Very nice music Venue in Dallas! Felt safe, and the venue had a comfortable vibe, and the music was good! The only reason why I gave it a 4-star instead of 5 is because the venue opened about 20 minutes after 6pm, when the website said the show started at 6pm.

They host some great bands. The layout of the venue is a bit wonky. The bathrooms are tucked away--I imagine it would be difficult to find for those who have had a few drinks. The decor needs some attention. The beautiful lanterns hanging are torn up. The awesome paintings lining a wall suddenly transition into weird doors hanging on the wall.

I really enjoyed this place! The drinks were really cheap and a little small, but strong! I love this size of a concert venue because it’s very intimate. The bathrooms could be cleaner, but I didn’t really expect much from them. Bartender was nice too! Make sure you have cash if you’re trying to buy tickets from the door, but you can hop over to 711 down the street to use the ATM for a fee. They do take card at the bar though. They have several tables with chairs and even a larger one (might be two square tables that you can push together) closer to the stage for a bigger party. Decent AC too.

Excellent sound system if you like to see live music. It has that old time feel for a bar. They have the music way too loud each time I have been there. Poor selection of beer and wine served in a plastic cup.

Two thumbs down. Rude bar tender. Rude sound guy. No hospitality. My husbands band drove 10 hours to play a show and it was not worth the time, money, or energy spent on getting there. Worthless.

Sh
Review №35

Decent Deep Ellum venue for live music. Bartenders are cool and drinks are cheap. The place gets a little tight for popular acts but the sound system is decent. You just have to hope that whoever is running sound knows what they are doing. I have been there for guys whos mix is so bad it makes the show less enjoyable.

I came to see some bands I was unfamiliar with. Were they any good? I dont know; the sound production was so bad, I couldnt make anything out. I could see 4 (4!) people singing into the mic, couldnt hear a dang word. Shame on you, Prophet Bar.

Attended a concert here and enjoyed the experience. It is a small venue with a nice sized bar. The sound system was spotty in parts of the room. The concert I attended was GA so we moved to a different spot.Parking was a bit of a mystery because of several concerts happening in the area. Plan ahead so you can have some time to park before the event you plan to attend.

I love this place. I have been to three concerts here and I feel like its gem yet to be discovered. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Only downside its layout which is long and narrow. Watching a show when crowded can feel a bit like standing in a train car. If you manage to get there early enough you can usually find free parallel street parking vs the $10 lots down the street.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks where cheap and good. $5 liquors are the best deal. They have bicycle parking and the DART station is a very short walk away.*The bartender was awesome enough to take care of my backpack but I really think this place should have a coat check. Also, a great designated walkway between the exit and the restrooms would be nice. I cannot emphasize how long it took me to get to either place.I really enjoyed this place. I highly recommend you visit The Prophet Bar.*If you want to catch the train on time leave around 12:05 to catch the last train.

Review №56

My show was wonderful but that wasnt due to the venue only the fact that the band put on a great event. Had VIP tickets and was granted early access to the venue. They made all VIP leave and come back in between meet and greet and show because there was no staff from the venue on site. Also, the bathrooms were atrocious.

Et
Review №57

This place fills out extremely quickly, and its not great when it does. Since the venue is so long, its easy to get stuck in the back. The stage is tiny, and you have to fight the entire crowd just to get to the bathroom. Parking is difficult because its on the far end of Deep Ellum which means walking a while is 100% unavoidable. Thats pretty large for the course though.

The homey RC and his band the Gritz have had Jam Sessions on lock for a decade now every Wednesday night. This is a very laid back spot where you can enjoy live music and a stiff drink. Dont be surprised if you are entertained by a celebrity guest. I highly recommend you check RC and the Gritz out one hump day.

The line moved quickly parking is still a pain. Mostly just bummed you start the bands so early on a Friday. With traffic and people working please consider a later start? Fervant Rose is my favorite! Thank you for having them in your line up!!!️️

In my opinion they oversell the venue so there are an unreasonable number of people crammed into a small area. It also makes it impossible to buy drinks from the bar or use the restroom. If there was a reasonable sized crowd my review would have been higher but the number of people I saw made me wonder what the fire code restrictions in Dallas are. Im no expert by any means but the thought crossed my mind.

This was the worst experience of my life. I walked in, there were no posters outside. My friends and I paid the cover (two military Vets). As soon as I walked in the bands stopped playing. It was the last song, but the door person was so high and out of it they didnt even mention anything. When I talked to the owner about it, they basically said, sorry out of luck, oh you a vet, then im sure you can deal with it.... this was very disrespectful place, are not welcoming to military persons and are not accepting of people outside their small circle.
