Lucy did an amazing job on my piercings. I drove 3 hours to see her and will do it again for any piercing needs. She took her time with placement and made adjustments as needed. I was nervous, so we didn’t do much talking, but it was not awkward at all. Her room was clean and relaxing. She was very professional and answered all my questions. I will definitely be back!

Awesome place. Joe Haasch is my artist there, wouldn’t want anyone else working on my tattoos. He is very efficient and doesn’t miss any details. I’m in the process right now of doing my 3/4 sleeve and everything above my elbow Joe drew on by hand. Absolutely beautiful piece of artwork. I recently got my ears triple pieced with Lucy and quite frankly I cannot express how amazing she was but Im damn sure going to try! Lucy is very patient, kind and detail oriented. She was constantly checking in to make sure I was okay with spacing and talking through each step so I felt comfortable. I 100% recommend her, she is an expert and a professional with great taste. My friends and I went in to get piercings from Lucy, she was wonderful and very professional. The staff wore mask while we were in the store and her work space is clean (like a doctors office). I felt very comfortable with her and will be bring my daughter to Lucy for any piercings in the future! Good vibes and great service!

I’ve visited this shop a few times, and I’ve been really pleased with all of my experiences. The front of the shop is a neat retail store with T-shirts and different things, and the studio is in the back. I did this ear piercing yesterday on a walk-in, they were nice and accommodated me even though the piercer was booked for appointments until later in that day. The shop is clean, everyone is really professional, and they’ll educate you on anything you need to know about your piercing. I’ve also visited to change out my nose ring to a hoop, and was happy with the pricing and help. Their prices are reasonable, and I’ll definitely be back for any other piercings or maintenance.

I got my ears pierced by Lucy the day they opened back up after the shut down. They could not have all been kinder or more professional! I have many piercings and tattoos and this shop was the cleanest, nicest, and best shop I’ve ever been to. I will absolutely be back again for my next piercing and tattoo! I got a daith, tragus, and conch piercing on Sunday with Lucy Machel. She has such an artistic eye and knew exactly what would look good on me. Lucy’s suite was as clean as a doctor’s office, if not cleaner. Lucy has a phenomenal technique and I experienced about a “2” on a scale of 1-10 for about 3 seconds. I literally have no pain today. She is a Professional in every sense of the word. Totally worth the drive from Coppell. I LOVE my new piercings. I’m planning my next appointment with her in a few weeks for more piercings. Lucy is the cutest ever! I got my septum pierced and it went super smooth and looks amazing. She even adjusted the jewelry to make sure I’d be able to flip it up which was a concern of mine. Would 100% get pierced here again!!

I’ve had multiple piercing sessions with Afton. She is calming, precise, and all around very great at her work. She has had years of experience and it shows. I asked her to mark spots where she thinks piercings would look best on me and It looks perfect! The placement and jewelry are exactly what I didn’t know I needed. I will definitely be coming back soon!

Friday the 13th. I wish I would say I got a tattoo from this shop . Was our first choice of shop. I have no idea of how the quality would have been. So this review is not based on the quality of tattoo cause we chose the shop for that reason. Got in line at 830pm. Which I know most shops close but this one did not and that worked for my groups work schedule. Waited in line until 1145 and was sent away at the front of the line. Artists spoke to groups often with minor reassurance, no guarantee of getting a tattoo. Which I understand. But if the artists had an idea of when they were going to cut the line. They should have done so HOURS prior to 1145. Best part is they gave out $20 off $100. Bruh I was in line for a $20 tattoo. And was turned away after 3 hours. I would have preferred to be told earlier and given nothing. Fun fact our group was of 4; 3 of the 4 this would have been their first tattoo.

I had a pinup done by Carl and am absolutely in love with it! Prior to this I didn’t have any serious work done so I was nervous reaching out to someone so experienced. Carl was absolutely amazing to work with on this. He was super easy to communicate and didn’t have the aggressive stereotyped personality I was expecting.He worked with me via email giving feedback on general designs until we arrived to what I wanted. During this process I could truly feel the passion he has behind his work which was my biggest concern when finding an artist. The piece meant a lot to me and I wanted someone special to design and tattoo it. Carl was absolutely that person.The day of my appointment I had second guesses on where to place the tattoo d/t work and medical reasons. Carl picked up on it right away. Instead of getting aggravated he spent extra time trying to find the best spot. I’m so glad he took the time to do this because I absolutely couldn’t imagine my pinup anywhere else.They sent me home with soap and lotion which was super appreciated as everything I have is scented and wouldn’t have worked. While I was there the shop was discussing putting in a care instructions card for reminders (hope they do this because that would be great!)The tattoo is beyond what I imagined. It captures my personality and everything I wanted it to represent.I highly, highly recommend even for those tattoo newbies out there like me .

I absolutely love this place!! I especially love the atmosphere and the people that work here! Lucy and Afton are the best and every friend that I bring loves them too. Lucy is so genuine and nice and makes me feel so comfortable every time I get a piercing. Definitely will be my forever piercing place.

