We just enjoyed an awesome birthday party for my 7 year old. Iilena was very helpful and made the party so much fun. I would highly recommend painting with a twist for any age.
What an amazing place. I had the pleasure visiting and enjoyed all the amenities. The staff was beyond helpful and accommodating. Everyone made it a point to welcome me, thank me, and make sure I was enjoying my visit. There are so many resources in one location. I enjoyed the event tremendously and loved every moment. The recycled fashion show was awesome. Thank you for keeping the arts alive in Broward County. Looking forward to many more opportunities to join such an awesome team.
This place is underrated . Best kids museum around, not that big but there’s still plenty to do . My daughter loves this place and we will be returning .
Great place for children!! 100% childproof. Let them be free and enjoy. Our little one loved it so much he didn’t want to leave.
Nice place for family time. Kids enjoy a lot and they also learn new things. We also enjoy at the library a nice time reading books.
Great kids museum where artists show off their fun exhibits to inspire a new generation.
We had here the birthday party for the kids and was awesome. The staff is very friendly. All the areas are well maintained.
Great place to spend a day. Soany fun things for kids to do. The video games exhibited were distracting for my 6yo. InnerSpace exhibit is super fun, glad we found it tho it is probably easy to miss.
Went for a birthday party and ended up spending all day here with my 4 and 3 year olds. Lots to see and do. Clean place, friendly staff. Annual membership is worth it.
Just had my first museum show there .. hope u like it
Excellent museum for kids just dont hold a birthday party there. The arts and craft project was lame with little participation allowed, the in house caterer could not get their act together and the staff lacked enthusiasm and energy. The managers on duty, Kate and Tito did little but apology. No action was taken by them. Tito promised a price reduction because of the continuous lack in service but when the bill came no reduction was on the bill. The coordinator, Kate was impossible to reach the week before. My wife called numerous times and she never returned the call until the last possible day. The staff was so out of it that they referred to my son as the birthday boy numerous times even after we explained his name, which was also written down on their sheets. Last year we held the party at the Broward Museum of Discovery and Science. Excellent staff:excited, enthusiastic and well prepared. Excellent projects as well. Much better choice. It is time for a serious redo of the procedures and training at YAA.
Very fun and unique place! My kids had an absolute blast! We had ages from 3-10. They were a little bummed, however, that there was a huge section that was for only ages 5 and under- and it had some features that my older kids would have loved to do- like the water table etc.. so that was a bummer that they couldnt go in there. But overall, a great time! Not a super huge place- we spent about 2 hours there.
This was the perfect rainy day stop for our 1.5 year old. Lots of variety for all ages.
A great place for children to run around and explore. There are many activities and other interactive exhibits. The section for smaller children has an Alice in Wonderland theme.
This is a great place if your kids are under the age of 8. Mine were totally bored but I could see if being nice for a family with little ones. It’s air conditioned and has lots of hands on activities and the wave playhouse is very cool. But if your kids are older don’t bother. It’s not worth the ticket price.
This place is so beautiful & amazing. Went here on a school trip with my son & his school. Absolutely love it. We are going to go back soon. So much fun & again the art & letting the children be able to play, explore & enjoy themselves is a rare place to find. We love it!
Overall amazing ! We scored a groupon at 44% off and we just went to check it out ! My 2 year old loved it and so did I
This museum stimulates the imagination of children 2-12. No do not touch signs here - only invitations to enter and explore the multiple choices for water play, drumming, video and stencil drawing, puppet making, maze crawling, quiet zones too. Clean, well run, friendly. Small room for eats another small gift shop. Beautifully thought out. Did I say we loved it?
Excelent time whit my kids
Amazing museum! Love the events, and adore how child friendly! Keep up the incredible, compassionate work l
Great place for kids and for a day where you need some activities.
Good museum...tricky groupon. WATCH OUT. the groupon prices dont make sense. The museam is at $15 each regular admission. Not $28. So why use groupon? Wierd
Awesome experience to hang out with family and friends. Adult friendly and great space to work while the kiddos play!
