Had a blast at the LaSells Center. Neat, clean, and well organized event. Highly recommend catching Brandon Marsalis in concert if you get a chance! All the quartet were super friendly, funny, and entertaining! Can’t wait to surprise my wife with another trip to Corvallis to see these guys in concert again. Go Ducks!!!
Great auditorium area for meetings and presentations. They have some beautiful artwork on display which gives the main room a unique feel.
Large, clean, not really anything to criticize about this auditorium. There is regular ground and balcony seating. The acoustics are pretty good.
Attended the OSU Small Farms Conference here in February. A really nicely laid out conference center with plenty of parking next door in the stadium lot.
Really nice auditorium/concert hall and the upkeep is very clear. The greenery around the building is also really pretty too. They always host the high school state band competitions and there has never been complaints about the location. The rooms can get a little cramped when fitting bands into them, but I understand that that is not their original purpose.
Really clean and easy to access facility. If youre looking for a great place to book a conference/event, this is it.
Nice acoustics, assigned seating, enjoyable venue for a concert at. At least the concert we attended allowed free parking at Resers lot.
Very nice facility. Each year we go for the state band and orchestra championships for high school. So glad to have this resource available
Great place for conferences or band/performance venues. Because I am in a choir, I see the *other* side of the center, and it is a great place to perform, with a nice stage and plenty of room to prepare in or have exhibits. There is lovely local art lining the walls of the lobby, which adds a great touch. The staff are definitely helpful and I highly recommend this place for a performance or conference. Also great seats and visibility.Enjoy :)
Attended the Oregon State H.S. band contest. On the OSU campus and therefore parking at a premium ( we paid $10 at the parking structure to the north of LaSells. Enjoyed our visit and the facility. Only wished they had a snack bar on site....
There are some places about the center that are constantly being updated (like the art exhibits in the lobby), but some things like seats and one set of bathrooms feel outdated and uncomfortable. In the auditorium itself there is always a slight static noise coming from the speakers that, once you notice it, can be quite distracting from the incredible performers they host. This has been consistent across all the performances Ive attended, and its a little bit disappointing that they cant seem to find a fix. In other words, a little bit of updating wouldnt do it any harm, but dont be discouraged from attending concerts because of its flaws.
Great venue for university & community events. Welcoming & excellent staff and spaces.
Large enough to move a crowd through quickly. Good parking on weekends. Huio Hawaii puts on a fantastic luau celebrating island culture.
Great place for a highschool band competition
Beautiful venue! Always love our trips here. OSU is always a gracious host.
Of the variety of events but this place offers. From seminars and talks to ballet theater Symphony and Orchestra. Theres always fantastic art on display and theres not a bad seat in the house
Very nice location for large meetings and events
Too small for ballet. No live music. Was decently clean. Staff friendly.
Attended the Scholastic Gold Key event for arts and totally enjoyed it! Very well organized. Im one proud grandma! Thank you to all art teachers and presenters!
Great venue for local artists.
Not many multipurpose, large venues in Corvallis...and although parking is an issue, LaSells-Stewart Center is very nice when you plan on 500-1000 attendees. One large theater with smaller rooms available. Good size lobby for mingling and displays. Dedicated catering/concessions space would be a great addition.
Great hall with fantastic acoustics. The balcony is really high up so I would try to get a seat on the main floor
Wonderful hall, outstanding sight linesEasy parking across the street. Acoustics are respectable.
Loved the show, The Promise of Spring . Got to see it on the last day, so this review is a little late.
CIY IS THE BEST CHRISTIAN CAMP EVER
Amazing place for official large scale school events such as India Night, OSU Orientations, Careerfairs, etc. The environment is welcoming and constantly a bit different. Although sometimes it may get too crowded and lines go all the way out to the street when its a wait in line kind of event.
State Band competition held here. Great venue for all that was needed.
Great place for events big and small. Very professional staff and welcoming environment.
A nice venue. Evening parking usually good at Reser stadium. Upgrades coming in ~2020.
Beautiful center with amazing art venue
No bad seats. Great art in the foyer.
For a campus theater its in pretty good shape. Decent size, friendly staff, and features local art in the lobby area. Chairs could be a bit more comfortable but ultimately great place for bigger events.
Acceptable acoustics, nice place
1st time here Great amenities on grounds
Went here for an open house with OSU. Very nice space
Great venue! Parking can be challenging of course, so bring your patience
There is no elevator to the balcony for people like me with bad knees, and its many flights of stairs to get there.
Nice facility hosting a variety of performing arts year round
GREAT VENUE! COMFORTABLE SEATING
Good place which has great performances happening all the time.
Its tricky to get the venue right for the number of participants at any given lecture. Austin Auditorium seemed underfilled, but moving into an Alumni breakout room was too crowded for most presentations.
The LaSells Stewert Center is just down from Reser Stadium and the OSU Bookstore, and it hosts many events and fascinating lectures. It has a lot of comfortable seating, and has bathroom facilities. This center is thanks, in large part, to the donations of the Stewart family, who gave the money in memory of LaSells Stewart.According to Wikepedia, LaSells Stewart attended Oregon State University, was the owner of the Bohema Lumber Company, spent much of his life volunteering for the Parks and Recreation Department, and served as a representative of Oregons District 14. He was born in 1911, and died in 2005.

LaSells is a small building with a large auditorium.
If itd catered, the food is gross.
It is the symphony hall at Oregon State. It isnt grand, but it is totally functional.
Good place for a medium size event.
Good seating for the gymnastics meets.
