This course is pricey, but well worth every dollar! The green is beautiful and the ocean in the background is breathtaking. If youre looking to treat yourself or someone that loves golf... this is a must try! Took my husband here for his birthday and he really enjoyed the course!

What a lovely course!! A little on the pricey side for being on the slow side and for not being able to get in 18 holes, but beautiful holes and setting! Fun vibe as well.

A very nice course. The 3rd signature hole is well worth the price for playing this course. Watch out for the beer prices...ouch!! I would play it again for sure.

The staff at Monarch Beach Golf Links was incredibly helpful throughout the planning and execution of our tournament. They were very organized with social distancing and made the entire process stress-free! Anthony and Katy were especially helpful and very easy to work with. Anything we threw their way, they took it on happily.

I played some golf here with my boyfriend, I think I only made it to 9 holes. I was bored after that. But if you are in to golf. I suggest you check this place out. What better place than a beach front golf playground.

Very fun, challenging golf course!Ive played Pelican Hill golf course (Not far away & has similar views of the ocean & Catalina Island) but Monarch is just as fun & less than 1/2 the cost.The Course staff is very professional, accommodating, informative, helpful & prestigious -- definitely worthy of tips.The course itself is absolutely beautiful. Extremely well groomed greens, fairways & T-boxes. Challenging holes w trees or dog-legs left/right, 2 or even 3 tiered greens... On & On.In a big fan of Monarchs golf course & will go back when I feel like splurging & spending a few more $$ than usual (for me anyway) for a round of golf.Definitely worth playing if you like golf & like playing new courses... For a better price than most Expensive courses in Orange County.

Great views. Excellent greens. Rent the phat bike lots of fun. Buy all your liqueur and laughs from cart girl Morgan. Tip big.

Tucked away between the Monarch Beach Resort and Coast and surrounded by an upscale community.Staff could not be more helpful and professional. They run specials so look for discounts on rounds of golf.Course was in good shape. Fast greens. But no driving range - only a small mat / net set-up - with putt area. GPS on our carts took a while to kick in. Front 9 was tight and back more open and rolling. Top handicap hole is designated as such for a good reason!The nearby restaurant provided great service especially since we were there close to closing time.All in all a really enjoyable round for our foursome.

5 + stars!!! Very friendly staff, the golf course was awesome, clean restrooms, and grill had good selection of food / snacks. Rented a phat scooter which was fun but took some time getting comfortable with the scooter. Will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful course- nothing better than a sunny day of golf alongside the Pacific Ocean. Stunning landscaping and extremely well up kept greens. Delicious snack bar and friendly staff. Favorite course to play by far!

It was only my second time ever golfing but what a beautiful place to experience. And to mix it up we road the scooters instead of the carts.

Please ADDRESS CoVidCheckIn Checkout (DESK in ProShop is placed in the worst location in ClubHouse - encouraging social gathering in the least airflow area of tge shop and is furthest from opening placing people together - they NEED TO MOVE OUTSIDE where the air flows.Bathroom Entrance doors need to be OPEN not enough space nor air flowThe driving range needs to REVIEWED - not enough space nor care to encourage nor enforce social distance. The BALLS anyone has access to touch breathe spit as they do not REMOVE balls for clean.Masks are NOT being worn by all employees, nor were employees social distancing.

Went to dinner at Bourbon Steak. Best restaurant in Orange County, priced accordingly. Truly a 5 star experience. Total class. They even charged my EV, without being asked, while it was valet parked. Our waiter, Lyle, was the best. After the meal, we had the opportunity to participate in a silent auction (see picture). We passed.

Amazing course with phenomenal views. I am an average golfer and this course was very challenging, and hopefully will get to play it a lot more and improve my game!

Had rust water. They failed to notify the guests. When confronted, they did not apologize for having plumbing issues nor for the fact that they did not notify their guests.... I am sorry for many who took showers not knowing the condition of the water, including children.

This place is beautiful. It has all the amenities you want in a 5 star hotel.

SUNDAY BRUNCH WAS IMPROVED WITH GOOD QUALITY FOOD BUT MOST FOOD WAS NOT RESTOCK ON TIME. HAVE TO WAIT AND WAIT. THE FOOD SELECTION IS STILL LESS. THE PRICE INCREASE FROM 125.00 TO 169.00. PAID MORE AND GET LESS. I KNOW LAS VEGAS HOTELS DONT CHARGE THIS MUCH.

