Very nice theater with great acoustics. Getting in and out is very easy. Beer, wine and hard liquor are available. Seats are squeezed together like an airplane but I dont think there are any bad places to sit.

Came here with the wife to see Dorrance Dance Tap Dancing Company. The facility is beautifully made & quite the site to see. The only draw back is that is no leg room in the theatre seats. Less than Ive experienced @ other similar venues.

Always a great venue to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house. An army of ushers, and other staff means no lines to get in and to your seat. Well kept and clean. Always a pleasure to come here.

This is a beautiful building with amazing and attentive staff! It was a wonderful place to host our conference. The sound system was great, and the projector was large enough so everyone could see. The seats were comfortable and the building stayed cool despite all of the warm bodies inside.

In my college days, I was fortunate to perform in some of the finest venues in the country, including Carnegie, Severance, and Disney halls, and Im here to tell you: Mondavi is their acoustical equal in every way. Coupled with a raft of eclectic high-quality programming, Im incredibly happy to live near enough to enjoy this world-class venue. The artists are always interesting, and true to its namesake in the wine world, a classy selection of beverages are encouraged in the auditorium. It doesnt get any better than that.

Went and saw the Indigo Girls here. I showed up way over dressed thinking it would require a more formal attire.When doing research for parking on their website it says they accept card however after showing up they did not take card and we had to park elsewhere searching for permit machines. I would recommend calling for any question possibly, maybe to get a more accurate result. But comfy seats, great audio set up and super nice staff!

We went here to watch the Davis symphony. It is situated near the Davis arboretum, which is nice. The seating is comfortable. The staff is polite. The center is clean and it is easy to find parking. Overall, I was pleased with out experience at the Mondavi center and would and will go back.

Excellent acoustics, but the frequenters are mostly pearl-clad 65 year olds. The high prices keep young people away.

Is not possible to find acoustically better venue. The events brought in are very well know names, national, international. Classical, modern, dance... anything you might wish to see. Parking is very good. A wonderful place. There are two theaters... Jackson Hall is the large auditorium, the other one is a small intimate stage and events.

Great venue? Easy parking. Easy to get in and out.

I always enjoy when I go here. There have been some great shows, and the little coffee shop/bar inside is great too.

All the seats orchestra to 2nd level seemed excellent. We sat in f row, great seats. Saw bela fleck!! You can take your drink in also. Would definitely come back for another show.

Attended orchestra concert. Very nice venue; comfortable seating. The ushers were very attentive and helpful. They were very helpful to my 90 yo mom with mobility issues.

The body donor program was OUTSTANDING. Very moving, sensitive, caring. Onsite locale is beautiful.

The show and performance were memorable. But the ushers deserve to be recognized for the understanding of a wheelchair bound person. An usher helped take the wheelchair out of the car and transfer the person without putting weight on a wounded leg. Then reserved seats were exchanged allowing easy wheelchair access. It all made the night perfect.

Beautiful place to see music and the Arts. I went to see a screening of Monty Pythons with a post film appearance from John Cleese. Very enjoyable environment.

Beautiful and new performing arts center. The ushers can be incredibly nice and helpful. The whole experience is great. Drinks can be a bit on the pricey side (I payed $3 for an orange juice) but the performances make up for it.

Was walking the arboretum trail, lots of cute little critters running around, tons of ducks, squirrels, turtles, rabbits. I thought I saw a fish, but it might have just been another turtle.

We had a great time at this event. But i do have a complaint.The collage kids behind us started to kick my Mothers seat and blow in her hair. She is 70 yr. Young. Also kicked my seat and pulled my hair from putting there feet on the back of my Seat. I would expect this from 5 yr. Old but not people that are 18 and older. They should be ashamed. But this had nothing to do with the Mondavi Center. My mother loved seeing William Shatner.

I went to the 7 Fingers Cirque conducted in Jackson Hall. The performance was staged excellently and the visual/audio effects were dramatically perfect. It was a thrilling experience.

Okay, so heres the thing. I love the Mondavi Center. The venue is amazing for all of the different types of shows, but theres just one thing that really really frustrates me: the start times. Ive been to about 4-5 shows at the Mondavi now, and ALL OF THEM have started EXACTLY when it says they start, like right to the minute. This has been extremely problematic for me because many times I will get there on time, but the ticket line will be long enough that I have to wait a couple of minutes. Then when I get inside, even though its 7:01, and the show started at 7:00, they wont let me in. This is so utterly annoying because so many other places start a couple minutes after the selected start time so that people can still come in. If the Mondavi Center did this one thing, I would rate it 5 stars, but because it doesnt, Im rating it 3 stars. Its a really big dapper to your show experience when, even though you arrive on time, they still wont let you in.

Mondavi center is beautiful inside and out. The floorplan was easy to navigate, facilities well maintained and staff were efficient and helpful. Outside the UC Davis campus is a joy to walk around with the gardens and archetecture. Parking was close and plentiful.

