This place is amazing! My friend and I signed up for a private class since we had never shot a firearm before. Pete was friendly, very informative and patient with us. We both enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to go back to practice more.We were not able to purchase a gun due to limited supply but are hopeful we will find one in the near future.Thank you all so much for making our experience Great!

Awesome gun range! The staff are professional, helpful and friendly. This was one of my first time shooting and they made sure I was comfortable, safe and had an enjoyable time. We purchased one of the shooting packages to try our a few handguns and a silences AR-15.

I had an awesome time here! Came to rent and shoot for my birthday and had a blast. Due to the scarcity of ammo I was unable to shoot their AK, but still managed to make due with an AR-style .308 rifle. Big thanks to Josh for excellent service and advice!

Trevor is a wonderful instructor. He was very patient with me and giving encouragement through out my one-on-one session. Especially for a woman you to be treated with respect. At the same time you want to be formally trained on how to handle a firearm in the correct matter. Trevor went from A to Z in my gun training. Also I brought my young adult son with autism with me. My son was there strictly to support me his momma bear. He is the reason I took this class, so I can protect him as well as myself. I highly recommend Trevor he is a great instructor. 1st time there visiting from out of state, and I have to say Fantastic experience overall. Called up to confirm what I needed to go on the range and rent and Troy was straight forward and told me what I needed and what I needed to do when I arrived unlike Shoot Point Blank in Lewisville, which told me one thing over the phone and had something totally different rules when I got there, which their loss in the end. Getting back to DFW, the staff was friendly and helpful esp Troy who I spoke with over the phone and Ethan who helped me out on the range and with my questions. I thought they had a great selection to rent from inventory and their packages were very reasonable. Definitely would go to again if Im in the area.

By far one of the best places Ive been. The office was very professional and answered all my questions. Its a little more then your average range but by far worth the extra few dollars you pay. This place is nice, clean, and very convenient with checking your targets every time you shoot. Only flaw I could think of is they dont have hot wings .

Today, I had a 2-hour individual/private class with Trevor M. I was very nervous and scared b/c I had never shot a gun before until 2 weeks before while visiting my son. At that time, I received my first shell burn from the bullet after pulling the trigger twice. After that I was done. I decided once I returned home, I would look into a class. First off let me say Trevor is the very patience, knowledgeable and a good teacher. I recommend anyone that would like to learn about gun laws, your rights as a gun owner, gun safety and how to properly shoot a gun with confidence, then Trevor is the man to see. I cant wait to go back and train some more with him. I wish I could show my results after 1 class. Thanks Trevor !!!

As a beginner who is looking to obtain an LTC next month, I signed up for the intro class to get my feet wet and face some fears. TREVOR is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Hes highly skilled, super supportive, encouraging, patient, and really great at making you feel comfortable. I knew I was in good hands as soon I met him. The rest of the staff were all really great too, very friendly people. Highly recommend this location for classes or when youre just looking to go shoot for a couple of hours.

Came here on my birthday at like 8pm.. the guys behind counter are real nice guys and overall had great costumer service. Got in and got out, wasn’t a long screening part. Best range in Dallas definitely coming back again with more people and more guns!

Took the Women’s Basic Pistol class today, and I was very impressed with the instructor and experience. I didn’t have much experience with guns and was very nervous, but by the end of the class I felt confident, safe and excited to do it again!! Would highly recommend this range and their classes.

My husband and I took the Intro to Handguns class with Trevor. For my first time firing a gun, this class was fantastic. Trevor took his time and made sure we were comfortable handling, loading and unloading the gun and focused on gun safety for the first hour. The second hour was spent on the range and were able to execute what we learned in the classroom. Highly recommend Trevor and DFW Gun Range!

