A pleasant area with no direct access by car. Frequented by cyclists and people walking the canal. Great spot to take a break. Direct access to the Potomac, and if the water is low enough, the bank would suffice for a overnight tenting spot in a pinch. A typical lockhouse marks the premises, along with the original lock structure, and a small new bridge.
A very beautiful scenic area. I pass by every year on my bicycle tour. Its also a very good area if youre into camping and hiking
GODS BLESSINGS!
