Very nice family place. Quiet and you can do a lot of things around the place- zip lining, jogging, walking around the lake, activities in the lake, barbecue, lift ride to see the top of the mountain, mountain rail ride and so much more. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. I am assuming they are local people which shows the hospitality level of the region. I would like to see little better organization from the management. There was a lot of miscommunication between staff directions and reasons why certain things were the way they were-especially on the lake and boats services. Maybe little more communication between management and staff will close that gap of misinformation (which is very important for the guests so they all feel respected and equally treated). The price for the bundle we got was good (especially if you are decent size group- we were 9 people). Bring your own bike if you like biking - plenty of space to bike. Most of the indoor water rides were closed due to Covid-19, but we still had fun. If I get a good package deal again, I will visit the resort again.

Always loved the skiing at Greek Peak since elementary school up through college. Always loved the cafeteria style pizza but now I have been introduced to pretty much my favorite comfort food venues in the Cortland area: Trax. My favorite subs, wings and French fries around. I keep wanting to order different things but theyre subs and wings are just so good. Their burgers look amazing and the service is top notch in attentiveness and friendliness. Just an all around great experience in the dozen or so times Ive been there this year (yes, 2020). Thank you!

Went on the ride during Halloween and it was very fun. The employees dress up and scare you while you ride, so that was neat. They were all very nice, especially the lady dressed as the owl, I wish I told her how much I liked her. Just make sure you dress warm because its freezing at night

I had a great time with family at Greek Peak. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable about resort. I am planning my trip back there in the fall/winter. The only thing that I can say was a downfall for me was the sky tour went down due to an electrical problem, even though that happened there was other things to do on the resort besides some activities that was closed due to COVId. I enjoyed my stay, thanks to housekeeping who keeps the resort nice and clean, my room was perfect and thanks to staff who is very friendly as well, I will be returning.

I recently enjoyed a Friday evening dinner outdoors on the deck with friends. It was my first time at the resort for food and I was impressed. We had a friendly waitress who managed all of our needs with aplomb, and the rib eye steak with red wine sauce and mushrooms was just wonderful. I ordered the steak rare, and to my delight it came just right, not so common in my experience. Now I know why the parking lot is often full here, Ill surely return next time I am in Virgil.

We visited the water park a month ago and it was awesome, but visited again this week and the pool water is filled with loose hairs floating all through the water. For some reason hair is not getting filtered out, and gets stuck between your fingers and toes. Its quite disgusting. There is A LOT of baking soda in the water. Not a big deal- water is saltier and more buoyant. Also, while lifeguards are attentive and very personable, they are NOT enforcing social distancing in the pools and kids are constantly traveling close to and approaching other parties. This is a risk all visitors must be aware of prior to visiting.

Spread out over 3 faces and dotted with fall line drops, glades and mogul fields Greek Peak is a mountain that skis bigger than its stats. Greek has a good variety of trails for all ability levels and is spread out enough to allow room to wander. It was a big motivation behind my #IndyPass purchase this year as knew I would return to The Peak at least a couple times this season. The Finger Lakes location is scenic and the resort easy to access from I-81, the atmosphere is laid back and friendly overall one of my favorite close by places for a good ski day.

No hot water from the bathroom sink faucet and the hot water in the shower took about ten minutes to come out.

The rest rooms were spotless. You cannot bring food into the center but there is vending machines for snacks. Oh well. At the tubing site, the staff was extremely helpful with me and 3 young children to manage their tubes. Everyone was safety 1st. organized and paced nicely to insure fun. I would definitely bring the children back. We all had a blast even though it was crowded it was worth the fun for the entire family of all ages.

Multiple people on premises from quarantined states can have a party of 50+ people all exposing themselves to the rest of the guests but have half the amenities shut down. Must make reservations for pools to keep numbers at a safe quantity and there isnt one spot on the pool decks to sit and couldnt fit 1 more person in the pool?!

My favorite ski resort within an hour of Syracuse. Greek Peak has a lot of runs and plenty of variety despite not having a ton of vertical drop. There are plenty of lifts which give you options if there are lines at the base.If youre looking for more advanced skiing, Hercules is exceptionally steep but short. Its a good place to practice for those giant slopes elsewhere. Odyssey is another highlight, as its long enough and steep enough to build up plenty of speed. Plus its lit at night.Greek Peak also has a very good, recently renovated restaurant. Theyve got plenty of quality gluten free options too.The weakness here is the lift ticket pricing. Greek Peak is the best place in the area and they know it. Charging $79 for the day when I can get a ticket to Whiteface or Gore for $72 (with the Ski3 card) is a tough pill to swallow. To combat this, go on a Saturday to take full advantage: you can ski from 9am-10pm, which is A LOT of skiing. They also have deals on weeknights if you can make that work.

Found it was a great spot to take my kids who are both beginners to intermediate. There are several long green runs which were never very busy, we had a great time. Staff was friendly and facilities were clean. There are several areas where you can purchase food or bring your own and enjoy. There is a large patio outside where they were serving smoked meat platters which were super tasty, with choice of pulled pork, brisket, and sausages, with beans and coleslaw. There were a couple of local vendors on hand with local beers to sample as well. Definitely planning to return here. My kids were a little disappointed with the size of the water park at hope lodge, but it was OK to spend a couple of hours.

