Still a hidden jewel in Daytona Beach. Beautiful photos, a variety of subject matter in an absolutely gorgeous exhibition space! So well done & worth a visit!
This was a wonderful place to visit. I enjoyed viewing the exhibits of the students who graduated. This can best be described as a gallery not museum. Its an awesome look into the creative and artistic process of photographers. Every time I go to Daytona I will have this on my list of things to do and see.
Seen some excellent pictures taken by student. Love seeing the world they others eyes then this is your spot.
It was truly an excellent experience. Mostly the moment I entered the museum the receptionist unmediated acknowledge me with a warm greeting. First impressions are the best. Janice Stark was truly informative about the museum in great details. I will definitely come back to watch the movies. However,I would like to recommend a musical theme month with all the old time favorite . For example Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire...etc.
Small, but very nice exibition by students
Very nice facility, staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the exhibit. Got to view and enjoy the Andy Warhol inspired exhibit. Great place to spend a rainy afternoon or change of pace from hanging out on the beach! Keep up the great work!
Very Friendly people. Great exhibits & unique childrens area. Absolutely love it!!!
Great gallery containing photos and photo adjacent work. The Docent was very knowledgeable.
Interesting little gallery. Always a question as to who sees what as being art! Some of the photography was mediocre and amateurish, but it was a student display. The Warhol display was interesting. Its a very small gallery, so you can plan on spending less than an hour theyre easily.
Free admission and wonderful exhibits. If you enjoy the art of photography, there is plenty to enjoy here. The student exhibits and the professional exhibits always have something to offer. Free parking and easy access. The building is beautiful and the facility feels almost new. Doesnt take too long to see most of the galleries, and you can come back another season and see whats new.
This museum is a hidden gem of Daytona Beach. Its free to enter, and they are constantly rotating their exhibitions. They provide a mixture of student work and established, well known photographers. So theres always something new and different to see. They also have a fantastic kid space with board games, books, and even computers with art programs that are very user friendly for children of all ages. So if you want to stop by, and you have a small child they can sit back in a bean bag chair and play some games. Id encourage anyone to go check it out. Its something to do and like I said before ITS FREE!
More of a gallery than a museum. Not what we expected. Interesting nonetheless.
Fabulous photographs on display - woman at front desk very helpful
This photo museum, a part of the Daytona, State College, Daytona Beach, Florida, two and four year photography program is not to be missed. Programs are almost daily and the two to three exhibits by internationally known photographers, often introduced by the photographer at the opening are available for about six weeks before changing. Exhibits by students, former students, and instructors are also regularly scheduled. Due to scheduled closing because of the schools calendar, you should access its website for visiting dates. There are some amazing photographers here. They students and alumni both exhibit and the range of subject matter and even medium taught me a lot.