This place used to be awesome. I used to love this place and I even had a one year membership about 3 years ago. My son loved it and so did I due to the fun and interactive areas. However, after not going for about 2 years due to my son starting school, I decided to go back. Guess what?....nothing has really changed! There are two main areas (“exhibits”) that change every so often and everything else pretty much stays the same. I understand it’s not feasible to change everything but at least keep the areas presentable. The ponchos in the water area were torn and some could not be worn, the market had many missing items, etc. A lot of the areas had many missing things. A little maintenance, coat of paint, and replacement of key items goes a long way! I understand kids are kids and they wear things down but there’s a point someone should say “let’s see what we can do”. I did not give less stars because I agree that if your child is young, such as mine, then it can provide a day “out” that keeps your child relatively busy. I see now why it’s on Groupon every week. For the Groupon rate, it’s worth it but I don’t recommend a one year subscription.
They use All Stop Vending as their vending provider. Michael and Bernada are thieving trash, they stole my last paycheck just bc I quit. Please consider switching providers, they are NOT people reputable businesses should be associating with. They also laugh at your calls for support behind your back.
Me and my daughters have been coming here for 2 years. We love it! Both of my girls learned to appreciate, create art and play well with others. The staff at YAA is trully amazing. I highly recommend it to a family with young children.
Love coming here with my kids. Theres a craft activity each corner you turn. Lots of learning opportunities. Very clean facility. They have a little cafe but I havent tried it yet. They also have a gift shop. Will definitely return again & again
Browards best place for young kids on a rainy day! If you live in the area, the annual pass is definitely the better deal.
I used to come here as a child and I recently brought my son because they had a great groupon and he had a blast! They had several areas for the kids to run and play and burn off some energy. We went during spring break so it was very busy and they had special activities that day. They had nice exhibits and over all the kids really enjoyed it. It is nice to be able to take my son to places I enjoyed as a child and see him as well.
Found out about this place recently and I was greatly entertained! They had beautiful works of art and displays for everyone to crowd around and enjoy. I recommend coming here with kids because they provide many fun areas for them to play around and have a great time.
My eldest loves coming to this museum and library and easily kept her entertained for nearly three hours. She enjoyed many of the exhibits and all the other kids to play with. I dont know how often the exhibits are changed out but I would like to see them changed.
I Love this museum. Is very fun for kids. Is very colors.
Cool place with lots of potential and plenty of activities. However, it is not the cleanest environment and it seems to be understaffed. Forget the snack bar as it takes over 45mins for a hot dog. The girl takes your order and then goes to the back to prep it herself. Lots of people getting refunds while I was online waiting 20 mins for a coffee. The toddlers area looks good but it was empty of toys.
We love this museum!!!! It’s amazing and the kids always have a blast!
Love this place. Been a few times. The updated location is completely different than the old one. Clean, and many different things for kids to do. The staff is very entertaining. The only reason I took away a star is because it could be a little safer, but parents could watch their kids a little better as well. :) .
Great place. Took grandkids, ages 5 and 2 had so much fun. There are things for many ages there, you can spend the day there. We only planned on a couple hours, wish we had planned more time.
Our first trip two years ago was great. lots of activities and the food in the sandwich shop was good. We made the time this trip to visit again. The interactive exhibits had no supplies. The music/sewing machine exhibit was cool, but only 3 of the machines were operative. The sandwich shop didnt have the ingredients to make half the items on their menu. Our daughter got bored, we left after two hours
Very cool and interesting museum . My 6 year old son enjoyed it specially the water activities . My 9 month old loved crawling on the fuzzy carpet exhibit
My son loves this place! There are a lot of fun things to do there. Its a really great way to spend the day. The kids will be busy all day, great for all ages.
This is always a hit with it family.. we have been here for times. We love in Massachusetts, with some good childrens museums but actually bought a pass here because it was so awesome. Our eight year old loves climbing on the wave sculpture. Our four year old enjoys all the hands on arts and crafts parts. We also like the giant teapot, drumming, and metal magnet building activity. The exhibits are mostly bright and clean. There was nothing broken on the multiple times when we went. Thats saying something!. Stimulating environment without all the focus on screens that other museums have. Not too crowded on a Thursday afternoon.or Friday They could maintain the exhibits a little better, e.g. fix the chains on the wave, add more signs to explain why the exhibits are cool, replace lost pieces. The carpentry details and aesthetics are high quality craftsmanship. When you pay for entrance to somewhere you expect a full day, fun, experience and this museum has never disappointed us. There are still parts of the museum we havent explored.
