same for years but there is a tent city now, which is definitely interesting and entertaining. But its sad that all of those people are displaced because downtown is being re gentrified.
Pick the McNichols Civic Center for your next event. Its central location and dignified Neoclassical architecture will be just the first of many positive impressions for your guests. The building and its staff are embedded in the Denver community, featuring artists and expositions that celebrate local culture. We worked with Julie and Sarah on logistics leading up to the event and Sarah and Aaron for day-before and day-of coordination. They were fully accommodating to all special requests and attentive even when schedules shifted or unexpected difficulties popped up. Sarah stayed after-hours the day before the event to help me check AV when my flight was delayed and Aaron saved the day when we discovered an important workshop handout had been misprinted. Even the front desk security team was kind and helpful, remembering my name and assisting us in renting AV resources. The event space was gorgeous and, though we didnt have attendees to fill the room, the way the team set things up didnt feel bare or poorly attended. So much natural light, and conveniently placed bathrooms and elevators for accessibility. They even have a standing composting contract that manages organic waste, which was very important to our event.Id be happy to coordinate any future events with the McNichols Center and am confident that this team can handle whatever your event may throw at them. A huge thank-you to them.
Went for the Bourbon and Bacon fest 2020 and we had a blast. Although it was pretty crowded by the time everyone was in there, there was a ton to taste and see, and the venues layout helped us get to all of the different booths with relative ease.If youre going to something like that, its worth the extra cash to get in a little early and beat the GA crowd. VIP didnt seem worth it but thats more on the event than the venue.
We had a company party in this building and it was awesome! Not too large a space buy it was well lit, security and all. Great place for a large gathering, we did enjoy the place
Im having difficulty determining whether this facility is a mental health institution or a waste receptacle, please advise
Great event venue. Gorgeous and historic building, amazing art and very friendly staff! Theyre set up to handle a private event of any size really.
Interesting multi-use building. I have attended yoga, job fairs, concerts, and art exhibits here. As far as I am aware they do rent the property and it would accomodate a few hundred people easily. Centrally located but parking would be a pain. Take your bike or walk if you want to check it out.
I attended Denver Zine Fest as an exhibitor here in June, and it was the perfect venue for this kind of event. Plenty of space for vendors and shoppers and tons of natural light. I loved having a view of the park through a window behind me while I was working. Inclusive bathroom space. Beautiful building.
It is a beautiful event center but the inside is a bit sweeter than the outside, even when its all lit up.
This building is amazing. The architecture is stunning. And to think that this use to be the Denver library
The building does show age, but they have a nice space for events and art exhibits. They are a crucial setup area for the Denver parade of lights, and it does that job well.
We were surprised to find the public handicapped parking spots filled with vehicles without plates or handicap placards. Subsequently, we walked 3 plus blocks to the venue. I was in so much pain I thought why bother going downtown. I am not taking an uber or lift or cab. The building was set well. The vendors were for the most part had a well organized distribution and educational staff.
The Chicana/o Muralists Para Mi Pueblo Exhibit is a 5 Star Over The Top show. What was shameful is that building maintenance had chosen prime noon hours to essentially block Main front door access. Drills, building materials, electric cords - they would never do this at the DAM ! Poor planning and an insult to the community.
Im sure this building was once very beautiful, but an overzealous modernist renovation left it with screeching air ducts, crumbling plaster, and straight up holes in the wall. This building should have been restored from the inside instead of demolished and rebuilt in such a haphazard manner.
It was a very good place you should go to Civic center it has Civic things like people and Cuban food
I went for the Sugar Plum Bazaar featuring handmade items & artwork from local small businesses. My second time. The building is in great shape, although due to the 3 floors there are a lot of stairs. There are elevators too. I did enjoy seeing featured artists work on the walls throughout (current presentation is tattoo art). Parking is a little tough at that spot downtown.
This is a flexible space for all types of events. Ive seen everything from photography exhibits, art shows, fundraisers, the infamous Great International Beverage Festival (GIBF), and the list goes on! If you are looking for a place for your events definitely consider this beautiful, historic building.
Nice place to have events. Really awesome artwork.
Lovely venue. We attended Denver fashion week this year and had a blast.
It was a pretty cool place for the company party we had a good time
Nice event space. Interesting building but does not distract from the event itself. Restrooms are clean and adequate. Parking in neighborhood is a challenge and can be pricey. Generally safe but is a downtown.
Still damaged 2 weeks after riding on 6/29.
Nice walking park next to building
Interesting and unique events occur here, such as DINK, Indigenous Pop X art, and Warm Cookies of the Revolution. Ideal venue to host stimulating ideas and meet people from different backgrounds.
Looks cool from the outside I did not go in to check it out
Peaceful protest right now worth the cause I will be going again even after its all over
Attended a conference at this location. Architecture is tremendous. Restroom facilities are limited for a large group. Plan ahead on that!
