On March 19, I contacted this store to purchase 25lb Shea butter box, spoke to a lady and was told the price is $87.50. On Wednesday May 27, contacted the store (called and texted), spoke to a lady again and she advised the price is the same $87.50 When went to purchase the next day, my card was swiped for $100 instead of the price given. This is part of the reason why is it hard for people to support ‘black businesses’. You can not charge a different amount after you have provided the cost to a customer. This is a business that charges what they feel at the time and changes the price after they’ve told you a price. While there, a customer inquired on a price and the woman said $300, then after further review of past conversations between her and that customer, she changes to say “oh I told her $250, charge her $250. Smh They did a bait and switch type of deal. BAD BUSINESS. Always stay professional and hold your integrity to keep your word on the prices you give to customers. First & Last time here. I do not recommend this place and will not support Pan African Connection again.

Greeting my dear friends, this place is an open book of the hearts and minds our family members history. The artifacts, yes, that is what I call them. The designer of every piece of art in this place, reveals to me the facts about a people that no one can write about. The facial expressions tell me the real history as my soul always seen to connect with their souls. I am there in their place, their suffering and pain, their life struggle feel my soul with their spirit. When I walk out of the door going home, that burning torch of Hope that they were seeking, burns in me to keep their hope alive. So when you see me at this place, I carry in me their desire to be free of all that seek to hold me back from my humans destiny. Yes, my heart and my mind, they are truth free. So I thank Allah for this very unique place here, Pan African Connection.

Went yesterday 6/7/19. Enjoyed browsing through the African artifacts. The authentic pieces were way out of my budget, and the more reasonable pieces were just ok. Nothing to catch my eye. They had alot of great books, some I considered purchasing, but the customer service was really bad. So I decided to take my business somewhere else. I can find some of the inauthentic items online, as well as the books too. A few of the books I already owned. But I was really bombed out because I thought it would have been a great 1st experience. Ive read so many good things about this business, but nothing near to what I saw. No education on any of the artifacts, no one greeted, no one asked if we needed help, or was looking for anything in particular, no one thanked us for coming, and invited us back, when we left. We were totally ignored the entire 45 minutes we were there. I prefer to spend my money in my community, but I am very big on customer service, and they definitely got a 0. The juice man wasnt there. But there was another man and kid out front selling snack food items, so we bought a few things, cause his customer service was on point. So thats how that went. I will be back to see if the juice guy is there. If there are more professional people that care about selling something and making their customers feel welcomed, I may go back in the store. We will see.