The acoustics are excellent. The seats...a tad small.

Its a really lovely theater, and the parking is simple, right across the road. The prices are reasonable and the shows are top notch.

I was there for the final performance of the season of the Auburn Symphony. It was spectacular.

Very nice and large performance venue. Always a pleasure to rehearse and perform in for UCDSO. Also for all UC Davis students, the first concert is free! What a great opportunity to experience live music! So many great artists every season.

Mrs Mondavi i met her when i was 7 years old at her winery. My father was an artist from the beat generation and they were great friends. My father had a show on oct 1, 2001. During that time was very hard my father was single taking care of me and my sister and he basically risked it all to get to napa and show his art. She was wonderful and sweet and so humble. She treated us to dinner. Gave me white chocolate every time i saw her. And most importantly believed in my father....she really saved us in my eyes. My father denney hemens has passed away now..along with mrs.mondavi but ill be forever greatful for having experienced meeting her kinda soul. She is the type of woman we all should strive to be! Rest in heaven robert and margit mondavi !

First, Im so appreciative of the variety/styles of performances offered here...from Itzhak Perlman to Arlo Guthrie to Vijay Iyer. The folks who volunteer (door, seating, etc) are slways so friendly & helpful. The 2 of 5 stars missing? 1. Too often, the sound quality is poor...& theres been so many years to address that. Im not alone on this issue. Check out Sofia in Sacramento...outstanding sound...they got it right! 2. $9 to park? After the cost of tickets & fees (unless youre a member, I think) & really no other option except bike or walk, parking should be included...like the wonderful Harris Center in Folsom.Thanks for the opportunity to see quality talent in Davis, tho Mondavi will draw less of that talent if they dont address the sound quality. Time to catch up with Sofia & Harris...not to mention other venues coming in the future. Heck, there have been times Ive driven to the bay area for a better concert experience when that option is available. I was a member early on, but will not support Mondavi in that way without improvements. Thanks for asking!

Sorry, but the ridiculous wifi here has me lowering my rating. Its basically worthless, and Im currently relying on it to look up materials being referenced in lecture. Its inhibiting my ability to participate in class.As a theater its pretty cool. For me, its a classroom and Im not satisfied.Edit 1: its been a handful of days, wifi seems to be better...? If it stays better Ill give you back that fourth star :)Edit 2: its most days honestly. I just spent 3-4 minutes waiting for professor mski to fix his wifi mid-lecture. He was forced to log into the guest wifi, because the normal wifi here is so poor in the building that even the professor trying to load his slides cant always log in.Edit 3: Ive been trying to open the attached file, used in lecture, for 10-15 minutes now. Its only an 11.2mb file

Fantastic concert tonight! The sound quality was excellent, there is a huge parking structure right across the street ( you can reserve a parking spot when you buy your tickets online), and the theatre itself is fabulous.

This was such a wonderful place! So glad I was able to enjoy it. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic structure. Great shows, the Mondavi center is a very unique theater. I love the fact that this is part of the University of California Davis and it is very accessible since it is right of HW 80. It is a gorgeous place to go with a girlfriend or wife. Right next to it, there is a brand new museum that you should take a look too. Maria Manetti Shrem Museum.

Really nice venue for music and entertainment. Beautiful big room and really nice, versatile smaller theater space.

Saw the Trocks perform here. Beautiful venue! We were in a box, and it was a little less comfortable than I would have thought, because of the angle and quality of the chairs, but an amazing view. There are several bar areas outside the main hall, but theyre socially stratified -- you have to be this big of a donor to use... easier to wait until after the show and go elsewhere.

Let me count the ways: great sound, site line to the stage, beautiful design, amazing programs (just for example, going to see Vince Gilligan, producer/creator of Breaking Bad tonight. But saw the Pat Metheny Group there a year ago - and for like $25!, And it was one of the best shows Ive ever seen or heard). Its worth going just to be in the place, let alone whatever the great program is.

We have been here several times, always a pleasure. The venue has great amenities - plentiful toilets, pretty good concessions - the rice crispie bar is to die for! - decent wine.....Very complicated seating plans, not well sign posted but they do have a lot of ushers which makes things a little better.House manager was recently extremely helpful when I was sold a ticket by a guy outside..... Cant fault them on customer service.Generally, for events that you travel by car to, youll have to pay $9 for parking, but with the museum and the grounds, its no hardship.comfortable seats and great acoustics - Shames the Sacramento Community Center, I can tell you, in a lot of ways.

This is such a beautiful venue, and the bring in some great acts. I saw the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain play here in 2014 and it was a magical show. We seated in the lower box seating, stage right, and our view was amazing. Afterwards, the Center hosted a brief meet-and-greet with the musicians for box seat holders and that was super fun, a highlight of that year.
