Gellert Park

Gellert Park is great! There is a baseball diamond, a soccer field, basketball courts and a walking trail. It is located right next to a great library and has a picnic area with a barbecue.

I love taking my kid here for soccer game the soccer fields are very well kept and I can walk my dog on the grass right beside the soccer fields. The temperature is always a little bit. It is very rarely sunny and often windy but still a very nice place to visit.

I gave this high review because the park needed to updated. My girls enjoyed the pirate ship but it was getting old. The whole park is slowly getting upgraded like the soccer field and baseball diamonds. Now, the play structures. Upgrade for the old are always nice.

Its nice area doing the work out, suggestion... if possible can set up a small golf range area and benefit some golfers, or maybe can collect some fee.

My family has been a long time supporter of this park, especially my dad. It can get crowded though! During COVID, the parking lot is closed so people have been parking on the streets!

Basketball courts are closed. People are socially distancing inside of the park. Good experience overall.

Great park, would be even better if they would have more garbage cans out in the field so people dont throw their garbage on the ground.

The fog is great for running compared to running with extremely hot conditions. Some sun would be nice but just depends on the day. Great place to run on the track or play with your kids at the park or shoot some hoops.

Perfect place for either an early morning or an afternoon run.

A nice community park in a quiet neighborhood. Large field, a playground, picnic areas for parties, basketball and tennis courts, two baseball diamonds. And right next to the library.

Short trail to walk, but you can go rounds and it is a very clean park with restrooms .

Great park has 6 basketball hopd and tennis courts, also lots of free parking and 2 football fields with a baseball field as well . Tables and rest area under shade

Closed but able to sneak in

Recreation employees were extremely nice, very y helpful, and courteous. Would definitely rent out their facilities for future functions.

Great place to chill out. You can play soccer, tennis, basketball and baseball. You can walk on the tracks and even barbeque.

Nice park. Be careful if you go there in the evening. I have seen coyotes there more than once.

Bbq pits, library, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and soccer field. This park has it all. Has w pokemon go gyms too. Parking can be hard if there is a soccer game.

This park is very nice. Has Big dirt track for running/jogging. Large field for playing sports and dont have to worry about it being crowded either. Kid playground. Plenty of space to enjoy a nice day out.

Decent little playground. I go here with my 8-year old daughter. She likes the pirate ship and the swings, I dislike the graffiti, but what can you do. The soccer fields are nice and in much better condition than the playground.

Good place to get out of the house and enjoy the park life.

The weather is often times cold and foggy because of the geographical location of the park. Id advise having your event when its a sunny day

Library and park in one spot. Great place!

Big park to take my doggie on long walks. Has grass and turfed soccer fields. 4 tennis courts (yea!), basketball courts, baseball fields, the library and lots of parking. People fairly friendly and safe.

Not the best playground around but will keep the kids busy. Great place though if you wish to run around the field. Also its right next to the library.

The tennis courts are open to the public but you have to be there early to get a spot. No reservations nor is there a system to monitor how long one group of players has been in a certain court, a people lining up just have to wait. The hard court surface is not well maintained, not painted over the last 5 years.

Nice place to play soccer while kids are at the playground, I dont give 5 stars just because at the soccer field is missing some lights to play at night

The park was huge, for the most part we enjoyed visiting there, but a lot of prejudice people, and 98 percent of police was jerks

Great place.

Large open park. Great for walking, playing basketball, soccer and a play area for kids. There are also 2 baseball diamonds. There is also areas of turf and natural grass which I thought was pretty cool. The down side are the lights. The lights for the parking area come on, but the rest of the park lights do not come on.

A fun place to walk. You get good exercise in the neighborhood.

Nice big grassy field, but it can get crowded. Good place for a walk around the parameter. Theres a library and restrooms as well.

The public library is wisely located at the border of the parking lot. The soccer fields are great, the kid park and baseball diamonds are good. The picnic table section and basketball/tennis courts are also nice. Unfortunately, marijuana use is prevalent behind the picnic area.

Although the park is quite small there is a soccer field, baseball field, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a library which I have never been to.

I like this park when sunny for morning walks, the field is very nice for the players, playground now is mesh close for more security for our young children. Thank you Daly City rep for improving our city.

Really a nice place to bring children. I wish the city will not allow men playing dominos and drinking in the pay picnic areas. The get laud and a menace to little children.

Decent parking lot and the playground itself isnt big enough for two classrooms of kids and adults. The playground has changed over the years and a kid can definitely use their imagination to have the best time at the park. I used to come here every weekend with my mom and grandparents when I was a kid in the 90s and 00s. Memorable experiences with family and friends. SamTrans 122 bus has a stop here, so its great for those taking public transportation.

Its a little too dirty. Nobody cares about picking after their dogs and even having them on a leash. You can find cigarette butts and bottles on the playground. But its pretty good for soccer, baseball and tennis players. Also it has a 1/2 mile track,library and BBQ area under the roof.

They finally fixed the lights here for the tennis and basketball courts,but this park needs a retro,the city said they have plans for it

A great place to walk, and there are many other activities going on daily.

We went for the playground. It is totally unprotected so on a sunny day (which rarely happens), it is quite hot. There is a sand pit, swings, two play structures, is enclosed by a fence, and has bathrooms. If your kids wants to run around, there is a large expanse of grass. There is a large parking lot. This is actually a very convenient place to take your kids to play.

I usually enjoy playing tennis here. The courts are in playable condition and usually not crowded.

Nice place to hold barbecue, birthday and other parties. Daly City Library is just on the corner too.

Went here for a picnic. Nice little park with tennis, a field and a small playground. The restroom are terrible of course but that is to be expected.

Newly renovated ground. Nice for running, soccer, exercises etc. Very Close to the library. And kid friendly playground.

Always a lot going on. Plenty of people and things to do. And Pete at the community center is super nice.

Nice family place. Has something for everyone.

Its a nice park that has one huge soccer field and two that are divided into two. It does get a lot of noise from airplanes departing SFO and is pretty windy. Once the sun sets down, it gets pretty cold like typical SFO weather.

Got some good childhood memories here.