The museum staff and exhibits are great for my little ones. Love coming with my grandchildren. I’m giving the museum 4 stars only based on how rude and overly priced the sandwich shop staff is.
Great place for family and kids! Lots for the children to do. Exploring and learning at its best! Friendly staff and great for Birthday Parties. I love that they did a craft with the children and allowed us to use the private room for lunch and cake. Plenty of parking and a great photo-op by the LOVE signage. It was a very enjoyable experience for all. Thank you, YAA!
Drove quite a ways with 4 kids to go to the museum. Upon getting in we were told the museum was closed for a special event. There was nothing posted online about it. We probably saw 20+ families get turned away while we were there... Would have been nice if there was at least a sign in the parking lot so we didnt unpack 4 kids just to have them be disappointed. Very poor planning.
I love this museum and I have been going since I was very young and there is a lot activities to do here. It perfect for children who dream of being artist. This place has given me ton of inspiration. And its so colorful young ones will be attached instantly.I also once had a birthday here and it was awesome.
Awesome museum showcasing the beautiful creations of our children. What a great way to celebrate the emerging artists of the new generation. First class facility.
This place for children is amazing . they will have A really good time there
Its a huge museum with a designated area for under 5. This equals plenty of running space to get the babies tired! I think however that kids over 5 would get more out of it so if you are paying full price for younger kids you may feel disappointed. I wish they would clean the foam shapes better and add more trains to the track in the toddler area.
Great museum ! My 2 year old loved it ! There was a lot for him to see and learn ! Would take him there again soon .
Fun play place for young children. Themes change occasionally when new artists come in teaching new forms of art ect. Can become costly but check for pricing before bringing a large group. Great field trip location for schools .
This place is the best. It is a fun day for both parents and kids alike. The exhibits are rotating and completely interactive. There is a branch of the library on site as well as a gift shop and small cafe.
It was nice. Good value but not a lot of exibits. Good for smaller children. I did like to see the art from middle and high school students.
Absolutely one of the best places to take young kids hands down you will not be disappointed very interactive loads of things to do they have a cafe to purchase foodstuffs and its a nice shaded place you can sit down and eat and/or if you want to bring your own lunch and save money you can do that as well. The library is very nice as well.
Loved the place! The super duper grub cafe was great! Really want to know how they make the jam for the BLTT!
Fantastic place to take the kids for all ages. Well supervised and importantly clean. Its not free but if youre invited to a birthday party your not paying.
We bought the annual membership and it was the best money spent. My girls love coming here and makes the perfect place to go for weekly playdates. Everyone is real nice there as well.
The museum is wonderful, kids love it. The only thing that bothers me is that there is no benches or sofas or coaches in the area, where kids are playing, and parents are waiting. It used to be several sofas there, but now they are gone. It is not comfortable for parents to stand and wait.
Did you know that theres a branch of the Broward County Library that shares the building with the Young st Art Museum? The museum, itself, is for young kids so if you have older kids, they can enjoy the library while Mom or Dad takes the younger ones into the museum. The library has an impressive section of Manga and Graphic Novels as well as plenty of computers. The Young at Art Museum also has a cafe and some outdoor seating so you could visit for hours. When you drive to the museum, look for a small brown sign pointing to the road where you turn. The museum does not have a sign that faces State Road 84 and can be tricky to find.
Great for kids user 10. Need more staff around play Area’s and artwork to facilitate experience
Nice joint for regular visits on rainy or otherwise inclement weather days. Bring food and coffee or plan to eat and drink away otherwise. You have to do the membership to make it regularly affordable. Make sure to keep your membership card on you as their information systems are not the most modern.
Great place to take the family to. I’ve been coming here for a while. Both when I was a little kid and in taking my own classroom here. Defiantly planning to come back.
