This place has a great atmosphere, 2 pool tables, a shuffle board, a jukebox that connect to your phone, and a poker game machine. They have some of the coolest bartenders and are now serving BarbQ! The smell breaks me everytime, I end up ordering the pulled pork sandwich! Also they have one of the best bloody Marys around! Like Im not kidding! Im a bloody Mary girl an have been looking for the best in corpus Christi and I have to sayyyy... I think I have found it here at the Texan! They have IPA beer and lets not forget to mention they have cheaper prices.

Love this bar, its one of the only two I really care to go to in corpus. Its not a trendy or upscale tavern, its a bar where everyone who walks in and knows how to act is welcome. Occasional rock bands play on weekends, other than that its never really crowded, but theres always a good crowd :-)Best patio in town, with a large BBQ pit where anyone can come responsibly cook on, they might even supply some lighter and foil if you look like you know what youre doing, and brought enough to share... did I mention theres a zero tolerance for drama? Nuff said huh~

The Texan offers great service, 3 pool tables, electric dartboards, and shuffleboard. The best part is a large covered patio, and well kept garden seating anyone would be proud to have as their own! They offer an open jam session every Sunday night, 8-?, and also serve as a small venue for local and visiting bands. The happy hour is generous, and serve a wide variety of beers!

Texan Drive In is a great hangout for friends and family alike. Staff is Awesome, Live music makes it even more of a plus.

How have I not reviewed the Texan yet? Its a staple for my visits to Corpus Christi - solid dive bar with an amazing walled garden in the back yard, full of plants and trees from around the world. One of the proprietors daughters is a botanist, and she selected a wonderful variety of plants native to South America to provide a private garden for patrons in the back. Worth a stop if you have 20 minutes to grab a drink and chat with some locals.

Great place from my experience. The man behind the bar was awesome. The live band was great and they have a nice outdoor area with lots of seating and washers. Also cheap pool at $0.75 per game

Always good drinks, and the back patio is awesome.

The Valet took really good care of our Maserati. They had our reserved table ready and every one there was so polite. The drink specials were spot on with the right mix of flavors and varieties. The night time helicopter ride arrived after we had finished our socializing with the locals which was just the best. We hope to have our new sail boat christening there if the owners are up to it. We really love this annual visit.

I have to say I was impressed. The interior of the bar and the service was nothing like I expected. It was clean, and the service very good. The drink prices were reasonable and very competitive. I liked it.

Cozy inside small yet spacy, however outside in back is like no other, like you stepped into another part of the world. I have never seen a setup like what I saw at the Texan. Bartender was cool and was informative, so I wont hold it against him that he is from Louisiana and is a LSU fan, lol.

It was great. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Rock Show was great with Refuel.

Its an old, dive bar. A fun hole in the wall kinda bar with a juke box. Occasionally they have some live rock bands. If you need a smoke or want more of a laid back area they have the best backyard/smoking area in town. Youll find yourself in a secret garden with picnic tables almost hidden within trees and bushes & center area set up for bbqs & am outdoor game of washers. Inside they also have a couple of pool tables, dart boards, and shuffleboard!

If you want to get away from the stupid kids going to the bar trying to get laid and that annoying young crowd with terrible music this is your place. Im 23 and even I hate going to young, hip places because the atmosphere isnt relaxing and laid back like this place is. The bartenders and regulars here are so nice, theres a great outdoor seating area with lots of trees for shade and wildlife if thats your thing. People even grill out in the patio area sometimes. One of my favorite spots to hang out and unwind! Definitely recommend

Not at all what we expected for bike night sponsored by 104.5. Host never acknowledged or promoted the station. 6 people sitting at the bar 5 people behind the bar and waited 5 minutes to get a beer and bartender seemed like it was a hassle. Music was sparse. The outdoor area was the only reason they get 3 stars instead of 1.

Cold BEER and liquor drinks. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly people. Pool tables 2. Music box. Awesome outdoor patio With picnic tables plenty. And it is shaded by trees. Really cool outside. Bbq pit out back. Serve beer buckets too. What more do you want!!

This is one of my favorite bars. Its dark, the backyard area is beautiful, music is always good, and beer is cold. The reason its my favorite is because of the back area. You can have private secluded conversations with plants surrounding you. What more could you ask for.

Awesome day bar.

The quintisential hole in the wall. But, it holds a beautiful surprise outside the back door. A great place for pitching washers or throwing darts.

The restrooms are small. The drinks are very expensive. When you ask for your drink dressed its half naked. Didnt enjoy it. But the bartender is really nice.

Bike night was car night. We could not find a place to even park safely. No bike parking. We were blocked in by a car and had to push bikes to get out. I wont be back until there is bike parking on bike night.

From my first visit to this bar, I liked it and still do, all the bar tenders will make you feel welcomed. Theres this new bbq guy and hes always grillin and his food is real good.

Small bar with 8 stools, 6 tables, 2 pool tables and dart machines. But huge fenced-in backyard with plenty of seating, trees, and benches. Best part is that you can hear the juke box outside.

First time here...I admit. I was skeptical at first but I am completely won over! Its almost 2am and I dont want to leave!!!

The bartender was not good, had to ask her to wash her hands to make my bloody Mary, and wouldnt stop yapping away to her other costomers....and I believe she forgot to put the vodka in our mix.....we left after that.

The people here are really nice and it has a wonderful back patio and garden where you can relax under the stars.
