Always a good time at Stir Cove. I love the different bands that are booked - there is a band/artist for every single person, every season.Lines can get long for food & beverages but the staff work as quickly & efficiently as possible to get everyone served.Bring cash as only a couple stands are set up for cards. Get there early to ensure a good spot for you & your chair.
I love this venue! Good view from most anywhere here. They also gave very special treatment to my boyfriend when he tore his ACL and was on crutches! They helped us up to a seat on the porch were we didn’t have to worry about him being stepped on or trampled. Kind friendly staff!
Got to see COIN, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Young the Giant! Concert venue is an open air space behind Harrahs. Event staff did the best they could with lighting delaying the show 2.5 hours. Still enjoyed the show, but would have appreciated periodic updates from Stir Cove in the waiting area or on FB.
Stir cove is an outdoor concert venue thats big enough to attract some great names in music but small enough to feel like every spot is just a few rows back from front row. Classic overpriced drinks are available for purchase inside and there is a decent food selection if youre hungry. Show up extra early if you want to reserve the best spots or get tickets on the deck to have the best view and drinks brought to you.
This is a nice venue where you can watch a show in the pit right up on the stage, or bring a chair and relax on the grass. It isnt too cramped. The toilets arent too far away. There are decks you can sit on.But lines for drinks are always far too long. Most people want beers, so I wish there were shorter line options at the food vendors for water and soda.
Saw a couple pretty big bands last night. Bush and Live. They both rocked the joint to a sold out show which seems to be the case every time we go. One of the hottest little spots in the country. We are blessed to have the Cove!!
Loved our experience! we saw in this moment, and was probably up in the top 5 concerts Ive been to. the grounds were well kept and getting in and out was pretty easy.
Stir Cove is a great outdoor music venue. They have places to sit and a turf to stand on down by the stage. Theres food at the venue and drinks and they take card or cash. Plenty of bathrooms and parking isnt terrible. They get some really big acts there and different genres throughout the summer.
Love this venue. They always do a great job getting people through security quickly. Friendly staff. Drinks are expensive but thats to be expected at just about any concert venue. Oklahoma Joes (one of the food vendors) is definitely worth the price, its great BBQ, if you have to eat inside the venue. ;)
Such a fun place for friends to watch live music! Check their calendar for great bands
Very nice outdoor venue. Fun spot to watch concerts.
Love the venue. I always try to pay attention to whos coming through. Bring your lawn chairs for sure. They could do better by having the merch tents inside the venue and they really need improve the drink selection. Not a single IPA or Stout available. Food is provided by local restaurants and while limited is good.
Earth, Wind and Fire were fabulous. Stir Cove always pulls out all the stops with shows. We really enjoyed it. Just wish water was cheaper than $4.00 a bottle. Other than that one minor thing we had a great time and will come back many many more times!!!!
Venue is awesome! It was kinda tough being in a wheelchair. Staff were amazing but it was not easy finding a spot that I was able to see the stage. My biggest complaint was leaving the parking garage. We sat for 45 minutes before moving. It wasnt until a nice gentleman started directing traffic that it smoothly flowed. So thanks to him! Maybe bring someone in to do that regularly?
Wonderful concerts...quick entry into the cove and some wonderful choices for food, burgers...
First off, it was a nice cool night in the end of August so that set the night up well. Plenty of toilets and the line moved quickly. The pathways were well lit and i liked that they had a smokers area complete with toilets for them outside of the concert entrance. I appreciated that Stir Cove acknowledged that being an issue with families. The lighting was just right and the sound quality was well mixed. Just watch out for the uncoordinated people with armfuls of beers moving amongst the chairs.
AWESOME VENUE!!! Love that you can get so close to the stage (come early), that its outdoor, & the great artist that play there!!! Drinks are not cheap but if you plan accordingly you should be in good shape.
Nice venue. General admission works perfect. Plenty of space if you want to bring a chair or if you want to stand near the stage. Handicap accomodations are good. Only improvement would be an increase in beer vendors. One of the concerts I went to this year took too long to get a beer.
They were set up really well! Love going to concerts at places where they know what they are doing.
We had a great time going to a concert at Stir Cove. We enjoyed listening to Diana Ross. She always has a good show. Lucky the temperature went down and a breeze made the night great. We found parking and were able to get out after concert easily. Great place to go for outside concert.