Lots to see and keep the kids entertained while learning new things too. I cant speak to cost my employer has a membership that includes the nanny. Which l think is a fantastic option the museum offers. Have to go a few more times at least, didnt see everything yet.
Great childrens place!!! A lot of fun and discovery setups, wonderful space and many young at art people!
Wish they would change the exhibits more often. Otherwise a nice place to take the kids on a rainy day. Great camp programs.
Its good for expanding your childs creativity and mind, as it not only doubles as both a good library and even better art museum, it also focuses on the environment and how children of the modern day can save it. This place is a MUST for your children and I officially rate this place the certified 5 stars of perfection.
Today was my last day as a member. Membership is not worth it. This place is worth going YES but only once a year, and they have specials continuously like Halloween, if you go with costume the kids come in free and adults pay like 10, and this events are not even packed so PLEASE SAFE YOUR MONEY and wait for this specials if you really want to visit. About 8 months ago or more when they modified the outdoors area i told them about a VERY sharp edge of wood with the one every kid in the play ground hit their heads. I told them 3 times, i offered to put a pool noodle myself with tape since thats all it needs but to the day they havent done anything and they didnt let me fix it either. The stations with shape sorters, books, legos, hand puppets, are all incomplete, obsolete, broken or VERY DIRTY. The train no longer works with sounds as it used to. The stations that are supposed to have crayons, chalk, colored pens, shapes, paper, are empty or luckily with one broken thing. The wax carving statue hasnt had the tools to carve for many months now. They just put a tv right in front of the wave playground with really shocking stimulating WEIRD images and sounds, VERY DISTURBING for every sense. The station to do art by the marble runner has had already cut circles and 3 old crayons for months, seriously? You guys used to put markers, scissors, paint, and many other materials 1 year ago when i was stupid enough to purchase a membership. Theres always plenty of stuff walking around doing nothing, maybe you guys could maintain the stations full and working so they could have actually something to get busy with. I could stay awake all night telling you all the things that dont work, but the list is too long. It is a good place to stay a couple of hours once in a lifetime and thats it. No wonder why every time i go its empty, that was probably my favorite thing! I could actually connect and play with my kids and let them free because since theres no people theres nothing to worry about,.it is only full when schools go with camps specially during the summer. Oh and the stuff that work for the museum are VERY nice, they made me believe they were going to take care of the sharp edge but they didnt, but they are very nice sstill.Sadly, the guard lady is the rudest person in the world, my kids would always say hi, she wouldnt mind to reply, if she needed to tell you something she would say it with a really angry face and tone, try to stay away from such bad energy. If you go for a one time visit you wont notice all this but at the second visit you would already notice all this and more.
This is a really cool place for kids.Besides the art exhibits, there are interactive activities that are great learning opportunities as well as entertainment like puppet shows.Kids can have parties here and create their own art works on their own canvas. There is also an annual recycled fashion show with some really interesting looks made from recycled materials. In short, there is something for everyone.
Great place for kids. Features multi-sensory exhibits, a library, and a playground. There is a cafe, clean restrooms and plenty of things to do.
Wonderful place to bring young children. Basically an interactive childrens museum with rotating art based exhibits every few months. Really fun!
We come here every week and my 2 year old loves it. There is a Broward County Library inside too
I gave this museum two stars because of the cleanliness. I come her daily because of the preschool inside of YAA. Over the past few months, this place is slowly getting dirtier and dirtier. The parking lot has several diapers just thrown around. What happened to the janitorial services? There are towels, shoes, baby bottles, and pacifiers, that have been in the parking lot for months. The courtyard is disgusting, the amount of bird poop on the tables is gross. I would not want my child eating at those tables. Why isnt the staff cleaning the tables and chairs. The floors could use a power wash. If I didnt like my childs preschool teachers I would leave!
Their recycled fashion show is amazing.
Great place for the kids to learn and have fun. Fun for all ages
Been there as a kid and I loved it. Great place to motivate curiosity in kids.
This art museum is incredible! Children can play, learn, create art. They even have adult classes in digital art, photography, painting and much more.
Love this place. This is a great place to spend the day with the kids. The exhibits rotate and there are live animals, a lay area and an outdoor science park.