I am a first time gun owner. My family has never been too keene on owning a gun. I wanted to take a beginners class that had a good pace, knowledge filled, and an understanding instructor. I also wanted to go to a gun range that i felt didn’t have any political motivations or divisiveness that would make this experience intimidating. Well enters DFW gun range! I was simply blown back at the facilities and staff. Right off the bat you can tell two things are their priority, safety and customer service. Very friendly staff at the counter. They asked if it was my first time, and made sure i didn’t feel alienated. In class our instructor, Mr. Martinez ( I forgot his first name.) did an excellent job catering the class as to why we were all there. He harped on safety! Which was great! We also did a range portion were he actually took his time to match gun to user, i brought my own and even gave me some good feedback about my choice. All around great experience! I would most definitely recommend their beginners course to anyone! I’ll be back for my LTC course here!

I came here for an intro class today and was really impressed, never fired a gun before and the whole staff made me feel comfortable which was important to me as a female especially. The most unsafe range ever. People at the counter literally pointing guns at each other because they are unloaded. Staff is cool with it.This place is good for the artsy TX crowd aka hipsters who know nothing. Next thing you know, someone gets their brains blown out.

I liked the range itself. The other customers walking in with guns in hand did make me nervous. I also didnt like how the staff and the people not in the range could see you through the glass wall. On another note, the staff were nice and helpful. I would certainly go back.

Absolutely phenomenal customer service. Went to pick up a pistol transfer here. It was busy but very organized in there and I was helped quickly.Matthew was a stand out guy and got me all set up with the transfer ($35), completed my background check, etc. During the downtime waiting on the results of my background check, he was engaging and talked to me about a few home defense options and even showed me how to disassemble my S&W.I interacted with two other employees there and they were both awesome, friendly and professional. Store itself was clean, up kept and appeared to have a good amount of firearm choice both for purchase and renting at the range there. I even briefly spoke with the small class instructor about private lessons and he too was wonderful.Highly recommend!

We have now taken 3 different courses here - a private Intro to Handguns class, a private youth firearm safety course (for our 11 year old son) and the License to Carry class. Pete did the intro to handgun class and youth firearm safety course - he was very informative and professional. He also did a great job teaching our son the basics and helped him shoot for the first time! Eric was the instructor for the LTC class - he kept us engaged the whole time all while having an energetic and funny personality and we learned so much! The 5 hour class flew by! The range itself is nice as well. All the employees we have encountered here have been very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic shooting range. Perfect for a good afternoon. Went along with a mate, this was our first time shooting the big guns in the US and this range was absolutely perfect for us starting off. This place is awesome!!!! They give a discount for police, no long lines, they all wear masks, have hand sanitizer, and they have classes there if you dont know how to shoot too. I work in Law Enforcement so going to the gun range is essential. I will be back to shoot more rounds!!!!!!

I recently went to the gun range to celebrate my birthday and my instructor Pete was very informative with the M3 I was able to shoot with. Plus, he help me on using my own 9mm and my friend with her gun as well. Excellent Customer Service!

Two employees here showed extreme incompetence and a lack of customer service. One couldn’t correctly advise me on a weapon in a particular caliber. The other couldn’t look at me while talking to me. Instead he chose to look at his colleague while providing information that was for me. When I asked him to look at me the first employee stormed off like a child and told the second employee to talk to me. Immature, unprofessional, and punk behavior don’t even begin to describe the interaction with them today. I will never do business here again. I don’t want to call the two of them racist but I didn’t see those two engage with anyone else in such a disrespectful manner.

Very helpful and friendly staff. I arrived for a lane rental but was having a slide problem, and a staff member did not hesitate to field strip the gun and fix the problem -- without charge.

Training can be a lot better as compared to other places in Dallas metroplex. I felt like bare minimum was covered in Introduction to Handguns class, as compared to the same class I took at Bullettrap a few years ago. Good thing, you buy your own ammo and get to shoot a lot more in the range.

A simple yes or no would have been fine... i dont see how everyone says they are helpful? The call was rude and not helpful.