This is a nice small outdoor venue outside the Harrahs casino hotel. When I say outside I mean the stage is LITERALLY right next to hotel room windows. We opted to stay in Omaha and not at the Harrahs as we were visitors to the area from Kansas City and wanted to enjoy the area from the center of the action. The Uber drop off after the show is a bit of a walk to the front of the casino where we witnessed security from the casino running and chasing out a patron yelling you are banned for life! The venue itself is nice and cozy and you can get a great view of the stage from many areas. Lawn chairs are allowed in, but clear small bags only. This is a NO SMOKING public place and they are fast to stop the ones that did in a kind way. Food vendors and drink stands are abundant, so the show was great! However if I was here for the casino and not the show, I do not think k I would always be ecstatic over having a stage outside my window. I wonder how they sell those rooms even.
Bought tix for the Bud lite balcony. Wouldnt spend the extra money for this again. Unless youre there early to get a spot at the rail, youre still looking over people in front of you. Balcony located to the side of the stage, which didnt offer a better view. Equipment covered by a canopy, which blocks the view. Supposed to have your own waitress. Good luck with that. We went down and got our own beer. Way faster. The overall venue is good. Just dont pay for anything but general admission tickets, its not worth the money.
Not a bad place to see an outdoor show in the Omaha metro area. The back drop of the hotel is a bit odd, but the sound works out to be reasonably good. Parking can be an issue at time so park in back.
Saw Calum Scott, Echosmith and Penatonix! They were amazing. Wish the mosquitoes wouldnt have been so bad!!!
Went with family to the Goo Goo Dolls and Train concert. Great outdoor venue in a cool location. Great sound, cool stage, several bars and two places to have an overhead view of the stage. I really enjoyed this concert and I would definitely go back. Highly recommend checking out a concert at this venue.
Overall just an awesome venue with really helpful and nice staff that dont mind putting up with the metal crowd! Great angled bowl shape so you can see from everywhere and its all grass with blankets and chairs allowed in certain spots. Bonus of a casino where you can get free cold drinks (if youre 21+) after the show and a good bite to eat
Had such a good time with my kids. Its a family friendly venue. Highly secure and safe. Very recommended.
Great concert! But need to be able to hear the vocals better. Guitar was primarily heard and I came for vocals 1st, guitar 2nd.
Fun venue on the Missouri River and attached to Harrahs. Great acts during the summer concert season. Bring a lawn chair, stand near the stage, get the VIP area, or sit on the hill like I do, every location is a good spot to see the stage. No backpacks or large bags. Enjoy.
Nice outdoor venue. Bring bug spray though.
Great concert venue, I have seen many acts here. You can actually get up close to the stage without getting trampled or you can choose to bring a bag/folding chairs to sit on. Always a good time.
Had fun on lawn listening to concert. Crowd pretty low key
This is a cool venue to enjoy a summer concert. Good food and drink selection. Only bummer is how long it takes to leave the parking garage after.
Helpful staff in a beautiful venue
Best venue around! Cant say enough good things about this place! If youve never experienced a show here, youre missing out! Love it! Council Bluffs Rocks!
Came here to see Wu Tang. This is an excellent venue for concerts. Wu Tang put on an amazing show, but the sound guy was only so so. Still 5 stars because the show was so BEAST!!!
If you love outdoor concerts like I do, Stir Cove is a fab venue. Reasonable beer prices, friendly beverage servers, fresh air....its an unbeatable combination! I was so excited to see Chicago (again!) that we arrived early to sit front row. I didnt take into account that the venue would be completely full and folks who would have sat in their chairs were now standing in front of me! Oh well, all I had to was stand up to see the band. All in all, a GREAT time!
Great outdoor venue with good sound and great acts. Easy to park. Some dining options before the show right at the casino. We saw Ben Harper and Trombone Shorty. Amazing show. Will be back for more shows. Alcohol a little pricy but not unexpected at a concert.
Love this place. Prices have increased, but I love the atmosphere for concerts.
