I always have a great time at DK Effect. Skeeball is usually an easy go to and with such a wide variety of games there is something for everyone. I had not be in for a while and noticed a large amount of new pinball machines which is always a good time.They now have food as well too.

Multiple bears on tap. Menu was very well put together with clear pricing. The games are fun and all we played worked well. Inexpensive way to kill time. Bartender was very friendly and informative. This place is great! Great bartender, really good food and all the patrons are nice. Special needs kids no biggie,; they treat them with respect. Inexpensive too. Cant wait for summer for that coolest ping pong table outside made out of some kind of car part. Yeah!!

It has a lot of old classic games to play and they are all free. Its great. The people are really nice and a great selection of drink. Not much verity on food though however but worth it.

ILLEGALLY DENIED MY SERVICE DOGWe entered to meet up with a friend. My dog did his job and stayed very close by my side. As we went to order drinks a bartender named Aubree asked to see paperwork. Not only is there no set paperwork but it’s also illegal to ask for proof. When I told her no, confused she said he couldn’t be here. Then went to go talk to a coworker. She said she called the owner and we just weren’t allowed near the tables where people were eating in one half of the arcade. I said, that’s also an illegal request, he’s allowed anywhere I am. I began to explain and offered to speak to the owner and she scoffed at me, rolled her eyes and said “fine, whatever” and walked off. This was a very triggering event for me and I began to shake and get very lightheaded so I left. I doubt anyone will do anything...

Went here on a family date with my husband and parents while visiting for Thanksgiving and had a blast. Music was fun, beer selection was awesome, ski ball was rockin, and I loved it so much, I bought one of the tees. We hope to definitely return when we travel again!

Fun barcade. Beer selection is solid and the DJ is always great with a mix for just about anybody. Some games are out if order from time to time but hey theyre old.

This is such a great concept for a bar, very nostalgic! They have 40 beers on tap that rotate along with a good selection of liquor. You can even order food from the Gioninos pizza next door right from the bar and they will deliver it to you. Kids are welcome but they do make it 21 and over after 8pm.We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

This place is great. Theres tons of classic arcade games, and pinball as well. The environment is very friendly and low-key. There are many ciders and beers on tap, as well as shots and delicious, original and geeky themed cocktails. Several games are free to play, but you get tokens for every drink you buy. You can also buy tokens without imbibing. Drop in and drop some tokens for a high score and some highly delicious beverages!

I used to be a good selection of games, some of them dont work, Donkey Kong wouldnt work, and Pacman wasnt available. I wouldnt recommend the food or the root beer, the selection of ciders and beers was excellent. Pinball machines are wonderful.

We love visiting DK! The brews are tasty and reasonable, the free to play is a mastermind! We love to crack our on some zombies slaying or alien shooting. They have so many classic games and the pin ball wall is fantastic.It’s been really great to watch this business flourish in Dayton. Keep up the good work.But maybe keep two staff on hand more often. Seems like it’s often being manned solo which causes a bit of a wait. But all the staff are so sweet and friendly it’s great.

This place blows my mind! An absolute hidden gem for the Dayton area, great selection of arcade machines and drinks. Will definitely become a regular here, spent 2-3 hours and only $20 for 2 people!

They have a good system for playing the arcade games, buy a drink and play free, the atmosphere is fun and they support local businesses. Overall great experience. Only and I mean only downside is that my favorite game has a slight bug in it.

The atmosphere was casual and low key. Drinks were ok. Beer selection was good. Tokens were given with each drink (10 to 12). I personally loved it. Playing games and drinking. Some of the games were not working. Vast majority were in good shape.

Always a great time! The arcade games are free play and the pinball is 0.75 a game. The staff there is fantastic! Always nice and willing to help you find the perfect drink. They have a rotating tap list that will please any beer lover! Also, they have a full bar and make some really good mixed drinks, especially on holidays with they specialty created cocktails!

Fun old school arcade gaming also including a few current pinball games. They have a good selection of craft beer and limited but good selection of liquor and mixed drinks. Bring your own food. Very friendly and responsive staff. Kids are welcome with families. The building is small and seating adequate if a bit limited. Its not fancy but is clean, well maintained. The same for the bathrooms.

Im not a gamer but I had a TON of fun with the old skool games! Not sure if the games are always free with drinks but they were when we went & that made for an even better time. Definitely going back & cant wait to take my out of town family there.

Atmosphere isnt quite my thing, but thats not their fault. Beer selection is good. Staff wasnt bad. Game selection was all right. Id go again.

Amazing fun time

Awesome new bar start up similar to 16-bit in Cincinnati. They have over 20 taps from breweries all over the nation and tasty creative arcade themed cocktails! You get 10 tokens for buying a drink which is a great idea for keeping business flowing. There are some classic games but a lot of them seemed to be slow or boring.Regardless of my opinion on the games staff is super friendly and ambiance is enjoyable. People of all ages and origins can come together here to relive old memories and start new ones. I removed a star for the amount of parking but I have high hopes upgrades will come in the future! Happy gaming everyone!

This was the first time I had been to this location and I was very happy with the experience. The beers on tap were good, and the mixed drinks my friends got were good as well. We got tokens with every drink we ordered (and every shot), so we were set for a while. If you tip your bartender and treat them well youre likely to get a few extra tokens to spend on the games. There was only one person working when we visited and you could tell he wasnt very happy about a certain group, just dont be rude or obnoxious and everyone will be fine. A good selection of games and a good place for a couple drinks and some arcade games.

This place has a super chill atmosphere, is very clean, and super fun.Plenty of pinball, old school arcade games with a very large craft beer selection including liquor. Ill definitely be spending some time here in the coming weeks.

The slimer was good...... Game choices are ok. I didnt like how one of the shooter games werent 2 players but it showed to be. One side of the skee ball game wasnt working. I was really upset that the centipede game controls stopped working in the middle of my play.The menu they have from whatever pizza place was REALLY good! Mediterranean pizza got accidentally given to us with our order. Among other things lol

My bestie held her husbands retirement party here tonight, and while the venue itself was absolutely fun, with a veritable smorgasbord of games ... well, as with anything else, if the service aint there, then the place sucks. Brandon, our bartender, let us in early to set up and went WAY beyond basic service, offering ways to help us make the party a huge success. I dont know if you guys realize it, but I hope you do -- what you have in that young man is a gold mine. Smart, funny, attentive to all customers, and super helpful. Keep staff like that and you may never have to close!
