You cant go wrong when you visit Leon Gallery. They always curate the best in contemporary Denver artists and they bring in such amazing musical acts that its always worth stopping by. The intimate space has hosted talent shows, tiny cinema openings, dance parties and crazy amalgamations of music and theater.
An amazing group of people that made our Teaching Artist Pop up show such a success. Both gallery representatives were polished, courteous, and immensely helpful and patient to a group of teachers/artists, many of whom had never shown their art in public. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Lovely evening around awesome art and artists
Wandered in during the middle of the day. The photographs of Glenn Ross were hanging on the walls. They were all musicians--not portraits but gateways into their world of contemplation, angst, framed emotions captured in music-making minds on faces.Theres an edgy vibe here. Edgy in an beautiful thought provoking adventurous outside-of-its-comfort-zone kind of way, along with a sense of creating a real warm community with literary readings, live music along with celebrations to mark the opening and closing of each show.Oh, and I went downstairs to the bathroom--and smelled the nostalgia of darkroom chemicals! An added bonus.
Leon is a beautiful gallery, inside and out. They exhibit forward thinking art and artists, and push the boundaries with regards to curatorial practices. They also have yoga and music shows, they are extremely involved with their community. 100% stop into Leon.