Very open space, would really recommend for events ♡
An incredibly cool historical building. A must see
Spacious and modern. Attended Denver fashion week here and loved the venue
Cool historic place downtown. Flexible event space
The best Christian Nativity Scene Christmas display & The Taste of Colorado Free Concerts. Its all about We the People, for the People. Amen, Cmon
I work here. Its a beautiful place.
Great event venue with attentive staff in the heart of the city
Love to visit this place
McNichols is a great space for events and exhibits. Theres plenty space and multiple floors. There is no parking on site, however. Parking is available on the streets in the neighborhood.
Awesome space. Fun art and a nice almost industrial vibe. We were here for an event and definitely enjoyed the building.
I work at Footers Catering, and on behalf of the entire Footers Family, we love working at McNichols! It is a great modern and classic venue space with the flexibility of picking from three floors of event space. The multiple floor versatility allows for roving events and continuous momentum and excitement for your guests. We love being able to host weddings and events in the heart of downtown!
Amazing venue had a great time at paranormal this Halloween.
This is a monster venue... Three stories and lots of room on all three floors.
Attended a women in film luncheon. The place was great. The food was great. Everyone from the volunteers, to the food staff, and other attendees were all very friendly. Great day.The place is really cool looking too.It looks like they may have remodeled it recently. I liked it very much. Parking was tough to find. So we ended up parking at a nearby (2 blocks or so) parking lot for $16. Ouch!
Came here for a New Years Eve Party. It was open bar. I cant say anymore than that. Because I honestly dont remember.
Will be awesome, once the remodeling is completed...
Beautiful architecture.
I love this it is awesome for events :3
I have been to so many events at McNichols. They provide a great venue for local events. The Denver Startup week job fair was here in 2018. It was a great event with tons of job opportunities, great people, and beer. Best job fair ever?
This is one of the most unique places in the city. Open to the public, available for parties... awesome hometown fave!
I love how the city uses this building to contribute to local creativity, and theres always some cool late exhibit somewhere in there, too.
Always a something different and beautiful at night time
Sweet place to have a company party
Saw Concert and snowboarding competition in the park!
Was here for the Denver Zine Fest as an exhibitor. Very well lit, and amazing space.
Great space, close to downtown, a bit noisy but to be expected with the large number of people.
I was here for independent comic convention.Great building with easy acess
So nice, clean, safe and really a great place!!!
Beautiful art in a great space.
Fun experience for adults and children.
Its a great shame that the original interior of this building, which was built as the main Carnegie library in Denver, has been almost totally destroyed, but the building has been nicely remodeled into a spacious event venue and gallery space. Unfortunately there is virtually no parking of any sort in the immediate area, so if you are going to drive, plan on a long walk from your parking space. Walking, bicycle, or bus are better options.
I visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was pretty decent art on display, however, the building certainly has much more potential. The space was not utilized very wisely and most of the gallery is open floor. It might have been the current selection as the exhibits rotate often, but there is so much space available. Either some more walls or art in the middle of the floor is really needed to make the place feel more inviting. Right now it kind of feels like an empty building with some cool stuff on the walls. The hours are quite limited as well. If you are Im the neighborhood, it is a good way to spend a couple hours around the capital for free.
Happy youre askingIt was fun to see the bands the booths and the food. Im not happy with the beer because of not having alcohol free beer. Thank you
I always forget about this building, as it sits rather quietly in the corner of Civic Center Park across from the City & County and Webb buildings. I am reminded, though, when we attend a fundraiser here: it is probably the coolest event space in the City. Recently renovated and with high, exposed ceilings, the only knock on this space is that it is tough to get out of your Uber.
Just a great event center!
Gorgeous historic building, where lots of great exhibits rotate. Great building for use for conferences, events, etc.
Love it
Really cool events venue. Ive driven by it 100s of times... didnt even know it was there.
Was only here for a beer tasting but it was a nice experience inside the building. Interesting modern industrial look.
Quite possibly the worst customer experience in Denver. Valet that is full, phone persons that are rude, slow front desk, and late night room service that closes at 11.Will never stay at this hotel again.
Difficult to park. But nice event venue!
We went to hear a speaker. It was comfortable. Parking can be a problem. Its better to travel via public transport.
Always fascinating events. You will most likely be asked to check your bag/coat.
We really enjoy planning and coordinating events at this building! It looks amazing and the staff is top notch! From meetings with Antonnio to the day of with Nick. They take great care of their clients and vendors!
Beautiful building. Went there for a wine tasting and had a great time.
Secured The sure! Here 2 see Kelsey performance
All the staff are amazing. The Artwork is masterful. LOVE this place
Great historical event venue... staff is great to work with and very accommodating!
I had never been here before it was an elite beverage function things went pretty well
Worked a wedding reception here. Very nice venue.
Came here for the westworld food festival. The facility was well taken care of and the event was fun and well put together
Awesome venue. Great, open space. Nice location in town.
This was a good venue for a conference that doesnt want all the fees associated with a hotel.