I was so glad that I was able to be tattooed again by Carl today! As always, his work was above and beyond and he was able to give me exactly what I had wanted: a piece that represented myself, my husband, and our daughter. This was my first time at this location and I absolutely loved it because of the privacy. The staff is friendly and the vibe there is so great with the music and great conversation. I cannot say enough positive things about Heart in Hand. I had an appointment with Matt, and from the initial consult he was very detailed about everything. When it came time to come in for my piece, the whole shop energy was positive. Everyone I met was polite, and helpful. During my tattoo Matts energy was calm and inviting! It was good conversation and hearing some of his traveling tattoo stories were just what I needed to relax during the session. This gallery is one in a million and I will go back to visit Matt and everyone else there!

I got a great, sanitary piercing from Lucy! Answered any questions we had and we were in and out in 10 minutes. Made my 16th bday pretty special!

Would not recommend getting a piercing here. Very nice shop, the guy at the desk was very nice, but the piercer I had didn’t seem very experienced. I’m not sure of her name but she seemed very young. She used a standard one size nose piece that I had to get changed 3 days later because it was way too small (both the bar AND the jewel) and caused sinking into my nose because she didn’t account for swelling) my piercer back at home said that should have never been used for the healing process. Because of this my nose swelled up big time. She also told me to use regular soap to clean the piercing, when saline is the only thing that should be used on a new piercing. All in all, it was a 5 minute consultation with very little information, aftercare, or professionalism. She was a sweet girl, but needs a lot more knowledge because she can really cause damage. I wish I had chosen to get my piercing back home, it would have saved a lot of money and pain, but the reviews I read seemed good. I hate to be so negative but I feel others should be aware.

For starters Joe is freaking AWESOME and I have been getting tattoos from him for almost 5 years. He is an incredible artist and so so talented. Afton is so sweet she did a great job on my tongue piercing last week. Also whenever I had a question Afton and Lucy were very nice in answering any of my questions.

On recommendation from a friend, I went to go see Ursula to get my nostril pierced. The shop is bright, clean, has a good atmosphere, and everyone is friendly and relaxed. She explained everything very well and did a great job with the piercing - the anticipation of the pain level was way worse than the actual pain. Great experience!

Love this place! I’ve had 3 different piercings, and two changes of jewelry done (both by Afton and Ursula) at Heart in hand. Both of them are super nice, super easy to talk to and are both knowledgeable and gentle. Prices are fair, and they’ve got a lot of different jewelry to choose from. Totally recommend!

Ursula pierced me and stated that’s she worked here for a couple of days out the week. When I walked in they stated Ursula no longer worked here. (This was a sign) The piercer at the time blonde hair bangs can out with an attitude not in the mood. She stated to me that she can not swap out rings unless it’s 4 months I stated to her it has been longer than 4 months but can not remember the date. She then lied and stated to me “ you told me it’s been 2 months I have never told this lady 2 months she was very unprofessional and she was not inviting. The front desk guy seem not to care at all would not recommend this place at all. I guess they pierce when they are in the mood!

Afton is/was amazing! I got a piercing and many questions needed to be asked before someone takes this interesting kind of leap. She guided me through it all; Was patient with my questions— wasn’t condescending and “over it” when I’m pretty sure she’s asked this line of questioning everyday. Told me everything I needed to know. Super professional and put me at ease with her witty disposition. Will definitely recommend her!

I came here and got my ears double pierced and she did an awesome job!! My coworkers also got a piercing and she was super patient with them when deciding on their placement and stud. I just got a standard gold hoop but theres plenty of nicer options if you want quality jewelry. So far my ears have done fine and she explained how to take care of them and was very adamant about calling her if any problems arise. Super cute place. Im from out of town but would definitely come back for another if I could.

Met and got tattooed by Joe Haasch last week. Hes wonderful. We talked the whole time. Its very obvious he cares deeply about what hes putting on your body, and about his craft. Hes a terrific artist and a great person. I highly recommend him. The shop itself is super nice and clean too. Everyone here is kind. I love it.

Do NOT go to for piercing. The blonde GIRL that pierced my nose gave me 0 instructions. I partially blame myself for the keloid that developed b/c I should have done more research before I got a piercing but she put in a bar much too big that wiggles, twists, and falls out all on its own. She said “you don’t have to twist like earrings” which is true except she should have said “DO NOT TOUCH” and she said to wash with hand soap which every other piercer in the world will say not to do. It’s not her fault some manager thought she was cute and decided to give her the job with zero experience.When I called to ask what I should do about my keloid the guy who answered had no idea what a keloid was... that should be it’s own warning sign.

I recently came in and had a garter tattoo done by the TERRIFIC Joe Haasch! Not only did he translate my vision of the perfect garter wonderfully, he also gave great customer service throughout both of my sessions. He was extremely personable and simply a great human being! His artistry is second to none and he is the BEST they have! The shop overall is amazing as well. It is clean, sterile, and everyone collectively is very nice. Been going to Carl for my tatoos for over 10 years now (6 tattoos). All I can say is that that his professionalism and respect for the images are top notch. He is well studied in and well steeped in the tradition of tattoos, specifically American and Japanese (the roots). Trust him to design something custom for you. That is his sweet spot. However, hell take any idea (or lame internet reference) and make it bold and beautiful and it will stand the test of time. And if youre lucky, he may share his love of roots country and guitar playing with you.