Wow. I have passed by the young at art museum everyday and didnt realize what an awesome place for my kids it is. Our daughter is I the ceramics class and she loved it. Then we walked Aarons the museum. Its packed full of fun and educational things. A great pace to take the kids! You got to check it out.
Had my neices birthday party here - it was VERY FUN! Tons for kids to do here and the staff was friendly, professional, and very careful with the kids!
It was ok, the kids had fun (6 & 9yrs) but there wasnt much to do.
My son and I really enjoy this place. Lots of creative activities to do. It also has a library. Great for a Sunday funday.
Ive been here a few times and this past weekend I took my daughter because we havent been in a while. I felt terrible. Nothing was working like the buttons on the displays werent working. She was bored. I spoke to someone in the front and She said because they dont have enough staff to monitor everything but why have people pay $36 for a family of 3 if things arent working. We werent happy and probably will not be back.
3.5 yr old triplets!!!! Had to Bribe my kids to get them to leave peacefully!!! Great experience
Visited the library located there. The best location for the young reader. Books have the AR level for easy access.
Review: 5 Stars - Loved It_____________________________________________I love this place! Theres plenty of things to do here. Theres a store for little kids, a library, an ice cream shop, and there are a lot of other activities to do here. I have no complaints I totally recommend this place!
Great place for kids. A must go. We went first time for a birthday party and love it. Every other saturday since.Fantastic!
The old place was so much better. This one is poorly laid out, not much for older kids and not safe for younger.
I was at the cafe most of the time there. Stop by check them out. Its a library and also kid heaven. Great for kids 2 to 10
Quality place and a great addition to the community. Cool in alot of ways for both children and their parents.
Great place for the kids, they play and learn at the same time. They have a lot to offer it just needs some maintenance.
Great place for knowledge and entertainment of kids. Beautiful exhibitions.
Wonderful place for kids to play. They have so many variety theme rooms and are constantly changing the themes but keeping favorite themes. Some of the staff are rude with kids so make sure you stay with your kids. Also, you have to go outside museum to get something to eat. Overall, its a fun place for to visit !
Amazing place for little ones to explore and learn. All hands on fun from a play kitchen, water tables, sandbox. Check sceduals for live music and interactive motion play.
Go to art museum for young kids. So lucky to have this hidden Treasure in Broward.
Fun for toddlers through middle schoolers but very niche to that age. Lots to see and do. Very hands on.
I love this place it’s so great for the kids and it keeps them busy
Was my sons first time ever attending a camp. Hes 10 years old. He attended camp there for a week to make Art and learn about Art. It was the most horrible experience we have ever gone through. He attends a private Catholic School and has straight As and has NEVER had any issues EVER from Kinder until now. He made acquaintances with a another boy in his camp and an issue had a-raised. The other boy that lived in the trailer parks behind the building had called another child that was in the class (black boy) and they accused my son as well.... and WE ARE SPANISH. The only reason I choose that camp is because we love ART and it was on the way to my job... we are coming from Weston. The way they handled the situation was low, dirty and unprofessional. My son tried to explain to the teacher that he did not call the boy that name that it was the other boy and she wouldnt listen to him. She accused him, pressured him into saying that he did. The teacher is a bully. The whole museum are bullies. Amanda and Marie the directors of camp were extremely rude and unprofessional. They had takin my son out of his class and put my son in a class with the little kids on the last day. I immediately went and pulled him out. The director, Amanda even insulted my son and called him a bully. So to sum it up. You get what you pay for Ive learned. Next time, I will do my research on the surroundings of the location. Based that that Museum is in the neighborhood off trailer parks and low income housing. The museum is dirty, the camp directors are dirty and they owe my son apologies. If you want your kids around trash camp attendees and trash employees (Scum) then please attend this camp or museum.
One of the best places for children in Broward County! There are so many interesting kinesthetic activities to engage in so its the perfect place for kids to let their energy out while learning. You can spend an entire day in one room. The museum is very safe, but it will require you to be a parent. This means that you will keep an eye on your child at all times, as well as partake in some of the activities.
