Interesting course lots of elevation changes which also means lots of opportunities to practice those up hill and down hill lies. Greens were quick and the description of undulating is right on target for this course. The course is in good condition but like most area courses the sand traps need some help.Very friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful course off of 176 in Crystal Lake. Well maintained and perfect for some late season golf. Had the privilege of filming a golf outing recently with my drone and was very impressed.

My first time playing here and this is by far, my favorite golf course. The ranger wasnt too pushy and very friendly. Asked us how we were doing when we came to golf the back 9. Really friendly staff. The pace of play was pretty solid for us. For a golfer such as my self. As a beginner/intermediate, the course provides a pretty solid challenge. Wide fareways. A few water hazards a nice change in elevations as well. Course is well maintained. 5 out of 5 hands down. I will for sure be back. Highly recommend if youre looking for a solid fun course.

I was there for a fundraiser which was awesome. The staff here are friendly, helpful and very hilarious. I enjoy this every year. I actually won 2 raffles this year.

Course is challenging. Well taken care of. Would give 5 stars but I didnt tee off on a level tee box all day. Played from the blues and the ball was either above or below my feet each time.

Very well maintained course for the price. Would be five stars but course play was incredibly slow (worst Ive ever experienced) - never noticed or saw a marshall working to keep people moving.

This is a great layout, with some excellent views. The grounds crew does a great job, an overall great value. Look for 56 degree lob wedges in the trees, they seem to grow like pinecones.

In my opinion, Prairie Isle is the best golf course in McHenry county that is open to public. I always find the course very enjoyable to play while offering whole bunch of terrain - from uphill downhill to island-ish greens. The turf is well maintained as well. However they do not have range for quick warm up. My fav is 8th hole - very pretty.

My favorites, Least well known golf course in the northwest suburbs. Hills, lakes, fields and trees galore. Get ready for beautiful views and get ready to lose some balls.

Rude ranger said we were backing up course yet the foursome behind was a hole behind us!.We teed off and nobody was in front of us yet he told us that the foursome was more than a hole in front of us. Played front 9 in 2 hours, never going back.

Not maintained very well. The cart paths are falling apart as well as some other outdoor structures. The beer cart was almost non existent on such a hot day

This is a really nice muni course. Plenty of challenges to be had. Very nice staff. Always feel at home here.

The course is very poorly managed in terms of customer services. We made a tee time for twilight 3:00 and arrived early, putted around and hit chip shots etc. It looked like it might rain and the new head pro Quentin Grasso told us that if it rains there are no rain checks for twiilight golf. There was nobody on the tee and the course was wide open, we asked the pro if we could just tee off now and he stated no, not unless you pay the full rate. 3 of us paid the extra fees and one player was very upset about the way Quentin spoke with us and just asked for a refund and left.The net result for the course was $21.00 loss of revenue. Anyway it left a rather bad taste with us as we know that most courses are much more customer service oriented. They just lost at least 4 good customers as there are many other courses to play with management in place that understands the importance of customers having a good experience. Rather sad.
