This building contains a lot of history. The museum contained a lot of interesting information regarding the Kennedy’s trip to Dallas. They have plenty of pictures and it was pretty much like a walking tour. Everyone there was wearing masks and kept socially distanced which is a plus. They even went on to explore some of the conspiracy theories and showed different opinions from professional, such as the acoustic test that was conducted.
No matter what you believe about who really shot JFK, thismuseum is worth the visit. You can get right next to the snipers nest where Oswald supposedly fired. You can see the streets below and get a feel for what it was like that fateful day. A must visit for anyone into the JFK conspiracy theories like me.
Reliving History! I was 4yrs. Old when this happened! The tour and audio head sets are a must! Book Depository bldg. @ Dallas, TX
Lonely, sad feeling.
Sixth Floor Museum is a great collection of JFK material all set in a historical space. A little eerie when by the window but great place to learn about a sad event in history. No photos allowed on the sixth floor but you can take them from the seventh.
Terrific museum that keeps both young and old informed about the events leading to the assassination of JFK. Give yourself at least 90 minutes here.
Great site and museum
Enjoyed it... The self guided tour was great.
Every American should visit here.
Well worth visiting. Seeing the actual site you quickly realize all the conspiracies theories are flawed. After seeing the distance involved you quickly realize Oswald could have easy made all the shots and hit the president.
Moving place. Loads of information and incredible tour. The audio devices were not great quality and mine actually was unresponsive for about 20 minutes.
Great place to learn stuff you didnt know. I have learned a lot over the years about Kennedy but this was an experience and is worth the trip if you do come to Dallas.
Great museum & informational. I am not a big Kennedy fan, but I love history & this is a great spot. I now can see why people think Lee Harvey Oswald was a patsy and how impossible it was for him to make the shot.
It was really cool to see it in person! Its alot smaller in person. Still amazing
Great place to eat dinner. The fried chicken is pretty good. It wouldve been 5 stars but i heard some sort of gunshot come from the floor above me. not sure what it was but it sure spooked me! Anyways, it was probably just a weird thing that happened while I was there. Recommend!
A moving piece of history commemorating the life of President Kennedy. The tour is reasonably priced and includes an audio guide. I went on a Sunday, and there was a large crowd. I recommend buying your tickets online to reduce your wait.
Awesome museum and tribute to JFK. I loved going as a big JFK fan.
Awesome audiotour, lots of great info I didnt know and spent a lot more time her than I thought I would. Thoroughly appreciated the effort put into this.
I loved the experience and the information I learned today way more than I did in school since I wasnt born when the shooting happened
Very good descriptions and illustrations. Well worth a visit to see history !
The history is great. The logistics to buy a ticket and get in are an exercise in line waiting, most of it outside in the heat. Miserable.
Awesome museum. Worth the hassle of getting to downtown Dallas. Plus, the location always attracts conspiracy theorists and weird protesters so its interesting to people watch.
Must see if you are visiting Dallas.
Dont go to Dallas without visiting.
At first I thought this would be a bit depressing or even morbid, but I was wrong. How many shooters do YOU think there were? Conspiracy, yes, no? The DBD gives equal time to both sides. I could not believe that in a room of people, I felt like the only one there, looking over the shooters shoulder. It is a very intense experience if you put yourself there on that day. Educational and tasteful. Take a ride to the theater afterwards, it will make you think.
My family loves checking out history and this is one place that did not disappoint. I did find it upsetting that some people felt the need to stand on the x in the middle of the road. I guess I would prefer if people had more respect.
Interesting off course but $18 per adult was a bit expensive for a historic site
Nice museum
Its been 38 years since I last went here. No matter what, its worth a trip there.
This is a berth place of many fantastic conspiracy theories. The best is that museum even mentions it. Well done!
For those of us who lived through the assassination, this museum brings back the emotions of those days. Very well done, dont miss if you are in Dallas
Pretty cool spot.
Great walking tour. Have me chills looking out the window to the spot on the street and watching the cars avoid the spot the president was shot.
Very cool museum. FBI scale model was impressive. Covers what was happening at the time for context which is often lost when talking about what happened.
Historical masterpiece. Living breathing history that you can immerse yourself in. Definitely worth the time and money for anyone or any history buff.
A real eye-opener! A must see if in Dallas
This is a must see. I was 14 when JFK was assassinated. This is my first visit to the Book Depository. The exhibit recreated the events of my memory.
Mind blowing place
Oswald didnt do it
Very informative self driven tour of the building and the events back in 1963.
Considering this museum is made up of information boards it was really interesting. The audio tour and the building its self make it. Learnt alot I didnt know - well worth a visit. Booked in advance but most people seemed to be walk ups.
This is where Lee Harvey Oswald worked before he was blamed for a murder he did not commit. This was a political assassination coordinated by LBJ associates. President Trump, will be releasing JFK reports OCT. 26th 2017 and what will be missing is the Oswald records. Those have mysteriously vanished.
Neat to see this important piece of American history
Excellent coverage of the JFKS assassination.
Nice gift shop. Didnt go up.
I have a clear mind what Lee Harvey Oswald did to John F Kennedy.
Loved this museum.
Very informative visual museum.
Cool history
Soft day
Interesting history here
I love history
Great history lesson
Great museum
Get in at 10 am and sacrifice a few of the early exhibits to get ahead of the pack. Then come back later to those you missed. Otherwise you see nothing but other peoples heads
Lee Harvi Osvald
Brought back memories of that eventful day
Quite Historical
The Book Depository is not so high by its size, but it is gigantic by its historical importance.
Great
Jfk
A trip down America’s infamous history.
Haunting
Looks just it did way back when.
Very informative
Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy there
