One of my favorite stores in Davis. If you are in Davis and want and or are interested in having an aquarium get your stuff from here! They have Salt and freshwater, rocks and some wood, a good amount of accessories and a fine selection of fish.

They have an amazing selection of healthy and beautiful fish with knowledgeable staff who have your best interest at heart. I was there for my freshwater tank and there really was no shortage of anything I needed for my tank. Absolutely better to stock your aquarium with fish and supplies from this store than any other!

Great service. Tested our water sample and explained what we needed to do to get the proper phosphorus level in our water.

Dont bother going into big name pet stores! Your best option is Rivers to Reef not only do they have a wide variation in fish but also in plants and other accessories. Nate is very helpful plus he was very patient & nice with my child. Will be going back for sure!!!

A really nice independent fish store. They have a good selection of both fresh and salt water fish. The guys know their fish, and have made many helpful suggestions.

It seems that the store is recuperating from the switch over to their new location. I only went in for their freshwater fish and plants. It seems that they have decent variety and quality-- I saw no algae in their tanks and no ich in their fish. They have various tanks that are not occupied and I hope that these tanks will soon be stocked with other fish. The plant variety is very sparse. They have the tank space, but simply not enough plants. Hopefully in a couple of months they will increase their variety. I was approached and allowed to browse freely, which I really enjoyed. A few starts are knocked off simply due to the low variety. If you are looking for common fish and plants, this is the place as of 6/19/2018. Hopefully in the future this can also be a place for advanced aquarists in Davis.

By far the best aquarium shop in Davis and one if the nicest Ive ever been in! As a planted tank enthusiast, I can honestly recommend rivers and reefs to friends who are interested in starting a fish tank due to the clean setup, high quality fish, and amazing plant selection. Dont go anywhere else, trust me!

Like a mini version of Monterey bay aquarium. Absolutely amazing! Great prices, amazing/healthy fish, and a wonderfully helpful group of people running the place. I will definitely be getting all my aquarium stuff from here once I move.

Not really clean. The selection is kinda limited and the quality of fresh water plants is the poorest I seen in a while. Not to mention the workers there look at me like Im gonna steal something. The prices are absurd $10 for a boesemani thats highway robbery. Your better off going to aqua works or aquarium depot dont waste your time here.

I go here for all of my fish, and most of my fish supplies - the owner is very nice, patient, and knowledgeable! Willing to work to get you what you want! Highly recommend Rivers to Reef.

Came out from Sac just to check out the new location for the first time maybe buy something new for my tank, however, even though its Wednesday at 3pm and the an LED sign says OPEN lights are dim inside and door is locked. I know emergencies come up sometimes when you have to shut a business down unexpectedly, but at least put a sign on the door. I even waited a bit just in case someone was just grabbing lunch, nobody came. Very disappointed. I think Ill stick to the dozen fish stores in Sac. Co.

All the livestock were very well taken care of. Their staff is incredibly helpful and kind. They have very good looking livestock and are excellent at maintaining them. I bought a nerite snail and three amano shrimp here and the snail is going strong. I lost two shrimp but only because I forgot to close the lid. Excellent store and I will be a regular.

Great staff to work with. They are extremely knowledgeable about the aquariums and fish. I would highly recommend them to any aquarium enthusiasts.
