We went on a weekday for the 7:40 showing of Tenet. It was pretty empty besides one other couple. This was our first trip to the movies since they shut down in March. Seats were comfy as always. The theater was spotless! Popcorn was fresh. It was a great visit.

Clean and empty. Aware of precautions I felt from ticketing to seat. I felt safe to go here.

No ticket booth who’s idea was that, lifeless employees, 38$ overpriced visit, just bland and bad theatre in my opinion. My actual theatre was tiny maybe 20 seats in there and a small screen for The New Mutants. I usually skip Regal and go to AMC, Woodstock or the Drive In. Aesthetic, employees, vibe, prices and nearly everything could use a better modern redesign. Plus they have zero idea what to do for covid, not surprising when it’s only 2, 17 year olds working in there.

Comfortable,friendly,and concessions werent difficult to get like AMC theater.

My fav local theater. So much leg room!. Getting in and out of the isle is never a problem, even when people are sitting with their seat fully reclined!

Good movie but the popcorn tasted off and stale. Probably due to covid supplier issues.

Friendly people who work there . The seating was so comfortable I could fall asleep easily. Very clean seats, counters, bathrooms. The popcorn was so fresh. Love it. Cant wait to go back. Check it out.

This theater in Crystal Lake continues to be one of the best in our region. Feels like a local business with friendly staff (always) and a good escape with the latest films being shown. The staff above all keep me coming back to watch the latest in entertainment here!!!

Although the seats are comfortable and the service is good I do feel like when you go take a child to see a movie that you shouldnt have to wait 30 minutes for the movie to start just because theyre showing previews of other movies. By the time the movie started half the kids were tired of being there! And the light got turned off after the movie started about 10 minutes later.

Very nice employees. We were late to our movie, our pretzel bites were taking long to cook. A manager lady told us to go to the movie, shed bring our food. And she did, quite quickly. On our way out a young gentleman asked how our movie was, did we enjoy ourselves. We will def be back again.

Good place. Clean. Comfortable reclining seats. Minus one star cause cost for 2 people and a large pop was $40. Thats way to much to see one movie!!

My favorite place to see movies. The service can appear to be slow but thats because theres a long line. I like the reclining seats and its in a great location.

I was extremely upset with my last visit to the Crystal Lake theatre. After paying for my tickets, I went to get some waters and a popcorn. The cashiers at the counter were younger boys who were too busy joking around to help me out at first, which I didn’t mind too much but was a little annoying. Then after requesting two water cups I was told that there were no water cups so they would have to charge me $13 for two small cups with water in them. I let them know that I was willing to pay for the cup itself, but charging me for a soda that I wasn’t drinking didn’t seem fair. They refused to charge me any less than the $13 for a cup so I skipped the popcorn as well and won’t be back.

Good handicap access. Comfortable stadium seating. Very friendly and professional staff. Free refills on popcorn is nice.

I love this theater. I wish there was one closer to where I lived. The reclining seats are awesome. Plenty of leg space too.

Clean theater. Not a fan of the seats, though. Comfortable, but we purchased front row seats in a small theater and the seats didnt recline enough. We were so close the movie images were distorted. I couldnt walk straight after I left!

This was my 1st time going to this theater. The atmosphere was nice, friendly and clean. Parking was easy too and we got a spot near the main entrance. Kristi and I enjoyed the movie and we loved the reclining seats. Also, the bathrooms was fairly clean. The only bad thing is the fountain water was warm, distasteful and unbalanced. I still give them a 5 out of 5 stars.

Seats were terrible. Didnt realize till we got there. 2 rows from screen. But Management was very nice and let us schedule for another day.Very nice of them. Seats are very comfortable.

Not a bad theater, great movie selection. Girl at the food counter was very nice. Their bathrooms are clean and the movie theater chairs are very comfortable! Only thing is that the person who was giving me my tickets wasnt exactly friendly, he seemed a bit rude and just looked like he didnt want to be there. He couldve done a better job. Movie was good though.

Me and my brother go there every week cause the sound is good and chairs are comfortable been 3 years now we must be satisfied

Awesome theater, come all the time here. Seats are super comfy, always clean. Except last time coming to see a movie it was super hot and uncomfortable ... normally I bring blankets and wear sweats during the movie to be comfortable but it was so hot took my sweatshirt off and I was still sweating and super uncomfortable. Not normal but I definitely will be back hopefully that never happens again...

The theatre is well run, clean, and the concession stand is about what one expects. The seats are not as comfortable as other reclining seats Ive been in at other theatres.