My wife and I went for a couples massage and decided that we would spend the day tubing and checking out any other attractions that were available. Our first encounter with an employee was in the arcade area. She was very pleasant, professional, and informative. This young lady would prove to be a highlight and a bright spot in our visit. We then decided to investigate getting a ski lift to take in the views. We struck out as the ticket attendant informed us that they did not offer ski lifts to the general public stating, “we do not want the traffic “. Next up is the tubing, well we were informed that tubing did not open till 4. So we decided to venture over to the waterpark. Once inside the water park we decided to grab a drink and food from the concession stand. My wife and I, along with 5 to 6 other patrons were rudely served by a young man who clearly needed to not be at work that day. His use of profanity, slamming utensils and throwing food clearly disturbed some that looked on in amazement. But once again, the employee from the arcade swooped in to save the moment, offering to take customers orders so as to lighten the disgruntled employees load.We finally made it to our couples massage. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The ambiance lacked just a bit, but after experiencing the concession stand debacle this was heaven. I have not given a review in quite some time, but I do believe that my experience merits a two star rating.

We went over Presidents day weekend. The mountain is certainly nice to ski but we went as a family so my review is from that perspective. We put our two children in ski school while me and mom skied. They gave us unique bracelets for each child but when we picked them up they didnt even check if I had one on. That was a huge concern to me considering how many people were there that weekend. That was by far my biggest issue. They also seemed very understaffed and overwhelmed the whole weekend. Which I can understand but we shouldnt be bearing the brunt of that. All information we were given was at least partially wrong. I think they should definitely be more prepared for their busiest weekend. That said Trax has amazing food and the staff in the ski store were very friendly and helpful.

I was pleased to experience several off slope trails which I loved and was a challenge epically the double diamond.. Ive held off on posting this, because there are so many negatives for a place that has such great potential. I would give it 1 star, but those reviews rarely get read.It all started at check in. The day after xmas. A week where the kids are on vacation and people tend to travel. Winter; a time when people, I dont know, ski. Yet this ski resort was not prepared for vacationing kids and their families coming for their ski trip on xmas week. The lobby was filled with people as expected. One problem. Check in is 4. We got there after 6 and were told we had a 2 hour wait...the same as the 7 other families. None of our rooms were ready? Check out was 7 hours ago. How do you not have staff to clean rooms? They offered us $75 toward their on site restaurants. Anybody who travels to these types of resort knows that this cost them about $10 and will not cover our 1 meal for 4. A very dirty trick which netted them about $80. More on this in my review of Trax. The room was nice, but Im still not sure its what we ordered. The photos on the site are ambiguous at best. If youve ever gone to great wolf lodge, great escape resort, or whiteface lodge, then you know the rooms. This is one of those mass produced rustic hotels with water park features built in. Nice but corporate and overpriced. Our suite came complete without a coffee table. Sounds small, but a room for 6 people may benefit from a flat surface for things. They have them. We just didnt get one. They claimed it had to do with half of the hotel apparently being timeshares. Um, ok.The fun area was underwhelming if youve ever been to great wolf or great escape. The arcade was a definite afterthought, and the water park was run down. Its 6 years old and presents as at least 10 years older. The vent tubes overhead were all blown out and ruptured. The outdoor pool was hit or miss because of the alleged understaffing. The indoor features would occasionally suffer from the same. During our stay we noticed many things were broken or worn out. The staff seemed more than happy to let us know that the management is aware and had no plans to fix things. So now we get to the part that really sucked the wind out of the sail. This trip was for our daughters 8th birthday. We did Gret Escape for her little sister in August, and this was keeping it even. At GE, they had a whole birthday layout available...but you have to ask for it. They do charge for some of the goodies, but theyre all optional. Knowing this, we asked for a similar treatment for this occasion. They offered, and while it wasnt nearly as great as the other it was plenty good enough. They have what they have. And this would have been fine, had they delivered. We had a time set up where they would bring the birthday favors to the room while my brother waited for them and helped while we occupied the kids at the pool. Time came, no show. It got later and later. They finally showed up...with some balloon centerpiece that youd buy at Walgreens for $10. No confetti. No party favors. Why not? We noticed the night before there was a party of some sort being set up in the lobby by the fireplace. As the story goes, apparently they gave our stuff to them. For this we got a half hearted apology. Wed already had our bad experience at Trax, so by now were livid. The skiing was lackluster but the weather was a bit warm. I wont say too much about it aside from maybe its time to update the lifts. God forbid somebody falls of at mount or dismount. They have to put coal in a furnace to get it restarted. The best part of the trip was as we left. We had passes to the tubing facility. It was warm and there was a light drizzle. This made for a limit on their open lanes, but the ones that were open were super slick and fast. The drizzle and being Sunday seemed to keep the lightweights away, so the wait times were short. The staff on the hill werent fazed by the weather at all and were the only ones to this point who didnt seem to hate their lives. Out of space, but theres so much more...