I was actually blown away by how rude everybody behind a counter was. I left as soon as I could just to remove myself from the situation as i was getting nowhere in my quest to purchase a firearm.I tried calling to inquire about the price of a gun but they cant even tell you a price over the phone and surprise, they’re rude about that as well!

3 stars because of the lack of attention of the equipment of the range. Few of the booths target holders werent functioning properly, which in my opinion, is something that requires repairs asap. Lots of people will begin to look elsewhere to shoot if these things arent addressed. Overall the only thing I enjoyed here was Matthews superb customer service and his will and interest in helping me sight my red dot for the 1st time, which I had no previous knowledge on how to do. He made sure I had wat I needed and real attentive dude all around. This is what keeps customers coming back! Big shout out to Matthew

Everyone working there was friendly and professional. The range was clean. The whole process of signing in and paying for the rental package was easy. I was visiting from out of state, and I wish I had a gun range like this near my hometown, Id go there every week if I could. Range fees are a bargain, compared to where I live... Im not sure if theyre cheap or expensive for the area, but for me, it was really affordable. Overall, my visit to DFW was awesome, and I would recommend anyone to go pay them a visit. John was the one that helped me and my friends for our first time at the shooting range and he did spectacular at making us feel welcomed even though we are broke college students just looking for something new and fun to do. Fantasic shooting range and a must if you are visiting Dallas! As a novice shooter Ethan and Michael were very helpful when guiding us through the safetey and administration process. If you are novice shooter go with one of the rifle packages. Ask them about the 10mm pistols, they were a blast to play around in. Adminstration process is very straight foward, if you are from overseas make sure to have valid ID and Visa paperwork ready.

I would recommend this store. The staff is very helpful and have great customer service. However, they could not transfer an online firearm purchase because their ISP, Spectrum, has been out since Friday May 1st 2020. Im currently waiting to receive a firearm I already paid 1,400 dollars for. A bit frustrating but I understand it is out of their hands. I would suggest choosing another ISP. Another thing to keep in mind is that they have a wait period after receiving the gun to their shop. Their policy is that they will call you to come pick up the firearm. The wait period is short. It took me only two days to get a phone call to pick up the firearm from the day it was received at DFW Gun Range. If I was someone who wanted to buy a firearm online I would send it some place else. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about this Gun store.

Understaff and waited hours for my gun transfer. They literally skipped me and are giving me the run around. Poor service. I do not recommend getting a gun here. I suggest getting a gun at rays gun dealer

I always have a great experience at DFW! The staff is always SUPER helpful and friendly and they really helped to make my son feel at ease during his first range experience. I would definitely recommend this place above any other fun range in the area! I live in Collin County and past many other businesses just to come here. If you own your own handgun, ear & eye protection, AND are a female then you can shoot for FREE every Tuesday night from 4-9pm! Great for a true girls night out... I am definitely looking forward to returning and so is my son!

Visiting from Boston, so decided itd be a ton of fun to go to a range down here. This place didnt disappoint. Went with a friend, and Jon helped us both through five different handguns and 200 rounds (at his recommendation). He was also super helpful when the FN45 I first tried wouldnt eject properly. Made sure the 1911 I tried afterwards was properly lubed up.10/10 would recommend for some relatively cheap fun, even if youre not very experienced with firearms.

Living in California but having a son at Dallas SMU, Ive been following this gun range on Twitter for a while. Visiting my boy was the perfect opportunity to shoot there. Short story: fantastic experience! The staff welcomed me like I was a regular. Very thorough professional staff, courteous. They even gave me the Veteran discount when I answer the question precising I am a vet but in France, not in the USA! First time ever anywhere I got this discount (which I dont expect to get in America). The facility is neat. I had nothing but a great time! Definitely my go to range when in town. Thank you guys!

