The best store I have found for my saltwater aquarium needs. The corals look fantastic and they have a great selection, all with unbeatable prices. The fish stock (both marine and fresh) is also very impressive. Clean tanks and friendly staff — check it out and you will be impressed!

Knowledge from staff and plenty of stock with animals regularly sold/replaced makes this a go to place. However, it is best to read about any reptiles or aquarium inhabitants before going to a pet store so that you have an idea of what you want and how to care for them. Alot of reptiles and aquatic animals cant live together and may have special dietary needs. Talk to them about how far you are taking them, tank size, animal compatibility, etc. Setting up and caring for these animals takes as much time as a dog if you want them to live long, happy lives. ;)

I was just visiting but it was a nice fish store. Highly rated in the area but they had a good selection of fish and food. Could use more plants but I think thats personal preference!

Well kept, good selection of corals, saltwater fish, and reptiles. Freshwater fish selection is decent, and Im assuming would be bigger if they had more room. Tons of quality product too.

Very helpful staff, especially in helping me get my first tarantula :D I enjoyed talking to them especially because there is always an employee seeking to help you. Staff knows what they are talking about and have a wide selection of beautiful animals. I highly recommend this pet store.

I bought 40 bucks worth of fish . they wiped out my hole tank with fungus and I had to move them to quarantine tank and they all died. I dont take fish back but this time I did cause it was all there fish. The guy told me I needed to w8 6 to 8 weeks to set up a tank. This is not true and I w8ed 3 weeks with medium witch is more than enough. So he gave me store credit but said I cant spend it for 2 weeks cause it was my fault. So he was rude and I will never go again

They are so knowledgeable and prices are great on crickets and super worms. (Thats what I got). Ive been going to them for years and have yet to be disappointed.

I stopped in a few days ago, most of the tanks were really overstocked, multiple large fish in what looked like only 20Gs except the feeder fish that were crammed into much larger tanks, I know it’s temporary but I saw many fish being relentlessly chased by their tank makes and many of the fish looked borderline sick. There were dead shrimp in the tiny containers they were in and all the bettas were in the same style containers and all looked sickly. Went to the reptile side to hopefully see something better but all the water and food dishes had tons of dirt and poop in them, dead crickets everywhere, and the animals I saw didn’t look that great. Was hoping for a nice store based on reviews while I was in town for the day

I am usually leaving bad reviews. But this store is amazing. The staff are so nice and knowledgeable its great. They are personable and communicative. They have NO problem answering questions. Im at this store like two times a week getting feeders for my pirhanas. This is the only store that I go to.

Quick trip in and out and helpful answers/suggestions for my first ball python! Ill be back for sure

Theyve come from a happy, healthy and clean environment at Aquatic Environments.Being a specialty store, prices arent the best, but unbiased recommendations and genuine expertise from employees make it worth your time, buying or not.Their team knows whats best for the health of your pets, which in my opinion, is what matters most to responsible aquarium and terrarium owners.

I have been coming here for years. Clean and healthy tanks of fish, reptiles such as snakes, lizards, and turtles, amphibians like salamanders and frogs, and even some arachnids! Even if you arent coming to purchase you should stop by; they have a gorgeous array of corals, salt and fresh water tanks to view! Best aquatic store in the QC!

Aquatic environments is a good, well kept store. It is the only well-kept one in the Quad City area, imo. Things can get a bit pricey, but I normally accept this cost as a trade off for the quality. But, today, I tried purchasing a small box of 5 Red Cherry Shrimp for $3.99 (labeled, Red Cherry Shrimp, $3.99), which I had done in the past. The shrimp I had previously bought were about $1 each (4 for 4 total) and I got some guppy grass along with the purchase. Imo, this was a very great deal. Today was different.I was told that this would be $3.99 apiece for the shrimp and an extra $20 for the small patch of moss that was included in the bottom. $4 per wild type RCS is borderline criminal, let alone $40 for the whole thing in total.There was also a small container full of mostly-dead duckweed for $8. Duckweed, AKA the herpes of the aquarium world, is worth eight dollars according to this place! Teskes will give it to you for free!Im not sure what changed with this place, honestly...but I hope it doesnt stay like this.

The only place I go to for salt water fish and accessories. They understand and take care of their animals (fish and reptiles). You can bring in water for testing, you can purchase water and live rock on site. Phenomenal selection of healthy corals. They sell freshwater fish and plants as well. If youre a beginner or not, they help guide you through the process to keep your tanks live and well. They have a wide variety of food and rock, plus any supplies you can think of. They also sell frags so you can start this hobby on a budget and watch them grow.

Pretty cool store big variety of aquatic needs but this place is always packed full of people and the store is too small they need to upgrade to a larger building so people can actually move around

I used to really love this place. I purchased my first snake there. However, she was sick, never grew, and died within less than a year. I went for another snake. They seemed fine until I realized the snake had an RI. And to add, later this week I visited the place to buy mulch and saw all the reptiles were having patchy sheds, the ball pythons seemed to have injuries, and a blood python had wounds on his tail.I dont think Ill be buying snakes from there anymore, which is sad because its hard to find healthy reptiles in this area.

My family and I enjoy coming to see all the beautiful fish. We got a Bala Shark from here and he’s doing wonderful. Plan on making more purchases in the near future. Staff is on point with helping with anything you need.

First time ever at Aquatic Environments, stopped in because we were curious about what to do with our 75 gallon aquarium. They were very knowledgeable and willing to help. They offered great ideas and had demo tanks on display with different setups to show what can be done with great labeling and descriptions so you can understand what it takes to create a tank like you see.The smell.Why do I mention the smell?Theyve got dry tanks, full tanks, saltwater, freshwater, reptile, amphibians, shared environments, planted tanks, pond tanks, feeder fish tanks & more.You cant tell walking in that there is that much tank diversity based on the smell, it smells clean.I wish I took pictures, but youll just have to go see for yourself, its nicely arranged, very clean and well kept.I was very impressed & will be returning to give them my business.

Their reptile enclosures are full of old crusty urate, fecal matter, and the corners have mold growing in them. The snakes have mites so bad that you can see them crawling on the surface of the snakes.When brought to the stores attention they instead of rectifying the problem they chose to ignore it.
