They have great supplies and a good value for what you get. Though ever since covid started they seem to be out of certain things a lot. I could find hardly any spray paint, acrylic paint, or Sculpey a few times I went there. Maybe it is because everyone is at home crafting? Or delivery issues? I dunno. Anyway, their staff have always been pleasant enough, and I go there quite a lot.

I recently imported two oil paintings. I trusted them to stretch and frame both pieces. They did a superb job and have a remarkable selection of frames, matting, etc.

Love the store great selection except the manager Danielle is an absolute witch she is not fit to lead her employees (who are very friendly and helpful from my experience) I’ve heard her micromanage these young girls to tears. I have no personal relationship with any workers however its still clear that the workers walk on eggshells around her, and she herself has terrible customer service skills. By all means shop here but just know that your cashier is likely on the verge of tears as a result of her terrible attitude.

I love the products at Michaels. However, the customer service is just awful at this store. I’ve given them 3 chances and I’m done. The online pick up on store is terrible. The people in the frame department are so rude. I couldn’t believe how rude they are. There is one woman in particular who is just awful. I am done shopping at this store.

I just watched the cashier drop $50 worth of pencils two feet down into the bag. Every few pencils I asked to please not drop them because it can break the leads. Every time that I politely asked the cashier said, I know, and proceeded to drop $50 worth of brand new pencils one at a time, likely breaking the leads. So, Ill keep the receipt and if in a year I discover broken leads I will bring them back and inside for a refund which they will likely refuse saying its my fault. They are low in stock so I cant simply exchange them and have no choice but to keep them until they cant be used because of the potential broken leads that Ill likely discover the day after theyre allowed to be returned. If the management reaches out to me offering a refund Ill update the review to reflect whether or not they care about my hard earned money and time.

Michaels is a really good place to find arts and crafts materials, but Iv always noticed the employees getting belittled by the managers and today was unacceptable. Today I went to michaels with my family, and I overheard one of the managers SCREAMING at an employee. I am positive that this employee working at a arts and craft store, getting minimum wage, during a pandemic did not deserve to be screamed at in that way.

I waited in long line for a long time. I brought my teacher id because Michaels gives teacher discounts. The clerk would not give me a discount despite my teacher identification. She told me they changed their policy. Now you have to register online before you get discount. I just left. I was annoyed and wont be back

I love A. C more I know that Michaels is just about the same to most people but not I . I cant almost every time find exactly what I went there and it seems that they never have a good variety of options on sales or Clarence items.

I love Michaels. They always have what you need... BUT...i went in to get frames for my 23 year old daughters funeral just few days after Christmas. It took all the energy i had to make that trek. When i got to the register i politely asked the cashier to wrap the frames so they wouldnt get scratched. She huffed and made an obvious display of being put out. I took deep breaths as i felt the tears begin but i didnt want to break in the store. I just kept saying to myself let it go.. let it go. I had my head down and i realized that she wasnt ringing up anymore but she hadnt given me a total. I looked up and she was just staring at me..i asked her, while pointing at the register is that my total, with a glare at me she nods yes. I paid and left..but as soon as i was outside i broke. Honestly i probably would have anyway even if the transaction had gone well. I did call the mgr and she said all the right things but it was too late.Things like this shouldnt happen. Shame on that cashier. I hope she learns that she represents the company, when shes on the clock and should be nice.

Michaels has got the hugest selection of art supplies, as a result, in spite of recent staff shortage, they really, really, really went ALL OUT with their art materials!

A good quick stop for craft supplies. I went in looking for generic fantasy style miniatures that can be painted at home but couldnt fine any. I stocked up on affordable paint and supplies though so this and AC Moore across the street will be my go-to store for supplies as long as they continue to honor military members with a discount.

Love this craft store...I could spend hours checking out everything here. Prices are excellent, parking is free & available, and they have most supplies needed for almost any craft I could imagine. The store near me, in Dancers MA, didnt carry the one thing I went there for however....sewing machine needles. How I ended up needing and walking out with $100 worth of other craft supplies, Ill never know...but it happens all the time ️

Hard to reach items when you are only 5 feet tall

Every Michaels store is pretty similar, the problem I had with this one is that there were no associates on the floor to help with questions. I wandered around the while store twice and couldnt find what I needed. At checkout, there was a woman who came from the stock room with boxes for the glass items I purchased. She was very helpful.

Its a typical Michaels. Seems understaffed a bit but its got a decent selection. Bright inside. Better than A.C. Moore across the street.

Asked for help from one of the employees. She started to help me and all of a sudden said she had to go on a register and l was on my own. Never will shop or enter a Mochaels again.

If you visit this location at night there is not enough light in their parking lot if any at all and any time I visit its hard to find an employee who actually knows how to answer my questions regarding yarn.

Needed to know what type of needle is good for sewing leather and they said “I don’t know. Sorry.” I asked if they could find out, look it up and they said “ you can google it.” I told them I did not have internet service in the store and manager said “we don’t let our employees have phones. Sorry.” If a customer has a crafting question, and a craft store doesnt know the answer, maybe they can find a way to look it up?

Rude workers

Bought Tim Holtz ideaology letterpress on clearance. The bags are now changed to paper. Missing cars for display on Halloween themed rides. No pedestrian crossing between Liberty TreeMall and Michaels of Danvers.

The manager I think her name is Danielle should not be a manager she has no people skills. We went to buy something and I tried to use a coupon. It didnt go through. She came up and told me it was because it didnt work on extra value items. When we read the fine print it said no exclusions and it turned out the cashier put in the wrong code. Fine we got it working. But Danielle put in the wrong number of items so after waiting 15 minutes already we had to call her back. She tried to refund one but she didnt realize it wasnt working. I finally told her to take everything back and repurchase. She did and finally after THIRTY minutes waiting we got it to work. She never offered an apology for all the things she did wrong or acknowledge I was waiting so long for THEIR errors. I ended up missing out on something because of this incompetence. I figured she would offer me a coupon on some recompense but no nothing and not even an apology. I said to her the least she could do is say sorry. She said well i didnt mean to make the mistake. Uh well yeah Danielle when you accidentally bump into someone walking you dont say well I didnt mean to you say you are sorry its common sense. I cannot believe this woman is in charge here it boggles the mind I will go anywhere but here from now on Joannes or AC Moore etc.

Got two beautiful shadow boxes. One for my daughters baptism outfit and head piece and one for her first outfit when she was born and imprints of her feet. I ordered them online to be picked up in store. When I called to see if it was ready they told me its a 90 minute process. It ended up taking two and a half hours for it to be ready. Than I went to pick it up and the man at the desk was very nice. The problem was my three year old daughter was pretending to bump into the desk which wasnt hurting anything and a young girl in pick up out of no where yells at her and tells her to stop. ADULTS SPEAK TO ADULTS. You dont yell at someone elses child. No matter what. Next time Ill be going to AC moore where everyone is kind.

Great craft store with a decent selection of crafting materials. The price seems on par with other comparable craft stores and if you use the app or sign up with your email you can get a lot of discounts with their coupons. However, beware of the every day value items as those often do not count towards their coupons.

Great store for the crafter. My reasons for going to Michaels is to have custom framing done for my photography. But they offer all types of supplies for the artist in all of us. They offer seasonal decorations for the home. Plus, craftinging supplies for all ages & skills.

Found all I needed in here to decorate for this christmas. Prices were great and also got a 60% off each items....