As a Navy Veteran with 4 years RSO experience my first experience at DFW Gun Range and Training Center was mixed with some good and bad. Mark earned a 1 star with Ethan and Mathew both earning 5 stars. Mark was EXTREMELY RUDE on the phone and in person AND he tried to tell me that the FBI has a 21 day mandatory waiting period on new hand gun purchases and that is the law, and if I didnt want to wait they would lose their license or he could give me an 80% refund. If there was ever a way not to treat a paying customer it is Mark. I wouldnt trust him in my business without a loaded firearm much less with a loaded firearm starting confrontations with customers. I then went to the store and spoke with Ethan and Mathew who gave me correct information 100% contradictory to Marks BS answers. It appeared that they already knew Mark is a customer service nightmare. Had it not been for Ethan and Mathew I would have left the review at 1 star. After this purchase is complete I will be looking for another range as long as Mark is employed there. I dont trust his trigger hair attitude, lack of knowledge on gun and FFL laws along with his quick temper behind me with a weapon. Update: A few hours later my background came back with a proceed as it normally does so I go to pick up my weapon and I have to finish up with Mark and his attitude. I kept my mouth shut but when we were all done I wanted to verify my serial number on the 4473 myself to verify there was no issue with the paperwork as he made me sign the 4473 BEFORE he was done filling it out. Mark made a huge deal about me checking the serial number. SORRY NOT SORRY, ITS MY GUN AND MY SAFETY, I DONT TRUST YOU MARK. Ethan was once again amazingly helpful. Ethan and Mathew would be the only reasons I return but I seriously doubt I will. Get Mark out of there before he loses his temper and shoots someone. I WOULD NEVER ALLOW SOMEONE ON MY RANGE WITH HIS ATTITUDE, DISREGARD FOR FEDERAL REGULATIONS AND INABILITY TO LISTEN. 2nd Update: After calling the phone number on their business cards and leaving a message for their HR representative to please call me so I could address these issues, I have still not received a call back. I take this as they just do not care and have zero interest in addressing customer complaints. Rating is going back down to a 1 star because of this.

Had my second gun shipped to this range. First time went without any hiccups. Things changed quite abruptly with this attempt at transfer.“The Internet was down” over 2.5 weeks and I could not get my new mossberg because they were unable to transfer without internet access.Week 2, phone lines are down and I cannot get in contact with any company reps about taking possession of the gun.Yesterday I left work early to go again, in week 3, to this range to get my transfer done. After waiting and hour and a half without even getting the transfer started I needed to leave to fulfill a volunteer responsibility.After all the headache I told them I don’t want to deal with y’all and I want a refund for the transfer you didn’t complete and send the gun back, I will use another location going forward. They refused to refund my cash payment!! They instructed that I would need go out of my way again to email another employee to inquire about a refund. Guys I don’t have weeks and weeks of time to spend on something that should take less than an hour.If you are looking to transfer your new gun I would recommend another facility as this place seems really disorganized at this time. If you want to wait for a month (after it has already arrived at their facility) then this is the perfect place. Highly recommended for people with infinite time and like jumping through hoops!!

I just left from doing my lvl 3 renewal (1/22/20), and i had the exact same results i had the first time and im VERY pleased with how it has been. The staff was just as friendly,helpful and there to assist you if you needed something. They treated you with respect and dont make you feel like you didnt know anything about what you was doing. Over all i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you was going to do any class that available here..take it here. Also Kim is a VERY helpful. Looking forward to seeing you again in 2 years. This range is legit and staff are super helpful and friendly. This place is usually busy. They offer memberships and courses to all levels. Also have rentals available with a assortment of firearms. Overall I like this range and love shooting here.

Do not buy a gun here. I bought a gun from them used, asked them if I could look it over. Was told everyone would work fine and they had tested it out. Took it to the range there, and had malfunctions from what right now I believe to be bad magazines. Bought a few new mags to test but the point stands they will lie to you to get a sale, so you cannot trust them in this regard. Assume any gun you buy from them will have malfunctions or other issues, when I asked them about this. They told me I’d have to figure it out and fix it myself, all sales are final, etc.