My wife and I got gift cards for Christmas and went to use them for the 350 show... we got there around 345 but had to wait in the concessions line to buy tickets and of course popcorn and drinks, but when we tried to buy the tickets we were told we couldnt because the movie had started? It was 352 and that wed have to come back, so we asked for the manager thinking he would rectify the problem and he basically blew us off and said the same thing!!! Truly a joke, and there were 2 other seats taken in the whole theater which makes it even more ridiculous youd think theyd want to sell tickets not chase people away!!!

Edit: had to remove a star from my review after taking my kids to Frozen 2. The movie started a full 25 minutes after the posted time, including about fifteen minutes of commercials! Greedy and disrespectful of peoples time.This has been our theater for 30+ years now. Been coming here since I was a little kid waiting outside to but tickets to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Its been fun to watch it grow and change over the years.This is one of the nicer standard multiplexes in the area. Its no premium experience like IPIC, but it has much more comfortable recliners and steeper stadium seating than some nearby competitors.

Theaters are much smaller but the volume is set higher. Way too loud I have gone to concerts that weren’t this loud. It gave me a headache. Kid who helped us was less than thrilled to be working here. Stuck on chocolate all over my seat. Don’t think I will be back. Stick to mchenry, fox lake or Woodstock. Show to start at 3:15 it is now 3:27and show has not started

Although I love & appreciate Regal Crystal Lake, I do not appreciate the fact that tonight 11/26/19, they have decided to sell tickets at the concession stand. A process which used to take 5 seconds now takes 30 minutes. I guess I will be purchasing my tickets on line for AMC and go to Lake in the Hills from now now.

This nice well kept theater complex shows a good assortment of popular titles. I like this theater and it is my first choice when going to a movie.

We frequent this theater and have also held our sons birthday party here. Clean, staff is nice & prices are typical for a movie theater.

The recliners arent as large as the Lake in the hills theater but I think they are more comfortable. There is also more room between rows of seats. We saw toy story 4 tonight with my 10 month old and 4 yr old, it was a pleasant experience. We didnt need a ticket for the 10 month old since he doesnt require his own seat yet. Prices were a little lower than LITH as well.

Great experience, good prices. Comfortable, reclining seats. Lots of leg room. The food was delicious. All beef, high quality hot dog. The onion rings were warm and crispy, not at all greasy. Great customer service, very friendly staff.

After Jumanji being out for 3-4 weeks I didnt expect a 4:30 on a thursday to be sold out except front row! We usually look ahead of time but we didnt think it would be crowded at all. So we settled for front row, get in the actual theatre room and its so tiny it has like 5 rows total! No wonder it was pretty much sold out but for real they shouldnt have the front row. Instead of having a MASSIVE isle in between the top rows and bottom rows they should have no front row and an extra row in that stupid unnecessary amount of space. Had to return our tickets after 5 minutes of previews our heads were splitting. Never get front row tickets here, and always look ahead of time because apparently their theatres are tiny. And for 9 (almost 10$) a ticket you should be comfortable. Staff was nice enough but should have warned us about the front row.

This is one of the few theaters we frequent when heading out for a movie. While I do prefer our theater in Lake in the Hills, this location comes in as a close second. Parking is never an issue. Popcorn is always hot. Staff is always pleasant. I suppose the only negative I have is the cosmetic appearance. I think this location needs a little freshening up. Again, nothing major, just an opinion. Great theater, but it takes second place in my book.

As always I love going to the movies and the Crystal Lake Regal Cinemas is my favorite place to go! I always have fast service and meet nice employees. The best part is the joining the Regal Rewards Club and earning points for going to the movies that you can apply toward your food purchases (saving money) or you can receive free merchandise or purchase merchandise. The choice is yours based on your points and selection. Lets get back to the cinema, its always clean and in working condition. I never worry about it being dirty or crazy. The additional movie goers are always nice and friendly.

The staff was super kind and accommodating, and the seats in the theater were relaxing. Didnt enjoy the popcorn, it was dry and the parking lot was a tad smaller than most. I also hate the fact, that I was out of cash and they had no ATM .

This place is super clean every time we come and the seating is so nice and comfy! The food is perfect movie theatre food too not stale or anything. Every time we come everyone has been so nice and talkative.

Weve visited this theater several times and always been satisfied with the experience. Today, however, as I, literally, walked in the door, the power went out for the entire building (there was a storm). They took fast action (Manager Dan?) and did their best to accomodate patrons who unfortunately, had their movies cut short. I was not able to stay, but came back several hours later... the power STILL was not back on. I really needed to get ticket that day as part of a promotion that included a free poster that was almost ended. The supervisor (lady sitting at the door) spoke with me and accomodated the free promotional item, even with the issues still ongoing. I felt blessed and appreciated that they took the time to honor my small request among all their much larger issues. To me, its not about everything being perfect, things happen, and thats normal. Its about if a company will make a good effort to fix things when they do go wrong and have a good attitude about it. I think they did just that.