The venue was amazing! Definitely bring lawn chairs/blankets unless you want to be down in the pit and weather would be a huge factor, but it was very well staffed and set up, will definitely be back
Ringo star was a little before my time, but that didnt stop them from rocking the night away! Got to hear tons of songs I never dreamed I would get hear or see performed live. Great date night, great music, will definitely be back
I went to my first concert here to see The Goo Goo Dolls and Train. Because of flooding, one of the parking lots wasnt available so we had to park in the garage. Parking there wasnt too bad, but after the show we sat there for over half an hour because of post-concert traffic. We brought chairs and that worked out well. While we were standing in line a security guard checked our IDs and gave us wrist bands. When we got closer to the entrance, we were told to take our chairs out of their carrying bags. At this point the line was moving quickly. So we had to walk as we took them out, pause while the chairs, bag, and our regulation clear vinyl purses were checked, and then keep walking. If they can check our IDs while were standing still, why cant they check the chairs then as well? Another security note. They sell bottled water but they open the bottle and pour the water into a plastic cup. So if youre buying food and drinks at the same time, you might not have enough hands!! And once youre in the concert area, there are only porta potties so be prepared. While it might sound like Im only talking about the negative aspects, I actually had a great time. The bands were great and the weather cooperated so it was a fantastic way to sit outside, have a beer or 2, and listen to music. Theres a great lineup this year so hopefully Ill get to go again.
Great venue. Great music.Clear rules about allowed items and re-entry. Short lines for food and beverages. Plenty of port-a-potties.
Great show Chris Young even if it felt like 100 degrees tonight.
Concert was great. Drinks were expensive. Took over an hour to even move to leave the parking lot. Two hours from when the concert was over and we finally got out of there.Dont plan on leaving at a reasonable time, I guess. And make sure you have enough gas in your tank
Awesome, 1st time in a long time experience. JUST how i remembered it. Security and staff was nice a cool. And of course, the concert was spectacular.
Small but just enough room to enjoy a concert the outdoor atmosphere.. however felt drinks were too expensive. Had a wonderful time at Diana Ross concert ️
We saw Jon Pardi last night and paid extra to stand at the Bud Party Deck..what an absolute waste of money! The only pro to this area is there is a cocktail waitress. Unfortunately, there was only 1, sometimes 2, so it took a while to get drinks and the process was really chaotic so they hardly ever got our drink orders correct. The cons are, you can barely see the stage and there are no speakers facing that area so the sound is awful. IMO those are 2 really big factors at a concert and to pay extra for that area just doesn’t make sense. So I’d say, save your money and get GA.
Not very happy with stir cove after the last concert we went to. It actually starts with the fact that they didnt post the correct start time for the concert (everywhere online said 8, when we got there at 7:30 the first band was already playing) when we got into Harrahs, we noticed everyone was coming inside, when we asked another concert goer they said there was lightening and that the concert was postponed. We sat for THREE HOURS with no information as to when the concert was going to start or if they were just going to cancel. Even the security staff said if the concert doesnt start by 10PM it would get cancelled because there just wasnt enough time for the bands to play by then. At about 9:30PM we saw movement by the doors so we went up and stood for about 10 minutes until finally being told this was just to let the people who left their lawn chairs outside come get them. We waited another 20 minutes until 10PM and finally left. As we got back into Omaha, we checked the Stir Cove Twitter one last time to see if they had officially cancelled the concert, to our surprise they actually announced the concert was going to be back on. We heard from other people who actually stuck around that they said the concert was going to start soon but didnt and when it finally did the bands rushed to play their 30 minutes (which is per the Stir Cove policy that as long as the bands play for 30 minutes, no refund will be given)I understand when you buy tickets for an outdoor event you should be wary of the weather and buyer beware but this all seemed so shady and shows what they really think about their customers.I also called to complain the following business day and got sent to a supervisors voicemail. I left a message as I was instructed by the first person I talked to and NEVER got a call back from them.Ive been going to Stir Cove since I was young, but I dont think Ill be going back anytime soon.
Porter Potties are all at one end of the arena and not enough for the amount of people that are onsite. The line for mixed drinks is more than 50 people long all night. Not enough security for the drunkards that were at this particular concert. Not my favorite venue for concerts at all!!! But they do get great artists/band there.
The best concert venue this town has seen for the last 5+ years!
Outdoor concerts are super fun, and Stir Cove is a nice enough venue. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because of their cash only policy for drinks. That being said, the bar staff is super friendly and move as quickly as they can, which makes standing in line for ages less miserable. Overall, I recommend Stir Cove. Just make sure you have cash.