We took an intro to handguns class with Pete. This was our first time shooting and it was really a great crash course and made me really comfortable actually firing the weapon. I’ll definitely be back for my LTC class and some more range time.

I would like to say thank you to the staff especially JJ. They were super nice friendly and patient. JJ gave me a crash course of how to hold the gun, aim and shoot. My first shot was right in the center...Thats for a successful visit.

I was traveling to Dallas to visit a friend and we decided to go to gun range to try out something new. We had no experience with handgun and were a little nervous, but this place offer a short introductory training course (~20 minutes) to go over safety rules and how to use the handgun safely. Staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Very nice experience.

Staff is incredibly help and they have a wide range of firearms available to buy/rent. I enjoy spending my Saturday mornings here whenever I get the chance!

We had a great group event at DFW Gun Range! The service was great, especially Flo. He gave us a great safety class that was efficient and effective. He also stayed late just to work with our group! The customer service is horrible. I waited in line forever just for the guy to go help a group of ladies that had just come in. I told him I was next and he said they were in a class. This same guy did the same thing with the same group of ladies on the way out. All of the employees stand around like there is no organization.

THEY WATCH FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE AND CONSIDER YOUR NEEDS OF COMFORT AND CONFIDENC. I WAS HELPED BY MARK CAPT H. & JUAN. AS A COMMISSIONED OFFICER TRYING TO ENHANCE MY SHOOTING SKILLS. THE CAPT & JUAN GAVE EXCELLENT POINTERS AND SHOWED GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.IF YOU HAVENT EXPERIENCED SHOOTING AT THE DFW GUN RANGE YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON A GRAND OPPORTUNITY. I had such a great experience at DFW Gun Range. It had been awhile since I last shot and took the gun safety course (highly recommend). It was a good refresher and the staff was very knowledgeable. During my time on the range, the staff was always paying attention and providing safety statements over the loud speaker for those shooting. It was nice to know that they were paying attention to create a safe environment for myself and fellow shooters.

Great place to shoot. We went down to Texas from Montreal just for the experience. Well equipped and knowledgable staff. Ethan and Mark know their stuff, and are great teachers for first time shooters.

Took my son here and it was great. The staff was super professional and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to let the kids take some photos with rifles. Can’t recommend highly enough

Great range with friendly staff and good lanes. They also have good variety of firearms and excellent price.

I went here with a friend and rented a rifle and handgun to use on the range. The staff were very friendly and polite, and the prices were very reasonable. The indoor range is also very nice. I highly recommend this venue for both new and experienced shooters, and I will definitely be coming here again the next time Im in Dallas!

My friend and I went here because this was the only close range that had the H & K P30SKS in their rental pool that I am thinking of purchasing, but as soon as we walked in we were uncomfortable. It felt like the Wild, Wild West with three people in the lane next to us swing pistols around, a couple ladies a few lanes done shooting a loud rifle in rapid fire mode and didnt see a range boss walking around. We have been to a few local ranges along with military amd NRA ranges, so not new at this amd was surprise by mess. We left early just to get out of there. Never going back as there are better and cheaper ranges around. Enjoy!

Most of the gun ranges in the area easily offer 90% of the things I am looking for: a clean range, a well stocked gun store, etc. Given all the similarities, I look for a place that has that extra 10% that makes me want to keep coming back.DFW Gun Range has that extra 10%. I have used them as my go to shooting range, purchasing, and transfer location. A lot of this has to do with the staff there. I have primarily worked with Sisco at the range, and he has never let me down. Ether it be answering questions I have about different firearms and accessories or him going to extra mile following up on a shipment of 4 boxes, but only 3 arrived at the store. He even helped me load up my truck when all the boxes got there!Its all been a top notch experience at DFW Gun Range.