Came up here from San Diego to play a St. Patties Day Schamble. Such a fantastic location and beautiful course. Condition of the course itself is so so. You can play at much nicer courses for cheaper...but you will not get the same view. Challenging in areas, fun overall and would definitely come back.The staff here is INCREDIBLE!...Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Specifically the guy who was working the proshop on 3.16.19. I purchased $125 worth of Merchandise, but went to my cart to find a $25 discount on all orders over $100 because of the schamble. He allowed me to return everything, ring it all back in and gave me the $25 off without ANY hesitation. Could easily have said no, but he went out of his way to help me and I truly appreciate that. Sorry for forgetting your name, but you know who it is. (He rang up my royal blue Titleist hat) and Monarch Link Balls

What an amazing round of Golf. The course is one of the best maintained courses Ive played on. You definitely need to play smart golf on this course. If you do, the course will be manageable and a lot of fun. The amenities and staff are 5 Star.

Challenging course, great staff, right on the ocean.

Always a fantastic visit starting with Sam at valet and then the entire staff at Bourbon Steak and the rest of the Resort. A great meal as usual! Dont miss out on the Martini cart with creations made tableside;delicious!

Its beautiful, crowded in the summer though.. too much actually... the valet takes a long time and even parking down below at the members beach parking gets full in summer... food is good, staff is great, another place with a few good waves close by

Top notch organization with a great golf course! Everybody from the valet when you first step foot on the property to the cart girl (Ally) are all absolutely amazing!The food and cocktails are as good as the best restaurants around and the golf course itself is as good as youll find in all of OC.Minus one star because this place does not have a golf range... :(

Great great course. Hospitality was top notch. The greens were recently punched so it added to the challenge of the overall course. There are a lot of bunkers guarding the greens so you have to pick your spots to go for it. Beautiful views of ocean makes it a enjoyable experience. Thanks.

There is no better golf course in Southern California the third hole with ocean views of salt Creek Beach are simply stunning. Holes on the course of fun and challenging in the entire course is well-maintained. Definitely worth a visit for any golf enthusiast.

This hotel is the beautiful. Very nice and mature staff. Massage therapist, Adrianne Lopez, is amazing. The views from the big grassy area is so pretty, the sunset is best to watch there.

The resort facility is nice but quite a distance from the beach. Views from our room were restricted. We were attending a medical meeting and the meals served were quite good.

The course conditions are views amazing. Very short course, 5 par 3s and 3 par 5s and a mixture of shortish par 4s lends itself to a target style course.

Great resort course lay out. Public beach access shared with cart paths on the front 9 led to some strange moments with people carrying beach chairs crossing the fairway. Seemed they were a little off their usually impeccable service the day we played. No beverage cart, and groundskeepers driving across in front of players seemed out of place for a course that costs $$.

If you are an avid golfer and can afford the price tag then definitely this course is an amazing experience. However if you are an average golfer like most of us probably better value to play other courses several times than paying to play this one. You can find some great Twilight deals through Groupons and the likes in the summer that make it much more affordable especially if you want to take a guest.

A great layout, greens all have movement and pace reads. Hole three is right out of Pebble Beach. A lot of great views. The par threes are fun, not overly difficult. Play the right tee boxes for a good time.

5 star resort in Orange County. Need I say more. Restaurants, spa = decadent. And you deserve it. A must do is to have dinner down at their beach restaurant.

First rate resort and golf course on the Pacific in gorgeous Dana Point, California. Staff and management are clearly professional. Ive never seen such consistently excellent service.

I had never played golf in Orange County, so I brought my clubs down because I had some time to kill. I searched for public golf near Laguna Beach and came across Monarch Beach, I saw the 3rd hole and I booked a tee time. It was easily the best experience I’ve had on a golf course. The clubhouse and the ambiance as you walk in is quintessential Southern California. The course was in great shape. I loved the layout of the course. The 3rd hole is absolutely breathtaking. The staff is top notch. I was able to play with Chuck, Scott, and Corey who work at the course, and I could tell that these guys really enjoy the course and really enjoy working there. An absolutely wonderful experience, I will definitely return.

This is one of my favorite golf courses. Tough but fair. The fairways and greens are very well kept. Holes along the water are gorgeous, especially number 3. Sometimes the pin placements can be brutal but like greens are true. Really fun course for everyone!

My son and I played there a few weeks back. It is GORGEOUS!!! Oceanfront and pristine, unlike our inconsistent golf game!! We had a blast and cant wait to play again! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!