The absolute worst place to see a concert. The venue is nice but if there is any bad weather then you are completely out of luck. No, the venue cannot control the weather but they should be able to control their attempts to communicate with the crowd and the people that have paid to see a show. Instead, they will simply push you into the casino and tell you that the show has to be over by 11 regardless of weather. I wont waste my time or money again.
Arrived at Stir cove for Goo Goo Dolls show about an hour before the show started. We were told by parking security that there was no parking at the venue. It was full already. This guy told us to go park at HOOTERS by the Mid America Center (3 miles away). We double checked with the guy, since that sounded completely ridiculous, but he ASSURED us that there would be a shuttle there to take us back to the venue. We parked at Hooters, and asked the hostess about the shuttle. She looked at us like we were crazy. So we left and went to the Mid America Center parking lot instead. We saw a shuttle for the casino pull into a nearby lot, so we RAN to catch it. We had to flag him down on the road and ask him to give us a ride to the venue. He assured us we would have a ride back to our car at the end of the night. We waited almost 2 HOURS after the show for a shuttle. The bus that they were using (yes, ONE SHORT BUS) had 14 seats on it and room for about 12 more standing passengers. The ancient driver told us he wouldnt allow more than the 14 seats to be full, so we watched this bus take about 6 trips with only 14 people on board while we waited. When we finally did get on board, I swear to jeebus it was the worst bus ride Ive ever had. This dude hit no less than 4 curbs at speed in the 15 minute drive to the parking lot. I watched a young girl hit her head on the window so hard, I think she got a concussion. The people around her (myself included) offered help, but the driver just kept on hitting curbs like it was his job.At the concert, the beer lines were atrocious. It took an hour to get one beer. The fact that they HAD to be poured into cups was annoying as well. And whos idea is it to allow people to bring chairs and blankets to a sold out show? Overall, incredibly poorly managed venue.
Amazing venue! I felt like we were right on top of the band. The sound was amazing. They had a wide assortment of drinks and beers and food.
The venue has plenty of drink and food vendors. Seating seems to be a mix of bring your own lawn chairs and standing. Saw Wutang there. It was awesome
Always a great time at concerts here!
Fun outdoor venue! Plan to arrive reaaaaaly early and wait in line to get a good spot. Bring your own chairs. Drinks are pricey.
Nice outdoor venue. Plenty of green space to put a chair or blanket down (not all concerts).Lots of food choices, too.
Awesome venue! Staff is friendly and efficient. Great traffic management post concert!
Lots of fun, entering the venue could be a little easier but the show was great for being outside.
Everyone was cool and friendly. Only problem is after the show we sat in line in the parking garage trying to leave for 45 mins, and moved 2 car lengths. They should work on this.
Usually love his venue and get pit passes.. but Jon Pardi was wayyyyy too packed in pit. Definitely oversold too many tickets, literally took me 15 minutes to find a path back to the center.
Not a bad venue. Sometimes sound is spotty but its outdoors so understandable. Usually a perfect size for their shows!
I will never EVER attend a show here ever again. This is the most poorly managed venue I have ever been to. The tickets said the concert started at 8 and had no doors info. Lucky we showed up early because doors were at 6 and the first band went on at 7. Then we saw lightning and they cut the first bands set after 15 minutes and ushered us inside to wait for 2 HOURS with NO INFO. Rumors started flying about how the show would have to be shortened due to local noise ordinances (which turned out to be untrue) but the staff didnt seem to know anything. The second band played a shortened set and then started tearing down the stage. We were on the way out and, on a whim, asked a staff member if the other band would be playing and it turns out they were though this was never announced.A terrible experience and I will never recommend attending a concert, event, or any use of this facility. I will never gamble, drink, eat or stay here and I will actively direct people away from it.DO NOT COME HERE.
Friendly and helpful staff and Brad who was in charge of our deck made sure we were taken care of during the concert and even afterwards to get to our shuttle bus for our ride back to a different hotel. Definitely will be back again!!!
Concert was great traffic control was horrifyingly bad. 60+ minutes stuck in a parking garage with traffic not moving. If you go get a hotel room and leave the next day.
Love going to the Store Cove on a nice evening and checking out a Awesome show. Ringo Starr and the All Star Band!!! Cant wait to hit the Sports Book !!!! Go Iowa!!!
Saw Bush and Live and Our Lady Peace here. Was an amazing venue to watch a concert. no bad place to be!
