If it wasnt for the washed out trail bridges I wouldve given this park a 5 star for biking. I really enjoyed the short paved uphill challenging bike trail that is located to the right of the park restrooms though. Fortunately, it was not affected by the flood. I highly advise that you check your brakes out before you make your way back because youll definitely need them .

This is always a nice place to go. Nice trails, nice views of the river, great fishing and excellent boat ramp access. They have added alot to this park to make it a cozy place to just sit and take in nature or enjoy a bike ride or walk.

Love to fish here. They have public restrooms. There is ample parking and easy access to the river trail. Great for Pokémon GO players. There are also miles of biking trails in the hills on the opposite side of the parking lot from the river. If you are a Geocasher the trails are a virtual goldmine of cashes. We still have not even dared start that venture, we would be there for days, lol. There are also some hidden fishing holes that are great if you are lucky enough to know the spots. With picnic tables and a great party spot with multiple grills. Anglers is a great place to spend a day with the family doing fun things outdoors.

Good place to go for a walk. Just beware of the puddles and the mud, it can make the trail a bit slick.

Da
Review №40

Some of the most well-maintained mountain biking trails in the area, well worth the hour-long drive for me. There are restrooms and a bike wash and plenty of parking there. It seems to be mostly single track trails that I saw, but theres also a paved path for less adventurous bikers.

My family enjoys going on long walks at Anglers Park. Its nice to be by the Dan River and enjoy all the beautiful trees. It would be great if they had more restrooms because one is simply not enough. The walking paths and bike trails are great for the entire family.

This park, located on the spectacular Dan Daniels Riverwalk Trail, is a great spot for family fun. Theres a large shelter with picnic tables, a grassy soccer field, a boat launch, a paved walking/biking trail is fantastic for anyone who isnt up to terrain with hills. There are numerous benches and picnic tables stationed along the river side of the field if you need to take a break or want a shady spot beside the river for a picnic. This is a great place to take a walk with kids in a stroller or someone restricted to a wheelchair because its so level. Its also a good trail to allow children to develop bike skills. This level trail, that runs around the soccer field, connects to a slightly more challenging paved trail as well as very challenging, unpaved mountain biking/hiking trails. There are well maintained public restrooms and a bike washing station with various tools available for repairs. Its one of our favorite locations in Danville!

Great place to mountain bike, hike, and fish. Has a public boat access. Probably some of the best mountain biking trails in Virginia. Aproximately 28 miles of single track trails for mountain biking and hiking, enjoying nature. About 6 miles of Greenway and increasing. Great area for walking your dog and enjoying the scenic Dan River. A sheltered Pavillion with picnic tables for family outings. Public restrooms and bike wash areas are available.
