My husband and I got married here a few years ago. Fantastic spot for a small informal quick ceremony at sunset and no permit was necessary for under 20 people. Absolutely gorgeous skyline and super quiet!

This spot in Coronado is the most relaxing spot ever. It it completely silent the only sound you hear is the waves crashing into the rocks with a soothing fizz. You could bring your family or partner here to just have a good talk or just enjoy the view and relax. There are benches for you to sit and stare right into the abyss of the ocean and just over the horizon is downtown. Very accessible with parking and almost never packed.

Please note that this is a very small park, and that fishing is not legal here. The rocks behind the houses on 1st Street are privately owned by the houses, which is why the rocks look different behind each house. We didnt notice that. A homeowner called the police on fishermen who went on the rocks and they were ticketed for trespassing and fishing without a license. One of the guys said he didnt have any identification with him, and that conversation didnt go well with the police and miraculously he found his ID. Bayview Park ends where the houses around it begin, please be aware of that. Also as I am typing this (June 26) Bayview Park is actually CLOSED and will be closed for the next few weeks--- Not due to Corona but due to a sewer repair that required a complete excavation.

It has lovely little beach when tide is low. Fab views across San Diego Harbor to downtown San Diego! There are 4 or five benches to sit on and it is peaceful .

A hidden gem of an overlook, the only public space on the east side of Coronado where one can stand at the bays edge and take in the SD cityscape across the water. Its especially beautiful at night!

Bay View Park is a small, secluded shoreline park with shade trees, benches and nice landscaping on the island of Coronado. The park is named after the great views it offers of the downtown skyline and bay at this almost secret location. When you are on the bench at this place, the rest of the world drops away behind and around you and makes the views of San Diego “pop out” even more.

This is one of the nicest places on the island to just sit and enjoy the peace. Ive spent a lot of my life on Coronado and, even though I didnt live here, it will always hold a very special place in my heart. Go pick a bench, sit and enjoy the small moment of stillness in your life.

I dont really want to provide a review for this park. .Ive been enjoying this area for over 30 years..And the best part about it, has always been the view and solitude...Keep in mind this is a very small area inset between two homes...Always be respectful and quiet, and please pick up after youself...

I live here, grew up across the street. Played lots of capture the flag where one base was this park. If i had any problems with this park its that everyone is always getting married here, its normally filled with lots of drunk people that in no way live on the island. I have lots of memories here but its far to popular now. At least its no longer a gay sex meet up.