Great outdoor venue. Gary Clark Jr rocked the house!
Stir Cove is a typical outdoor venue. They have places to buy food and drinks all along the outside of the venue. Prices are typical for that of a concert. There is also a merchandise stand right by when you come in. Folding chairs are allowed at most shows but large bags and purses are not unless they are clear. See their website for actual measurements. I dont bring a chair when I go, we just sit on the hill. I wish there was a way they could make the hill more friendly for people who have a harder time walking. It is very uneven, even for a grassy area. If you are a smoker, be aware that you will need your ticket to get out to the smoking area as they scan you out, then scan it again when you go back in. I do enjoy the different shows they have here. Usually the weather is great!! I hope to go to more shows in the coming years.
Venue did an excellent job... the coheed show was amazing. But the venue made the experience that much better!
Great Venue to see a show.
Its crazy how great this place is. So slept on. Great venue for audio and for social component.
The venue wouldnt refund our tickets when security said to leave. There was a severe thunderstorm and 75% of the people at the venue left because the security said that we wouldnt be seeing a show tonight. The concert started up again at 1030 pm and the bands rushed through their setlist. Definitely lowest on my list of shows I have ever been to.
I bought 3 tickets for the party pit at the front of the stage and was unable to get in because people wouldn’t move from the entrance to it. When we did finally get in it was even harder to get out to get a drink or go to the bathroom. So we ended up not going back in when we went out to use the bathroom. I think they need to have security telling people to move from the entrance of the pit so it might be a little easier to get in and out. Or limit the number of pit tickets they sell to a smaller number. Needless to say I will never go back to stir cove.
Great show social d killed it like always and the devil makes three was great. Always a great venue and great staff
Excellent venue. Get there early if you want to bring your own chair. It fills up fast!
Great ambience! The people are what make it so enjoyable besides the AwEsOmE bands! Love seeing musicians who still love what they do! Candlebox brought it and Tesla ROCKED IT! Need to chill on beer prices though. Shenanigans there. Wouldnt have minded to try a couple slots after, but all could do was blow the dust out of my pocket book after just a couple of beers. Had to tip also. Those ladies were busting it!
It was good but they should of kept a stall for only beer and one for special drinks to avoid a long line.
Great venue. Beautiful outside area with amazing sounds. I will definitely be going back.
They need to make sure there is a path out of the standing room only section around the sound equipment, otherwise awesome. Love stir cove.
OMG! went to see Gary Clark Jr. he was awesome and the venue is absolutely amazing. you can see well from anywhere, close to the bathrooms and beer stands.
Enjoyed A Day To Remember here. Couple fans would be nice but its outside and in the evening so I get it.
Nice, open concert venue. Sound quality was good and plenty of staff and and bathrooms.
Severe weather alert from 730pm-8pm. Concert is supposed to be at 8. Warning was cancelled. They ushered everyone inside at 730pm. Havent told anyone if the concert is cancelled and its now 832pm. Drove 3 hours for this and would like to know do we wait in the hallway all night waiting for a show? It took an hour for security to clear fire lanes in this already over packed area. I would appreciate communication on the part of concert cove. This is just bad management practices at best. Also, curious of the maximum occupancy of this room.
I watch the shows from my apartment rooftop and they are still great. At the venue is a lot more fun with the atmosphere but on nights I cant make it this is a great alternative. The shows are always national acts that are easily recognizable.
Parking is terrible for events. Took 30min to get out of the parking garage and parking lot. Only one way out for the garage and the lots. Only one exit for the garage as well. Stir Cove was pretty awesome though. But the parking situation is enough to make me not want to go back.
Venue is nice, parking is AWFUL. Spent longer getting out of parking garage after show than the concert headline played (75 minute show, 100 minutes to get out of the garage).
Good place to catch a concert. Leaving the venue is horrible. Not very organized
Chicago was awesome! Plus loved the atmosphere of Stir Cove! This was my first time here for a concert & absolutely had an excellent time!
Great band!! Dont buy the tickets for the Bud light deck, which are more expensive cause the sound and view is definitely not worth the extra money!
There really isnt a bad seat anywhere.
Good venue for live music. Good sound and good view from just about everywhere. Dont like that you cant get right up to stage anymore because they charge more. Also dont like less space for chairs.
Really great venue and Neck Deep and Blink-182 were awesome
