Didnt know that Cincinnati had a bridge that was the twin of the Brooklyn bridge. The hotel we stayed at was right next to the bridge. Allowed for awesome views day and night. A very busy place on both ends. Easy access to stadiums and riverfront areas. Murals on Kentucky side along the river. Statues also to explain the history of the area Very picturesque, many photographers set up at dusk to get the perfect picture.

The inspiring history and importance of Roebling Suspension Bridge is certainly rivaled or matched by the beauty of this historic structure as well as the privilege to walk across the bridge and experience the flow of the Ohio River underneath and the magnificent sight of the Queen City of Cincinnati on one side in Ohio and the Newport and Covington cities on the other in Kentucky! Both the site by day and site by night are breathtaking!

This isnt just any bridge! Its a historical landmark surrounded by things to do. Parks and restaurants in Covington and Cincinnati. If the sights and sounds (just listen to the bridge itself!) arent enough, the smells from the restaurants and the excitement of the nearby stadiums are worth a walk across this bridge.

I read about this bridge in a travel book that I have so I added it to my list of things I wanted to see. I was visiting a friend and we went to Cincinnati so we decided we would check this bridge out. We ended up taking Bird’s (electric scooters) across the bridge and it was definitely worth it. The views from both sides of the bridge were awesome! Also, the bridge wasn’t super crowded so having the scooters on it wasn’t a problem. If you have some time to kill when you’re in Cincinnati or Covington, I’d definitely recommend walking, or Birding, this bride - it’s well worth it.

Just visiting an came down town the kids wanted to walk the bridge. It was crowd cause it was after an home baseball game. But the view was nice, the breeze was wonderful the only thing I hated was the way u came is the same way u have to go back. Only one side u walk back and forth on. But I loved the walk and we got to meet some wonderful people on the bridge.

Its like the London bridge in Cincinnati. I think it is closed for sometime on Labour day as there is fireworks show that day. But this event is a must. You can see the birds forming different formation in the sky when they fly from the bridge. Best time to visit is in evening when it is lighted up. You are allowed to walk on the bridge. Also can wave to the people taking the cruise in Ohio River.

The John A Roebling Suspension Bridge is an incredible bridge in both history and beauty. It took 10 years to complete. This was due to having to stop construction because of the Civil War. Thats right the Civil War. Thats 153 years of standing tall and proud. And the locals love her. They have created areas on both sides(Covington & Cincinnati) that are great for families. Parks, murals, statues, historical homes, restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores(I swear Im not exaggerating) all wait to be explored. The bridge is a giant photo op and she is photogenic. One last thing and its the most important. The area is safe. Ive been to both sides countless times in my life and never had any issues. Now go see the bridge. Shes history...shes beautiful...shes worth the time. A couple pics from Blink 2019.

Amazing spot!! The bridge crosses over the Ohio river from Covington, Ky. to Cincinnati, OH. Theres parks on both sides of the river for the kids to play. Perfect for picnics with amazing views of the water & cities. The bridge is beautifully lit up at night, and you can hear the cars roar across the bridge 24/7. Yes, you can see though the wires while on the bridge to the river below, which is where the roar or humming sounds come from. Really cool!

We were expecting to be able to walk across the bridge, but sadly, when we were there, the bridge was closed due to structural issues. We were able to walk along the side for a little, but we could not go far. We were not able to drive along it either, which was something we were looking forward to. Nonetheless, it is a pretty cool piece of history, definitely worth checking out if you have time.

Nice bridge with protected pedestrian paths on each side. We crossed from KY to OH over the purple people bridge and came back on this one.Lucked out because the traffic lanes were closed so technicians could work on lighting and sound for a city wide light show later in the week. The vehicle deck on the bridge is steel so I imagine it can be noisy when cars are on it.

Being afraid of heights I normally dont walk across bridges lol. This morning it was either wait 40 min for the next bus or walk across this here bridge. Ill just start by saying idk where people get the idea that if you face your fear youll get over it right away. That is definitely not the case for me. From the first step onto the bridge to my last step off I was terrified! I have no idea how people bike, jog, and walk across this bridge daily! Especially at 5 in the morning! I was able to make it across the bridge without having a panic attack by taking pictures. The bridge is a bridge. I didnt feel any movement when people in cars drove by (I was terrified I might). I wish the rails were a little higher but thats just me. You can take some beautiful scenic shots of the Cincinnati and Covington sides. So um yea use it or dont lol.
