This is a beautiful venue! And I truly believe that there isnt really a bad seat in the house. Im short so I try very hard to get the front row of a section, even if its the topmost balcony. Also, the highest balcony is actually pretty high - some of my friends feel it is too high. So if you have an issue with heights, you may want to stay on the Loge or lower. The seats are average - on the small side and close together, like every other theatre Ive ever been to.

The Schuster Center is not just for plays and symphonies. Went to a wine festival there 3 weeks ago I think it was 50 wines you could taste but I only drink red wine and I didnt try all of them. It was also a food included it was a great time definitely will go back next year I guess its a yearly thing in January. Expression for the VIP tickets which include is free parking seating and you got to try additional wines that were more upscale like from napa-sonoma area and there were Foods up there that or included. It was an extra $30 for the VIP part we were dropped off by my husband so the parking was an issue and a seating we didnt use but I did like the wine better in the VIP area.

Today we took our grandchildren to the new Tikes Gift Shop at the Schuster Center to shop for Christmas presents. It took me down memory lane. I grew up in Dayton and When I was a child I would go every year shop at The original Tikes. My grands loved it so much! They were excited to be able to shop and wrap their Christmas presents with the assistance of Santas helpers! Thank you Schuster for bringing back Tikes.

An amazing addition to downtown Dayton. Art in the city is always a great thing. They offer a variety of shows and events that you need to see. Everyone needs a reason to get dressed up and enjoy a night out. The Benjamin & Mariam Schuster Performance Center provides just that.Check shows and times, then get out and immerse yourself in as much culture that the city can provide.Street/metered parking is free after 6pm and on weekends. But it fills up fast during events. So get there early, and check out the city before your show.

It was amazing! Liberty Acres United Rescue was invited to be there with our adoptable dogs during the Nutcracker intermission and after the show! This is a gem in the Gem City. Dayton is lucky to have The Schuster Center for the performing arts. The acoustics are excellent no matter where you sit. I would suggest visiting the box office in the Schuster center. The purchase of tickets online add a significant fee to the cost of the tickets. There is a parking garage nearby and you might be able to find some on street parking.

The building is beautiful and the staff was courteous. My girlfriend and I went to a Peanuts-themed Christmas jazz show and everything was great. Despite being a minute after showtime, there was an abundance of staff directing and helping us find our seats. We also were credited the purchase price of an unused ticket for the show toward another sometime next year. Only warning would be to have your ticket out and ready when finding your seat. Will be coming back.

Walking through the outside doors, a person is instantly immersed in the beauty of The Schuster! Then one walks through the doors of the Philharmonic Hall! When the lights are dimmed for the performance, a very special feeling of oneness with the environment, stars sparkling from the sky entails! The program begins and the beauty of music, singing/dancing and the arts is emotionally overwhelming! The Benjamin and Marian Schuster Center experience is different and totally enjoyable each and every time! Love it!

Purchased 3 CATS tickets for Sunday, May 31st. They postponed the venue for mid-July. I requested and was denied a full refund. The person I chatted with advised me to sell my tickets. Why? Realistically, there will not be sufficient social distancing in that theater. Not acceptable!!! Had to give it a one-star. A no-star was offered.

Fantastic facility. Saw the nutcracker with the family for Christmas. Very fun. We were in the top, in the cheap seats, and we could see everything quite well. Im convinced there are no bad seats in the House. The rows are set at quite an incline so that you dont fight to see around the heads in front of you. The height made me a bit squeamish, but I got used to it.

I was told that there were no bad seats by a co-worker. Not true. I bought the first 6 seats in the first row of the upper balcony and I couldnt see details nor a third of the stage. We got there early in our excitement for our first ballet, but the lady at the door rudely turned us away. Its fine if were too early and cant go in, but politeness matters. Snack prices were okay and the dancers were beautiful, but the skewed and catywompus set for the Nutcracker was strange. We might return. idk

We visited this theatre for the first time a few weeks ago to see Book of Mormon, a touring broadway show that came through for just a short weekend run. It was a spontaneous evening for us as we found out Day of that they were offering a great deal for military families. We parked in their garage across the street for $8 and had an easy walk over. I will warn you that the lines can get pretty long upon entering. This is mostly due to their bag searches. So ladies, if you can go without a purse, do it. I’m so grateful I just happened to do that. This theatre is a decent size as far as number of seats. But I appreciate that the balcony wasn’t so far back that it was impossible to have a clear view.

We attended a production of Les Miserables and it was a wonderful experience. I agree with other reviewers that the highest balcony seats are very high--if you have issues with heights stick with the lower balcony. Even at the highest seat, though, we could all see the action on stage. The ushers and staff were very pleasant and helpful, and we found our seats with no difficulty. Parking was pretty easy and convenient to the venue. The acoustics are incredible, and the general layout is beautiful. My one peeve is, I wish they did not allow beverages to be brought in during the performance; several people brought in cups of beer and the smell was off-putting and I saw some people nearly spill open cups of beer on other patrons as they were getting to their seats. That aside, we we definitely be back for future shows.

I would watch another show here when I get another chanceI wasnt sure where parking was, so I parked a couple blocks away and walkedMy only critique is that some of the edge seats near the orchestra are hard to get to without squeezing by the full row, and that leg room is good while sitting, but doesnt give much room to squeeze past

I went to the Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science show. The theatre was beautiful, first time going there. The only downside was that I had requested an American Sign Language interpreter, they pretty much put my brother, sister in law and myself in an awkward position. The stage was right in front of us and the Interpreter was to our left and almost behind us. I had went to the Box Office to explain the awkward seating, they removed us from our seat, made us stand for 10 minutes then “House Management” seated us even further away from the Interpreter where it was pretty much straining my eyes after trying to squint and see the Interpreter and watch the show. I enjoyed the performance but wishes that the situation were handled differently. I was willing to give someone else our seats to sit closer to the stage so I can sit a little further back so I can be in the right view of the stage and the Interpreters. This experience won’t stop me from giving them another shot. (These pictures are zoomed in shots)