Seats need to recline more. Besides that great picture and sound

We come here quite often.The way they redid the theater a while ago looks great. It is very nice and up to date. You can really enjoy coming here with family or on a date and have a great time.

The recliners would be better if they reclined your back. Otherwise they have a friendly staff, always helpful as well. I was inna situation where I couldnt see a movie. So they readmitted the ticket for the next day. Thank you.

Saw the 5:20 pm show of It part 2 on Friday the 13 the. I havent been here in years and I may not go back. The guy at the ticket counter with part blue hair was rude. We asked about the loyalty card and he didnt want to exsplain to us. The popcorn was great so was the person serving it. Now the movie was good except for whoever is in charge of the lights didnt turn them off for like 25 minutes till some guy got up and told them. Then some girls a couple rows behind me wouldnt stop using the phones. I told the usher and he did nothing. So basically had a half as* time.

Big leather seats that recline and less people per theater. Its at the point where movie theaters are blending together. Good sleep of arcade games for those stuck waiting. Kids movie we saw had a few talkers and kids vocally exited to be there. One person was an amazing slob and trashed their area pretty good when we were walking out.

During one of todays showings the power went out. This was obviously not the fault of the theater. The response however was less than great. People were left to sit in their seats for 15 minutes without direction. Someone finally did come in and tell everyone to go to the hallways. Another 15 minutes went by without any idea what the guests should do. People were left to try and find a theater associate for direction as to whether they should wait or come back another time. All information came by word-of-mouth after people went to the front end. The only associate that most people ever saw was who I can only assume was the manager on duty. She spent her time running full speed through the hallways yelling on the phone and at other associates as if the guests were invisible. She berated one employee in front of a bunch of us sitting in the hallway. Then proceeded to yell at the staff behind the concessions to tell them to get moving as if she was leading them to war. Everyone standing in line at guest services was wondering what was going on. Again, a power outage during a storm is nothing the theater can control. The response however is in their hands.

I left my phone here on the arm of my chair in a theater and it was never found...I had called the next day only a couple hours after it opened and apparently there wasnt anything which is very suspicious because the movie I watched that night was the last showing. On top of that, I found out that they donate the lost merchandise if they find it and noone shows up to claim it in a very short amount of time. I dont trust this establishments crew and Im pretty disappointed to find out that they give away these peoples lost items.

Bad seating. The chairs were uncomfortable and smelled terrible. 8 dollar price for matinee. At Cinema 12 in carpenters ville I could get a matinee for 4 dollars. The cleaning guy was also sitting on his phone, not doing his job. Also there was 30 minutes of previews. 30 MINUTES OF PREVIEWS. Way to much!

Just left the theater and this may be a minor point but the popcorn was the worst weve ever had there or anywhere. Not sure what happened. Ordered a large and tossed most of it. The movie was good and everything else.

Not a bad theater. The recliners just dont go back enough and actually stopped right in a very awkward spot. AMC in Lake in the Hills is much better

Took our special education program here for a community trip, and it was a great experience! They were so accommodating and helpful. Dan and Dave were a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend :)

This place is great! And now they have a deal for only $21 a month you can watch unlimited movies! That cost just a little less than 2 movies!!!! Recliners!!!! Dont fall asleep lol! And dont forget free refills on sodas!

I hate to say this but they caught me off guard here with how wonderful this theater is.I was staying at a hotel across the street for business when i first came here on a quiet afternoon.From the outside looking in it appears to be nothing more then a rundown dollar cinema when in actuality the inside is anything but that.Great seats. Fantastic sounds, excellent view in every single seat.

Nice place, consistent good experience. Easy parking, staff are helpful. Can reserve tickets / seats in advance. Good after movie, before food choices nearby. They show some anime once a month and other things, I think Opera and special events are telecast. Cant go wrong with this first run movie theater.

Large relaxing theater seats. Electronically raised and lowering seats with large cup holders. Popcorn was fresh and expensive. I thought the sound could have been louder bit it was enjoyable. Park on the north side of the building. Its a longer walk in but when you leave you exit closer to you car.

Well kept cozy updated movie theater. Always clean and inviting place. Staff is usually chipper. A pointer not to forget with this movie theater, order tickets and pick your seats ahead of time. You might get stuck with your only options being the first two rows. Which are up front and center a little to close to fully enjoy. Early bird gets the worm.
